Serci watched as Shiloh calculated the possibilities in her head. Every now and then, he'd cast looks at the mummies over the edge and wonder how they'd escape. After a few minutes, Shiloh spoke to prepare his sword. Very well then. "My sword will cut all of those in our way." Serci grabbed his sheathe and yanked the sword out of the sheathe, slashing at the air before he raised the sword to the sun, casting its shadow over the mummies. It's green glow grew three times in strenght and size at Serci's determination. "A story for those back at camp, Shiloh. Let's make it good." He watched as she threw a bottle up in the air, and… jumped off the roof of the building… He ran to the edge, careful to not fall off and watched as the mummies parted way in the light of the bottle. So, this was your plan, he thought. He was hesitant at first to jump this far from ground, but gathered the strength and jumped with a running start. It was a graceful leap, arms spread high as he reached the apex of his jump and began to decsend.
Several seconds passed as he felt a sholting pain in his legs. He let his momuntem contininue and he rolled on his shoulder. Shiloh beckend him to follow as they began running in between the mummies as they began to part around them. Every now and then, a mummy would break through, eaither a gap in the barrier, or if they were pushed in from the many mummies behind it. Shiloh's words echoed his mind. "We're not going to fight them. We are going to plow through." His goal wasn't to kill the mummies. Just indepacitate them from following him and Shiloh. He ran ahead Shiloh, and bashed the mummy with his sheild, sending the rotting creature flying back into the pack. Shiloh and Serci kept up their sprint, Serci doing his best trying not to trip in the loose sand. Behind them, a mummy was pushed into the circle and Serci fell back to knock the creature out. Reading the massive hook the mummy was about to throw, Serci held out his shield, and threw and overhead stab, impaling the creature in the head. A strange brown liquid dripped down his sword as he launched a massive kick, sliding the mummy off the sword. Before he knew it, the cirlce's end was close and he spritned to catch up to Shiloh.
Another mummy was pushed into the circle not to far from him up ahead. He crossed his body with his left foot and the momuentum unfurl as he launched a massive spin attack, sending the mummy towards the ground. Up ahead the mummies were thinning out. The end was close. He started shouting, gathering a crowd in the back, to distract the undead from Shiloh's companions. After slashing a few more rotting corpses, the large looming buildings of the undead long behind them, they bursted out of the hoarde at full sprint. Tripping over a dune, Serci tumbled a couple of feet in rough sand. He lay on his back, looking up at the clear sky with the shining sun dead over him. He had never laughed so hard in his entire laugh as the adrline pumped through his body.
"Shiloh! You are amazing! What even was in that bottle?" He asked, a smile wide across his face. He pushed his self up and dusted off his clothes, his white and grey robes now a mixture between brown and a soft red. "Oh, man! That was amazing! Do you want to go back to your friends? How are the artifacts we collected?"
