Appearance and Personality:

A young woman in her twenties, she stands at 5'10" with a lithe but lean build. Dark brown hair reaching past her shoulders frame her face with dark brown eyes bearing a sharp gaze. Her body and mannerisms are not very feminine due to the circumstances she grew up in, but that suits her just fine. Cautious and alert, she may give off an impression of being paranoid, though not without reason. From an early age she learned that the world is a dangerous place, and the only way to avoid trouble is to see it well before it comes into play. Contrary to what her taciturn demeanor and laconic speech imply, she is not the backstabbing type. She will not actively manipulate or betray others however should she learn that you have ill intentions, she will find ways to give you a hard time. She might not say anything about it, but don't expect her to risk her neck the next time you're in a difficult situation. She will forgive but she definitely won't forget. Those who prove their loyalty and trustworthiness will gain hers in return, the same goes for the opposite.

In battle she will aim to end conflicts using the most pragmatic approach, preferably quickly with the least amount of loss possible. Even if the odds are in her favor she will be on the lookout for anything unexpected, as she knows all too well that a single misstep can mean the difference between life and death. According to an old adage, whatever can go wrong–will go wrong, at the worst possible moment. You can never have too many contingency plans.

She has a natural aversion towards human mages, and feels more comfortable in the presence of non-humans. She doesn't trust those with a human appearance as they could easily be hiding behind an illusion, aside from her bad past experiences. As for matters of romance, if she ever cared about such things she'd be heterosexual.

History:

Shiloh's life has always been a hard one. Her parents were good people who passed away in her early childhood, and she was shuffled between distant relatives. After moving for the fourth time, she ran away and lived on her own in the woods following a severe bullying incident three months into the school year. There she met a female mountain troll and her two sons, and became a part of their family. She spent her adolescent years learning the ways of the world from her adoptive troll-mother and the otherworldly folk she encountered. Somewhere along the way, the kingdom's council of the magi proclaimed her guilty of treason, though the charges were false as they perceived her as a threat. Every time they tried to capture her she would find a way to escape, until finally they threw her into a coffin, bound it with chains, and buried her alive in an open grave. Whether by providence or misfortune; instead of suffocating to death six feet below the ground the coffin was transported to another plane of existence, entering Canelux. Freed by the damage done to the coffin upon impact, she obtained a new goal: to understand the inner workings of the world and possibly find a way back home.

With time, she has made a place for herself in Revaliir through hard work and investment. Beginning as a person who ran errands for the folk in Adeluna that nobody else would bother with, she gradually built up her reputation among the bounty hunters and odd-jobbers. Soon she was sending deliveries across Canelux and as word spread her quotas began to reach into Parvpora. Now the owner of a thriving business, she has expanded her courier services to include trading across the continents with her airship, the Clepsydra. The road to the present was marked with struggles and turmoil, some leaving lasting effects on her beliefs and opinions, but in general not much has changed. Unwilling to make the same mistakes as the deities of old, she refuses to forget that above all else–she is a servant of the people.

Clothing and Equipment:

Having most of the belongings on her person confiscated prior to her live burial she only has the clothes on her back, her trusty sword and dagger, and her traveler's sack containing an empty canteen and old tinderbox. She is dressed in a plain white tunic, brown culottes, a simple leather belt, sturdy leather boots, and leather armor beneath her clothes. With a bit of luck, she's managed to build up an extensive armory and an interesting collection of relics. Now the proud owner of a warship and several loyal crew members.

Talents and Abilities:

Having lived half of her life in the wilds and the other half in the shadows of the rooftops, she has the agility and stealth befitting a thief if she had decided to become one. Her experiences in escaping from pursuers and encounters with otherworldly beings have honed her senses to be more acute than the average person as well as her wits. Her weapon preferences lean towards bladed weapons like swords and daggers, though with a bit of creativity anything can become a weapon. Dexterous and swift, she is also quite adept at breaking things–an uncanny ability she displayed from an early age. These traits combined make her an excellent saboteur. After all, your enemies can't attack you if you incapacitate them first. What she lacks in talent regarding elemental spells she makes up for in her above average magical resistance. Spending time around fickle magical beings who use magic freely does that to you.

