SOMETHING IS HAPPENING!

The moons have reached peak brokenness up in the skies as they constantly flicker in and out at all times. The cracks have spread so visibly that during the day the moons can still be seen. Worse, the clouds have begun to spiral and form into eerie dark tentacles that appear to reach out from the horizon to the moons as if trying to crush them.

The Luna Sea has formed a whirlpool the size of Abed making it impossible to send ships through the center of the continents. Ships must take the long way around. However, not many sailors are making the trips these days… Even pirates have stowed away in their caves, on the docks, and even in the taverns drinking themselves mad. They fear the sea…

The sea’s inaudible whispering has turned audible. Thousands of voices yelling for help. “Help us.” “Fear the Void.” “Please, come here.” All desperate and all trying to reach the heroes of the world. The voices seem to be located in the center of the whirlpool now.

Making things worse Sihajja has suddenly gone off course. The giant whale city is now heading directly for the whirlpool. The civilians who live on the whale are in full panic mode as they get closer to the whirlpool every day. There is no way to evacuate the city in time.

There are now twin heartbeats that can be heard in the night sky. The sounds appear to be coming from the moons as if they were in distress as they flicker. Shiloh Kyrie, the Goddess of Storms and Luck, and Angela Rose, The Goddess of Life and Love, have mysteriously vanished from their temples with no word where they have gone. Their spheres of influence are still raging with power signifying they are alright. However, the mainland is now in a whirlwind of panic as rumors spread. Just what is happening in the Luna Sea?

Reports of shipwrecks off the northeast of Abed have been growing more frequent, particularly for ships sailing in from Nisshoki. Local fishermen are discovering abnormally high levels of flotsam washing in from the open ocean as seafaring vessels sailing in or out towards that direction go missing. Some superstitious sailors believe it to be the sea's curse, while others suspect Vilpamolan pirates encroaching on Parvporan waters. 

In Baltil miners are going missing following the opening of a new mine shaft in the Zujiuchu Mountains.The progress of mining operations has slowed to a halt as more miners go missing as time passes. Search parties have been dispatched through the tunnels, though none were successful in finding where they might have gone. Scouts reported finding their abandoned belongings in the caverns, but no tracks–as if they were spirited away.

A dangerous pressure has fallen over the river city of Jayou. Over the past few weeks, young capable men have gone missing with no clues left behind to aid in finding their whereabouts. Whispers have started in the city, suggesting a curfew be put in order as these disappearances have been traced to starting at nightfall. With the nocturnal underbelly of Jayou thriving so strongly, these talks of a curfew have remained only as rumors. More chillingly so, strange deep scratch marks have  been found outside of doors to people's homes; usually noticed in the morning  on their residents'  way out for the day.

Black clouds have gradually become a nuisance over the wandering city of Hoja Mesto. Storms are not an odd occurrence to the great traveling structure, but these clouds seem to be following  it wherever it goes. Reports of shifts and movement  within the storms have flooded the gossiping streets, though skeptic believe it only to be lightning. Along with this strange phenomenon  are the less than pleasant dreams plaguing the citizens. Their fitful sleep has led to headaches throughout the day and a slow down of any commerce as more and more people are finding it harder to get a good night's rest. The Dreamweaver's interest has been piqued by this oddity, but what could it mean?

Tyr has been infamous for being haunted by the dead, however things have begun to change in even stranger ways. Those bold enough to sail past the abandoned isle have returned with reports of a massive, looming figure high above the tallest structures. Eerie lights flicker from what could be a head, and large chunks of rubble quickly begin raining down like meteors at the vessels. As ships approach, an oppressive aura emanating from the island itself has compelled those more superstitious to turn back. Ships that continue on ultimately are forced to change course as all on board begin experiencing a persistent and painful ringing in the ears.

In the sprawling Haza Savannah, many tree-dwelling animals have begun to peter out in population leading the local migratory tribes to speculate as to whether or not there is a sickness spreading through the area. Investigations have found the grasses and most vegetation to be healthy, however all manner of animals are becoming wary of the trees. As there are no longer any animals residing in them–normally arboreal species have resorted to sleeping on the ground. Scholars from far and wide are confounded by this sudden change in behavior, and have yet to find the cause.

The barrier around the contaminated grounds of Emiria has been stronger than usual. While the tendrils of the corruption usually pose a threat to those who venture too near, in the past few weeks there have been no reports of danger. Meanwhile, the citizens and visitors in Komiteia have experienced some of the most pleasant nights' sleep in ages. So much so that there has been a spill over of those wishing to bask in the good nature that has come upon the halfing city. The effect on peoples' sleep has not gone unnoticed by the deity of dreams. Whether or not this is for the good or the calm before some unforeseen misfortune is still yet to be known. One thing is for sure: the gods are taking notice of the changes spreading through Revaliir.

The Howling Plains and Ethereal City has been under attack from rampant beasts roaming through the Spirit Realm with wild abandon! Inhabitants are holed up in their residences keeping them at bay with whatever protective wards they can gather. Among these fearsome creatures are ravenous serpents larger than oxen who devour whoever they find, and monsters in the form of cats who steal away bodies of the recently deceased, leaving behind trails of spectral fire.Those who wish to venture into the Kujishoku, beware–your first step very well may be your last. Those who perish within the realm will have their corpses stolen to never be found again.

Both the continents of Canelux and Parvpora are experiencing massive earthquakes of unparallel chaos. Cracks in the skies are showing a severe mana shift as shards of glass-like material fall from where the cracks are forming showing where the pocket voids are. Sometimes these rifts show the realms of the gods hiding within. These rifts are fastly closing just about as fast as they appear to be forming. The earthquakes last for several minutes at a time. The Gods are working together to hold the landmasses together and the Voice has sent out large ethereal tree roots into the lands of both Parvpora and Canelux keeping them stabilized.

The cities in both continents have entered mass hysteria whenever the earthquakes occur… but what could be causing them at such a massive scale?

The oceans off of the west coast of Canelux have now formed dangerous whirlpools destroying every island chain within its reach. All islanders have been safely evacuated to the mainland by the gods as the Voice keeps the whirlpools from eating away at the main islands and mainland.

Word is starting to slowly spread around the sailing and merchant communities that setting sail to the West of Canelux may not be good for business anymore. Ships are being found by other ships, floating in the ocean with no crew and no cargo left on board, signs of fighting are sometimes found but there is no evidence to explain what might have happened. Some ships just don't come back at all. Pirates were at first blamed, but they have experienced the same things to their ships. Theories abound, but no one has any evidence to back up what they think is going on. Needless to say, some merchants are losing money and tension is slowly rising as people try and figure out what is going on out in the ocean.

OOC: From here on out until the event launches these will be weekly. I'll post the next update next Thurs-Sunday and they will continue until the event launches!

More ships have gone missing in the recent days, merchants are starting to take huge losses and it's getting harder and harder to transport across the ocean. Some ships aren't even being found anymore they simply never return again, sometimes a wreck is found or fragments floating in the water, but never bodies. In desperation some merchants have hired out to larger war airships to ferry the cargo across the ocean, they are paying a huge price for this service, however, and not all of the airship crews are honest either. Tensions are rising and some supplies are starting to run low making the merchants jack up their prices to try and keep a profit coming in.
