Pick was the first to rise. He was rested. Quietly wandered around the small room with his spell book in hand. He didn't want to wake Tea, but he also wanted some practice casting spells. Pick leafed through the book and chose to practice the agility spell. Boosted speed could make for a clean get away. The spell seemed simple enough, but he had no idea how to start. The spell called for a vocal component. Great. Pick rolled his eyes and took a deep breath. Maybe he didn't need to be that loud? He sent his hands through the variety of motions depicted in the book; he felt silly, but he could almost feel magic swirling around as if his hands were moving it like dust. He then lightly whispered the small incantation as he finished the last hand motion. Nothing happened. The magic faded. He was missing something. He read the book once more, and noticed something he hadn't before: a a material component.

"Damn" he whispered as he read through what was needed, "why do I need licorice root shavings?" Disappointed he moved on to a different spell. His attention landed on a spell named Replication. It required no material component. He made the necessary movements, and once again felt magic moving around him. He whispered the spell as he made his last movement and he felt a pulse of energy wash over him as three Pick duplicates were created.

His eyes widened and he gave a silent cheer. As did his replicants.

Tea woke up with a yawn, he still felt tired, but he couldn't rest, as he got up he couldn't help but groan as he got up. He turned to see Pick wasn't in bed, but his equipment was still set aside next to his bed. "He couldn't have left then." Tea mumbled to himself, he then looked to his equipment, it seemed his robes were gone, he guessed the Eliza took his clothes to wash. Tea thought maybe he could go back to sleep

"PICK!" Tea heard down stairs, it was Eliza's voice!

Tea then ran down stairs not knowing what to expect. He reached the end of the staircase only to see four Picks, three were going wild jumping around and running, and one just confused trying to get the others to stop. Eliza was shouting at Pick angered by this situation, she could tell which Pick to shout at. Before Tea could make himself known, one of the Picks just on his back, this false Pick was patting his head excessively. Tea managed to push him off his back, the Pick hit the floor, "Pick what did you do?!" Tea asked shouting now.

Pick seemed to be flipping through his book, looking for a way to end this, but a Pick grabs the book. It made a random noise at Pick, then looked into the book, it then gave a disturbing smile. It shouted something, nothing happened, each false Pick began to inflate quickly and explode with light, the book hit the floor.

"WHAT THE HELL WHERE YOU THINKING!" Shouted Eliza.

Embarrassed, Pick looked down at his feet. "I was trying to learn magic. I guess I just need more practice. I'm sorry I won't mess with it in your house again." He picked up his book and frowned at it, "if only I could read better." He looked up, "again, I'm sorry. I didn't think I couldn't control it."

"Oh you can't get out this being like a child!" Eliza responded still mad, but Tea tapped on her shoulder, she turned around "Yes?" she asked flatly. Tea whispered to her Pick's age, "Oh, oh goodness, well just don't cast spells in my house like you said." Eliza stumbling over her words. "Now look don't cast such high level spells either without proper teachings, it's impressive that you managed to cast with no prior experience, but you can drain yourself quickly." Eliza told Pick.

Eliza walked over too a shelf of trinkets and took a pouch out, it was a nice brown leather pouch with black strings holding it together. She then went to behind the counter filling strange things, closed the pouch and tossed it to Pick, who quickly caught it. "In there are some common components for spells, I am not sure what spells you have so I gave you the basics. Just don't play around with spells in the city streets either, okay?" Eliza said with a playful smirk.

Pick grinned, "thank you, I'll put the book away" he pocketed the component pouch as well as he did so.

"Well, just be careful." Said Eliza as she turned to go back to bed. Once he was sure she was gone and out of earshot he laughed silently, and pulled the book out again.

"Oh man, you telling how young I am was the best thing." He said to Tea beaming. "Though it wasn't all an act…" he looked at the book again, "I need to be able to read better."

"Pick, just calm it down with the spells okay, we need a more open and safer environment for practice, and I could teach you how to read if you want." Tea offered.

Tea looked like he could use some sleep, but unfortunately he was wide awake at this point, "I guess we can start now if you want." Tea yawned then grabbed a book knowing Pick's answer. "Read me the first page of this book, that way I can tell how good you are, then we can start from there." Tea stated

The two practiced reading well into morning, and when the sun rose Pick's stomach began to growl. He looked out the window.

"Hey, I'm going to go pick up some groceries. Wanna come? I don't want to bother Eliza more than we already have." He got up and closed the book, "plus I want to try some of these out." He said with a devilish grin.

"You say 'we' like I have a part of what you do." Tea said smirking, "But I do want to purchase my own goods, I don't want Eliza to give us her's, it's not fair for her." Tea stretched.

Tea was able to find his robes and a cowl with a hood, this will help make sure no one will see his ears, "I'm just borrowing it." Tea thought. He walked out with Pick, "Alright, there is a market area for fresh food down the street, and don't hurt anyone with the spells." Tea knew that he couldn't stop Pick from casting spells, but at least warning him will give Tea some peace of mind.

Pick led the way even though he had no idea where he was going, and anytime Tea would try and give him directions to the marketplace he would just say, "nah it's fine, I'm getting everything I need." With a big smile on his face he moved carefree back and forth between crowds pilfering and pocketing various he either needed or thought he may or may not need in the future. He was finally in his element.

He opened his spell book and attempted to cast a spell. He decided to try out his teleport spell to make it back to Tea, whom he had left far behind at this point. He took the components he had just taken, and made the necessary motions. Suddenly he disappeared, and then reappeared dangerously close to Tea.

"Hey!" He said excitedly, completely unaware that he could have teleported straight into Tea if he had been a little less careful. "I'm getting the hang of this now!" He looked like he was having a blast.

Tea jumped at the sudden appearance of Pick, "Wow! Hey! Be careful where you teleport to, you don't want to teleport into someone, then we got a real mess on our hands." Tea said irritated. "I am gonna go buy some dried meats and fruit, you stick close, so you don't do that again please."

Tea was trying to concentrate on the air as he walked, how it moved, what it did. Tea was having a hard time understanding something he couldn't exactly see, so he looked to his teaching by memory. The temple said in order to understand the air, you must trust it's freedom and take the path of least resistance. But Tea had a hard time also trying to make sure Pick doesn't bite more he can chew, though Tea started to notice something.

Pick's moves seemed to never touch anyone, and even after picking a pocket he almost never turned around, knowing he succeeded. He never stopped moving, and his mind was focused and free from distraction. Tea pondered on this, "Maybe I'll try that." he mumbled. Tea began going into the crowd, he made sure to not hit anyone, but he wasn't going to steal anything. He was doing good but eventually bumped into a man, "Eh watch it!" shouted the man with a raspy voice. Tea was scared for a moment, the cowl's hood was still up, lucky enough, "Sorry excuse me." Tea walked away quickly. Tea notice they were finally in the right area, "Pick we made it, where are you?" Tea shouted.
