Sure, Synthesis was a bit of a coward and scared out of her wits right then, but at the same time she despised the nerve of these people. Her good new friend had already forked out a small fortune for a single fruit. After everything, Synthesis had been pushed to the point where she would rather attack them than appease them. So she threw her fireball in answer and created another, and another and another; throwing them all in rage before those low-lifes could even compose themselves. They fell about trying to dodge them and Synthesis couldn't care less. She scowled at the scum, not stoppping her assult.

The fireball was enough of an answer, and Jesgil could not help but smile in agreence. "Very well," the maid commented watching them get pelted with a rain of fireballs, holding them back into the defensive, not not before a chain of lightning was throawn there way.

"Alright then, you bitches," if that is how it will be, then just die! Grog!" In a hyena-like laugh, the goblin bounded forward, hopping around the firefalls, pushing in the distance, though the occasional one did hit to back him off. It was not much in terms of blind fury damage, but enough to hold the idiot back.

"Awaken, my blood, and grant me your edge," Jesgil chanted in dragon-tongue, hands now swirling with energy.  Her eyes shined with slits, as if reflecting her hidden away nature. "Grant me my blade that will grant me the power to wreck havoc!" The energy moved and altered, forming itself into a long handle with a large mass of fog at one end. As the fog compressed more, it solidified itself into a long handle before bearing upon it a massive axe head. "Genleman, I would like you all to meet Tillan. Tillan, meet those who threaten our lives."

With a large leap, Jesgil moved to have the pair meet Tillan… persoanlly… as Synthesis aided in back up with rain of fire.

"Augh! Our boss said they would be easy targets…" the gnome muttered before having to leap out of the way from another axe swing.

Synthesis was pretty impressed with the dramatic and lethal way the maid summoned and introduced them to her axe, Tillan. It was only when a spark of lightening zipped past her cheek that she was remined to stop staring and start throwing more fire.

It was a little more difficult now, as their enemies had regained themselves and she had to avoid the gnome's lightning attacks, while aiming her own more carefully so as not to hit her ally. She was soon breathing heavily from the effort but pleased to see that Jesgil was managing to keep the mallet of the goblin completely away from her with relative ease. They seemed to make a good team.

Every now and then she felt a little shock as a stray spark managed to strike her skin and her own fingers started to feel raw from handling so much fire with so much haste. However the thugs seemed to be aquiring many more hits than either her or Jesgil and were slowly being forced back down the road. It was at this point that the gnome pulled some sort of a horn from his belt and blew on it loudly. The sound rang out clearly and would probably be heard from streets down.

Synthesis's heart sank as she realised that more scum would soon be on its way to turn the tides of battle. She blasted a particularly vicious and scorching ball of flames at the horn in frustration, quirking a smile as she saw the gnome dropped it and began cradling his burnt hand in pain. From then on, his lightning attacks were much weaker and less frequent as he hung back even more from the wrath of Tillan, leaving his goblin friend to do most of the work.

This gave the girl hope. Maybe if they could take out these two before any more arrived…

Jesgil had no real qualm about the fireballs being tossed around in the tight corners of their battlefield. After all, it seemed her little friend was quite talented in her aiming and quick casting. All she really had to do was keep the Goblin at bay while keeping in mind the positioning of the gnome. Still, it seemed the two did have a minor size advantage inside the tight corridor, and they were making good use of it, with the goblin attacking on one side while the gnome fired from the other.

"Bash! crash! Smash!" the goblin cried out with each jump and swing of the club, having the maid use the axe head more like a shield. It was times like these she wished Tillam was smaller. After all, the large weapon was difficult to swing with in tight corners, and it wasn't the best weapon to lunge with. However, each blow the goblin did was more like a rhythm than an onslaught. One that seemed so rhythmical, it was more one note. Dull boring. Like a bard that only knew how to play three stanzas of a song, and this repeated them.

Enough so that it let her catch the goblin mid-swing and hold him out to take an oncoming electriical bolt. Sure, this still meant she felt the charge as well, but at she was not the one who took it directly in the back. It was also enough to cause the gnome to stop in stun from said action, allowing her to toss the red idiot into him before backing away to Synthesis.

