A single word entered Yavish's mind when Angela explained the story of Simone's survival and Auclair's demise.  Damn.  She glanced downward, hoping that she would never run into Simone as she had no clue as to how she would react in the former ruler's presence.  Even though the deity before her declared Simone innocent, Yavish still held her reservations.  She recalled her adoptive mother's teachings about understanding others' points of view and forgiveness, so maybe some leeway could be found should circumstances be unfortunate enough that she and Simone do end up meeting.

The mood was lightened when Angela talked about how she could be were one foolish enough to anger her, and Yavish could not hold back a look of surprise when Raine and the goddess brought up the latter's past relationships.  The only word on her mind was the same albeit with greater amazement.  Damn!

When Angela discussed how a son of hers always wanted to rule a piece of land, Yavish twiddled her thumbs and asked with concern, "Umm…isn't that how evil rulers start?  I mean, not all rulers have ambitions of enslaving the populace or being cruel conquerors, but still.  You check in on him from time to time, right?"

Another thought she wanted to point out was, "Also, wouldn't it be wise to always be concerned with what Nemesis is up to?  One day he could decide to do lots of damage."

By this time, Yavish had set down all of the books she was intending to read, having lost all interest in them.  Before the group departed the library to visit the afflicted daughter, Yavish turned said books in to the librarian who set them on a nearby counter.  She took up the rear as she walked with the group.  Along the way, Yavish grew wary of a visit to Sularia where the Rosenites lived.  Just the thought of her being swarmed by the inhabitants was enough to unsettle her.  Yavish gazed down her body and wondered if her more beastial appearance would put the Rosenites off rather than boost their interest in her.

It would certainly make traveling around Sularia easier no doubt.

She was impressed with the manor when they arrived and felt sympathy for the woman who answered the door.  Yavish obeyed the order to wait outside with Raine as Angela and Xeik were inside the room further investigating the girl's harrowing condition.  As the work was being done, Yavish asked Raine, "So, your mother is a deity with a church and worshippers.  Are there any groups that you know of that would actively seek to hurt her followers?  Vile cults and the like?  I've heard a saying that one can't become powerful without powerful enemies.  There's already Nemesis."

Yavish's mood fell when Angela and Xeik returned and revealed that the girl was indeed afflicted with a curse and was left even worse for wear after it was broken.  However, she felt slighted when Angela said she would leave her in the care of Raine and Xeik like she was a child.  Yavish let it slide however, as there was a more pressing matter to attend to and eyed the pendulum with curiosity when Angela handed it to her with the mission of locating whoever was responsible for administering the curse on the girl.  She nodded at Angela and vowed, "We will find and deal with those who committed such a vile act against this poor soul."

After Angela's exit to her workshop and Raine's explanation of how the pendulum worked, Yavish worked her eyes on the engraving.  A moment passed and Yavish began to wonder if she was doing it wrong when the pendulum activated and directed her to the west.  She pointed in said direction and replied to the others, "We need to head west.  That's where we'll find them."

Before they made their way there, Yavish looked to Xeik and Raine and asked, "Which of you is the better negotiator?  This group sounds more like a fight first and ask questions later, but with some diplomacy we may be able to convince them to drop their ways.  Otherwise, a skirmish will be in order."