Sea Mirror
A shield wielded by the original sea goddess. It is a mirror made of abalone shell, mother of pearl, and ancient ice. This shield has the innate ability to grow at will. The larger it gets the less durability it has before the ice will crumble. It will reform with a small time frame first as water then as a solid. Water will also call to it, forming barriers where the shield cannot reach as long as the shield is intact.

Created as the first real project given to Angela’s avatar Raine this bluebell flower has sapphire gemstone petals and when moved or shaken rings like a clear bell. True to her status as Revaliir’s Bird Ambassador and “Bird Rights Activist Leader” this bell summons doves. Why you would want to do such a thing… Who knows.

Angela's Golden Cornucopia
Golden fireflies float around this solid gold cornucopia at all times. These graceful little bugs keep the cornucopia floating whenever it is not in use so that it is not violated by any tainted surface it may be around. Flowing from it is a rush of green magic like a roaring waterfall. The magic falls and dissipates into nothingness. It is owned by the Mother and a very sacred object… Why she agreed to let you borrow it… Only she would know.

The Golden Cornucopia provides a healing aura to not only the holder but also the area surrounding it. It is capable of healing or providing food but not both at the same time. In the hands of a mortal it’s capabilities are small but helpful. Use it wisely for the affects only last a short time and it takes time to gather Angela’s vast magicks.

This gift from Natsumi has a special propulsion system. It is shaped like a ferret with a big fluffy tail affixed to the end and sounds off voice recordings of all ferrets it comes in contact with, opting for those most appropriate to the current situation. It can be used to launch ferrets at enemies or magical projectiles in the shape of ferrets that swarm the targets in front of them. It is one of Shiloh's most cherished possessions. The max range of its projectiles is 12 feet.

Statis Ring
This golden ring has brightly colored, galaxy-like gemstones embedded in it. On the inside of the band is an inscription in a small diamond from the Goddess Angela, “Woe to those that wish harm upon my protected child. Feel my warmth and stop for a time. May my child have time to escape or think of an answer.” The ring will trigger itself when the user needs it as the Mother’s voice pours forth from the diamond reading those words. Enemies within ten feet of the wearer will find themselves briefly standing still in time, but also invulnerable to all damage. When the spell releases, that invulnerability will remain for a small moment, but the enemies possessing it will be struck by the other part of the ring: Latoya's Lecture. The inscription will become, "Listen here, you little-," followed by a random insult in plural form and be spoken in the voice of a different woman. This spell will prevent any violence on the part of the enemies until the invulnerability wears off, and will forcibly knock them back if they attempt to get closer to anyone with the intent to attack after.

Created from shards of the night sky and Lacriamium this shield forms around the user like a mother’s embrace. It starts as the size of a pebble and reacts to dangers around the shield’s owner. Depending on the will of the owner this shield can also extend to protect others. When expanded the shield’s colors move like the stars in the diamond coloring that Lacriamium possesses. This shield is not invincible as after one epic spell hit or many smaller spells it will shatter and reform into the pebble. The shield takes a few minutes to reform so be wary.

This original Mistral was the legendary god weapon used to slay Dalanesca during the Eldritch being’s first attack. It is crafted from Angela’s very soul taking the property of mother of pearl as the material the spear head is made out of. The spear’s head is filigree in design not seeming as it could do much damage but it is stronger than Lacriamium. The spear handle is made from gold. Even the reforged Mistral has power behind it but not as much as the God Weapon Mistral. This special spear has the ability to sap life force to use as power within the spear. The more life force it absorbs the more powerful the hit. The spear itself glows a soft green when it has life force stored within and once it hits the life force dissipates into the ground below.

This is a specialized gift for everyone who wishes to challenge the spire. Angela has poured her whole heart and her love for the world into a single source. The wearer of this ring is able to cast a divine protection spell on themselves, becoming nearly impervious to any peril while the spell lasts. (Spell can only be used once per day. Spell lasts for only a few moments.)
