Lewis wasn’t going to argue that he was feeling a bit dejected when it came to the whole thing. It was hard for him to swallow what was happening, but as Simone spoke he felt the resonance between them change into something more tragic and heartbreaking. It could easily have been described as a perfect lie. A walking contradiction, showing how much she could give while simultaneously being revolted by giving it. And it was all for survival. This gave him a different view on how he saw the world, and how he interpreted the people that he had saved all those years ago when he and Xeik had run together.
Memories of the times they had rescued children and women of all ages from these dens, how sometimes they never truly recovered. For as many as they saved from that life, half went back to it on their own terms, unable to do anything else but use what they had learned to survive. And of course, the few who could not live with what had been done to them…
Those were perhaps the most tragic. Lewis barely understood it, but he remembered the pained look on Xeik’s face when someone they worked so hard to rescue turned around and jumped from Hoja. And it was because of Simone, the feelings she was suppressing and hiding, of all the things he remembered from her dreams and nightmares, and what he was experiencing now that he underwood finally just what she had gone through.
Simone’s click of her tongue brought Lucile back to reality, and he saw her get up from Rhenakos’ lap. Both he and Rhen seemed a bit confused, with Rhenakos looking a little more than disappointed at being cut off. As Simone moved closer to Lucile, and spoke, he almost asked her what she was talking about before she forced herself onto him, kissing him deeply.
There was more shock and surprise than anything, but he couldn’t help but feel that Simone was trying to make him feel better. While it was appreciated, he wasn’t entirely sure how to take this, as if this was a lesson, he wasn’t sure how well he’d retain it at this point. But she was gently, and pulled him over to the couch, putting Rhenakos between them before taking the time to kiss him again.
Rhenakos didn’t need to answer the question, he was obviously enjoying what was happening overtop him, and even took a moment to cop a feel on both Lucile and Simone’s asses. Lucile fell forward a bit, once again his hand ending up on Rhenakos’ thigh, but he wasn’t gentle this time. A cross of annoyance and frustration shot through him, and he squeezed hard.
“You’re a little feisty too, aren’t you?” Rhenakos asked with a smirk. “Just remember that not everyone likes that…”
“But you do, don’t you?” Lucile asked with a forced, devious smile. He turned his attention back to Simone, and kissed her again, mimicking her grabs, playing around just enough to tantalize.
