"I did not know that there was more than just me hunting or harming the pirates. I think it would be fun to meet a captain in a similar line of business. so i guess im in." she said than realised it did not have a sheath, or way to put it away if she needed two hands to do something.

Noting her attempts to find a place to put the sword, Malik offered her a small oblong ring of metal. "This will serve as a sheath until you can get a proper one from a tanner. It won't cover the blade properly, but it will allow you to fasten the sword to your hip. Just be sure to add oil to the blade each evening so that it doesn't rust." He pointed down the street and continued, 'there is a leather worker there, if you would like to stop there and pick up a sheath before we see if the pirate-hunter captain is available."

She left him with the sword as she looked through the shop for a sheath that would fit. after a bit she found one and bargained for it. once both sides were happy with the price she returned and sheathed her sword. she put it on her belt than stated she was ready. 

"This friend of yours have a name?" she said as she waited for him to take lead.

"Captain Deudermont is his name, captain of the Sea Sprite." Malik said as he led her to the docks. As the boarded the ship he addressed said captain. "Good Sir, my friend her has a pirate ship in mind to be sunk. Despite the fact that it left the port a little while ago, no doubt not flying it's true colors, I have assured her that your ship is fast enough to catch the blaggards. Vinsue, if you would please describe the ship for the good captain."

She nodded to her friend than looked at the captan. "It was a Brigantine with red and black striped sails. and the hull was stained a tad red. And she has at least 3 captives. 32 cannons and around 100 crew" She said than realised she had yet to introduce herself. but the smith did that for her though she would have used her last name if she had had the chance. if any name was none of her it would be her last. 

The captain seemed like one that believed in luck wich meant he would not like a woman on his ship for the fear of bad luck. "As far as i know it was set to sail to pirate haven." she stathed.

As Vinsue described the ship to the captain Malik pondered, with some amusement, how quickly he had gone from an area of his expertise to an area he was almost wholly unfamiliar with. "Deudermont my friend if we are to catch this ship it seems to me that leaving sooner rather than later would be to our advantage."

"Indeed" Deudermont responded, did an abrupt about-face and began shouting orders to his crew. In short order the ship was underway.

The ship already had 4 hours or so head start and they did not need to give them more. after the captain started yelling orders she looked at the smith who she knew knew nothing of ships and the orders the captain was yelling. she knew the orders all to well and could recite them in her sleep if she had to. "Come, we need to get out of the way and i think you may like the view." she said before walking to the port side of the ship. 
The spray of the water and the wind relaxed her. Usually she would explore the ship but for now she was fine above deck looking over the water and watching the city slowly fade away. "Ever been on a ship like this before?" she asked not knowing if the captain would return for chat or not.
She had not been in a ship fight but she had watched a few and wondered how this one would play out if they cault up to the other before it docked. Cannon fire and sword fights were fun to watch but she knew it had its dangers. She had nothing to worry about, Malik on the other hand had obviously not been in a lot of fights. corse his perfusion had made him strong. "Ever played around with swords?" she asked. thinking the answer would be a no. 

"No, I've not been on a ship before, but I am not finding it as unpleasant as I had feared. As far as swordplay goes, I haven't any formal training, but I have learned what works and what doesn't the hard way: namely by being attacked and surviving." Malik looked around the ship with interest, watching everything that was going on, but not asking any specific questions. The clipper ship made excellent time in its pursuit of the pirates and caught up before they had made it to pirate haven. The clipper began circling the pirate's ship in preparation for the coming battle.

The Brigantine waited to fly their flag as the Clipper came in range. The captain could be heard shouting orders and the men raced about preparing for battle.than the brigantine shot at them and raised their flag. it was a warning shot that missed the ship by a few yards. the captain was quick to fire the cannons back and hit there masts and rigging wich completely stopped the ship. she watched as they started aiming at one another's crews and fired. the two ships got side by side and most of the crew started swapping ships and fighting.

she smiled then jumped across. she at first fought with her new sword taking 9 men down before using her electric energy to force the men unable to fight. she had than found a way below ship and was saddened that there captives were dead. it was to late for them by the looks of it thy were cut as the pirates saw the coming. once above ship she saw the pirates surinder and whent to find the blacksmith. she used the close from one of the dead to clean her sword before sheathing it and jumping back to there ship. what the captain would do to the captives was anyones guess but she did wonder. 

Malik watched as the young woman who's acquaintanceship had triggered this voyage nearly took the enemy ship all on her own. He did get into a brief scuffle with one of the pirates that ended when he pinned his enemies sword down and punched the pirate in the face with his off hand. He had always preferred brawling anyway. With the pirates rounded up the captain now had to decide what to do with them. He approached Vinsue and said "Milady, we have a problem. This particular crew is well know for having… purchased friends for themselves in the coastal towns of this area. If we bring them back they may spend a week in jail before their toadies n the government set them loose. We could drown them here, but that is technically illegal. It's up to you."