"I suggest we move out towards the town square," Jesgil suggested, Tillan dissipating into fog once more as her eyes shifted back to a normal human's look. "If they assault us in the open, they would face worse crimes than dismemberment." It also meant getting away from their summoned back up as quickly as possible.

"Good idea!" The girl replied and turned tail towards the town center. She ran fast, despite her being already very fatigued. Jesgil seemed to keep pace just behind her with much less difficulty. They had reached a slightly wider street when they saw two more humanoids running down the road in their direction. One was a female human with a sword, the other was a male cyclops fully kitted out in armour but with no weapon. Behind them, the two previous males were staggering into view.

"No!" Synthesis cried at them, "Tell me you're not with those two menaces!"

They woman simply shook her head while grinning sadistically. "We're here to carve you up!" She cackled and ran forward suddenly. Synthesis stumbled back and threw fire at her as best she could, seeing the woman faulter as it hit her sholder. She then began alternating between throwing flames at the woman and the Cyclopse, hoping if she could heat his armour enough he would start cooking inside it. She had to hope that Jesgil was up for a challange right now because with her attention so split, she couldn't hold them all at bay.

As time went on, the young druid couldn't help but notice the slowness of the Cyclopse. She decided to take advantage of it and began running around him. The woman and the gnome tried to follow her but before they could predict her actions she was clinging to the back of the brute and sinking her teeth into his neck where his armour didn't reach. He howled in pain and tried to throw her off, but by the time she did the wound was bad enough for him to need to retreat from battle immediatly. She spat the gore from her mouth, feeling a little bad.

But then turned to see the woman advancing on her and Jesgil dealing with the previous two alone. This certainly wasn't looking good.

It was not good to see the reinforcements right around the corner, especially with their older targets still keeping on their tails. While two were weakened, they were still fairly outmatched. Synthesis's hands were looking rather crispy from having to follow up with her fire magic… Their attempts on escaping was being much more difficult, and she did not want to summon her weapon again before disbanding it as they tried to head to the public space. After all, having a massive axe is not exactly a wise move. "I guess I have no choice," she said, her eyes shining a more dangerous gleam as the smile vanished from her face.

"Awaken my blood, and grant me your frigid heart," she spoke in tongue once more, her eyes now glaring sharply as her skin morphed, her face looking like a layer of scales wrapped tightly with a layer of skin. "May ice take over and conquer those who stand in my way, as I accept the truth of my heart." Opening her mouth, her teeth now looked more like fangs before letting out a loud scream, a wave of ice soon following after as it encased the Cyclops and woman in a sheet of ice, slowing them down in the frozen temperatures.

Not even bothering to ask for permission, Jesgil followed up with taking Synthesis within her arms, telling her, "We are moving to the town square," not taking any objections from her before kicking herself past the chilled foes as she rushed for the public fountain.

Well, this was a rather new turn of events. Her companion could scream ice as well! She put up little resistance as she was swooped off of her feet and nodded as Jesil revealed that they were going to the town square. That was a very sensible course of action that she had surprisingly not thought of. She had been so wrapped up with surviving the moment that she hadn't thought long term.

She blased a couple more fireballs over Jesgil's sholder before finally noticing just how charred her hands looked looked. They stung like hell and the girl grimanced as she focused a little healing magic into taking the edge off of it. The problem was that now she had noticed the pain, she didn't dare touch anything. Then she had an idea. She closed her eyes and focused all her magic towards mending one hand. Then she used that hand to get her canteen of water from her bag and pour a little over her still cooked flesh of the other. From now on, she deicided, she wouldn't used her healthy hand for creating fire. Then she could use it for other things safely and reliably without being in agony.

Surprisingly, now that she had a chance to catch her breath, Synthesis reckoned she had enough energy to heal the other hand but decided against it, in case she needed that energy to fight or heal Jesgil, who admittedly didn't come across as needing any help.

