For those uninformed, our reis plants may just appear to be a form of rice grown by our slaves. But it has been intertwined with magic to ensure its survival in the cold. Thankfully, the magic has survived through many generations of breeding, and my people have been able to coax it from the ground to aid our revival. Our slaves work the fields, planting, tending and harvesting the crop. It is used in many things within our fair city, including the brewing of reisgwin, a drink compared to wine by outsiders.