Finally, she saw they had come to the town center. She nodded to Jesgil. "Thank you."

As soon as the town center's main fountain started come into view, the maid took one final look back, watching their pursuers slow down before stopping. It seemed their plan was a success, seeing as they had been driven off from the continued front now that they could easily be in sight of the city guard. With a sigh, her pacing slowed down before coming to a walk, setting Synthesis back on her feet as soon as they became visible before taking a deep breath.

"Focus… focus…" could be heard under her breath as her features slowly morphed back to normal. Her skin once again turned smooth and her fangs went back to normal teeth. By the time she stopped muttering, her eyes opened up, showing how they were before the confrontation. However, before she could do anything else, she bowed to Synthesis before stating, "Please forgive my sudden outburst back there…

"You see, in truth, I am actually a child of a silver dragon, though as you can see, most of my features show human resemblance. Still, that linage does mean I have access to powers over ice, but whenever I draw them out, my heart freezes over.  It is as if the ice I use freezes over my own heart when I use it. That is why I often try to stay away from it."

Synthsis looked on in wonder. It was only when she watched the transformation reverse that she really regester what a dramatic change it had been. Jesgil had looked positively fierce, something any sane person would be wary of. Yet in the heat of battle, having been too distracted with her own survival, she had looked over to instinctively recognise the other female as her ally. She had been unafraid of Jesgil even when she had swept the druid off of her feet and begun transporting her forcfully to the town center.  Her scales nor her fangs peterbed the girl, who somehow knew her to be a benign force. She supposed that it was this sort of life-or-death situation which prompted people to trust their most base instincts unclouded by the mosconceptions of the mind.

So as Jesgil set her down and bowed, Synthesis found her apology quite unnessesary, although she appreciated the gesture. The maid was so polite and refined compared to a lot of people the druid met on her travels. She had become used to abrasive natures of the solitary type so Jesgil was a breath of fresh air. However, one this that always seemed the same was the uniqueness of people she met while moving aroound. The daughter of a silver dragon and able to harness that power, no less. The maid was surely a valuable ally to whoever could affort her or those lucky enough to be on the recieving end of her generosity. When her heart wasn't covered over, Synthesis could voice that it was both huge and munificent. Therefore, the girl could understand the other's reluctance to use that power, given it's high price. She was also curious with many questions she felt herself desperate to ask.

"Not to worry, at all!" she brushed off the apology as lightly as she could, "You did wonderfully and you saved me back there. You seem kind enough to me and in the heat of battle there is not always much room for mercy. I didn't really recognise much out of the ordinary for the situation. So I must ask, just how out of touch are you with your normal self when you use the power of your heritage?"

As she spoke, she began to walk slowly in the direction of the the town centre, signaling subtly for the other to follow her. The sooner they were in the middle of people again, the sooner they could both relax. And Synthesis definitly needed a rest afer all that, her unhealed hand still aching and stinging distractingly.

"I, uh… don't really know," she answered, scratching her cheek with a slight blush, feeling embarrassed that she lacked the answer to that. Still, he was able to easily see Synthesis's signal to follow, and gave a nod before following behind, arms up front with a hand curled on top of the other. "I have honestly never tried to awaken the full force of that power, considering that would mean actually becoming a dragon myself… and it is hard to think of people accepting me, considering the stories I hear of adventurers and their 'grand deeds.' "

As the pair walked more into the open, her eyes scanned the region immediately, seeking out the image of a city guard nearby. As much as they had a distaste for their method of justice, they were their insurance on getting out safely.

"If you could not tell, most of my power and magic align with my dragon blood, hence its response to my Draconian chants. However, by doing that, I can only call forth any magic through them as well, meaning I must call forth some of that power to bring Tillan back into my arms. Still, at least that method is not as exerting as calling upon my dragon senses or ice powers, hehehe…" It was clear she was trying to shake off her nerves, even if it was a feeling more of the unknown. "Oh, that reminds me..

"Um… do I have any… uhh… white or silver showing," she asked, tapping on Synthesis's shoulder to get her attention before holding her hair back, as if to expose the roots.
