Her infiltration was a success and no one suspected a thing. Shiloh wasn't the only deity who had come to see the latest addition to the Conclave, albeit for reconnaissance purposes. With new deities ascending and descending with every world event she was determined to stay on top of the information network she had meticulously built. Getting through the maze wasn't the worst she had experienced, in fact the trials she and Angela had designed for Eytelia had been far more heinous. She was now walking the breadth of the Observatory with borrowed clothes while an unnamed guest was currently sleeping off a mild concussion somewhere else. Her disguises were up, her scent masked, her voice pitch altered. Now all she had to do was eavesdrop and look busy. Her heart almost stopped when she saw Angela and her husband, discreetly steering herself away so the elder goddess wouldn't blow her cover. Fortunately she was being distracted by one of her children, which from the snippets Shiloh was hearing–had sticky fingers. It was a good thing she wasn't actually wearing 'her' clothes or dressed as herself today. Anything that was important was safely out of sight and out of mind.

Things were going swimmingly until a bunch of party animals started flinging pixie dust everywhere–which unfortunately got on Shiloh in a dusty cloud. Coughing and waving while trying not to breathe in, she was trying to get as much of the questionable powder off until everything went black. For the next twenty minutes there would be a gaping hole in her memory as the effects of the drug strung her along for a wild ride. It was a very good thing she was completely disguised as only a select few would actually be able to figure out her identity throughout the drug-induced lunacy. In that span of time Shiloh managed to convince several musicians and bards to join in on a bout of impromptu singing while a large crowd formed as the disguised goddess was belting out lyrics that made absolutely no sense. Swiveling around a pillar in the form of a spoony elven minstrel she sang:

"I see a little silhouetto of a man–Scaramouche, Scaramouche, will you do the Fandango? Thunderbolt and lightning, very, very frightening–Galileo, Galileo. Galileo, Galileo. Galileo Figaro–Magnifico-o-o-o-o!"

As her altered voice trailed off she began waving her hands to conduct the musicians to play into a crescendo while the trio of bards began their segment.

"I'm just a poor boy, nobody loves me."

"–He's just a poor boy from a poor family."

"Spare him his life from this monstrosity!"

The crowd had grown into a mob and they were all cheering, waving their hands before they parted for an elven minstrel in a feathered hat to power slide across the floor on 'his' knees. This continued on for ten more minutes before Shiloh rode the wave of hands and somehow managed to slip away in the commotion, later regaining consciousness underneath a covered table. Once she was sober, she snuck her way over to the corner where she had left the unconscious gagged guest and left his garments beside him in a neatly folded pile. Then she left, having gotten what she had came for. She was feeling slightly nauseous and she didn't know why, but the pixie dust had completely worn off thanks to her abnormal constitution and she wasn't keen on staying around.

"When all else fails, move on to plan B. And when that plan fails, move on to the next plan."

”Oh gods,” she muttered with a laugh. Her delicate fingers playfully slapped his chest while tucking in tighter beneath his arm while wrapping around his waist. This evening was to celebrate something that Raith had always felt deep in his bones. May it have been arrogance or understood fate, the blind male was now a deity upon Revaliir. ”I am sure that aunt Isleen had loved that sort of declaration.” Her head rested against the crook of his shoulder while the pair recognized the arrival of her brother. As always, the two men found a way to spar with their words even if they found grand amusement with the others presence.

From beneath her circlet there was a frown in regards to ‘potential lovers’ for her brother. Never had Dae spoken of such things. It was a curious mention even if she brushed it away. Despite her finding her mate at an early age, she could not truly think of her brother ever being in a relationship. Alairia was not surprised that Raith rose to the bait put out by Dae in regards to the vile competition. ”Would you two please contain yourselves for one moment,” she partially hissed. There was a flush on her pale cheeks that they would say such things with people beginning to stream in.

Deep inhale. Deep exhale. Raith was quite full of himself. Ria knew this, and it took her some settling to handle it at times. ”Yes…you are a new star, dear.” She patted his abdomen with a shake of her head as if placating him. Dae began to laugh heartily to the point where he had to brace his hands on his knees. Once he got a hold of himself, he tugged on his sister’s dress sleeve before moving off to give ‘admirers’ the ability to meet Lord Raith. ”You two can be so insufferable sometimes,” she muttered before the first newcomer approached.

Ria inclined her head in greeting to the gentleman as Raith introduced her. She could feel the heat rise up the back of her neck as he called her ‘lover.’ Though as the title was embarrassing, it made her feel whole at the same time. Her spine straightened a little more as she attempted to hold her image up to what a god’s mate should be. Dae gave a curt wave of his hand while leaning against a chair he had brought over just in case Ria would need it later.

The siblings recognized Angela’s energy quickly as they remembered it from when they were younger. It was also the power that flowed through their grandfather’s veins to keep him alive. ”Thank you, my lady. I feel very lucky to be able to be beside my love during this transition. I also, as well as my entire family, thank you for allowing grandfather to stay with us. It is because of your selection that he has been able to stay alive. He takes great pride in being your champion.”

Ria sucked on her lower lip lightly as Raith mentioned his own staff verses her’s. She lightly pinched his behind before turning to Myrra. ”Thank you for coming to join us tonight, young miss. Please enjoy yourself.” Her tone was genuine as she angled her blind gaze downward before they all left. Dae was chuckling lightly to himself as he was now straddling his procured chair while sitting on it backwards. This is going to be more fun than I thought,” he said low enough only for his family to hear. Ria hissed at him before the next goddess appeared. ”Ohhh…this is too good.” If Dae was going to say anything else, he didn’t get a chance as his sister took a wide swipe to smack him behind her back. The assassin’s eyes widened as he noticed the other ‘gift.’ His lips were pressed in a thin smirk. He normally wouldn’t believe that such a thing would happen, but then again…these were gods.

For the arrival of Lady Serafina, the half elf could bring herself to bow her head respectfully as he stomach churned at the mention of the ‘other gift.’ She swallowed hard, even as Raith declared his ill-need of the other woman. Her hand clenched the back of his jacket a little tighter as if to reassure herself. ”Thank you for coming,” she said almost too meekly. It was becoming more apparent to Ria that those of Raith’s company were on a different level. They were gods. She knew this before, but it was becoming very clear what they could do or would do.

More came into the room to join in the festivities. Raith did well with receiving all those that took the time to come up. She did her best to keep her spirits up after the latest goddess. What did help was the arrival of Lord of knowledge and magic. Raith had spoken highly of the deity, but he was far more charming than she imagined. Feeling the light touch against her knuckles of a kiss. Again a blush heated her cheeks as she gave a small curtsey in response. ”I have heard much of you, m’lord. Thank you for helping my love. You did more than you know.” Her smile was bright now as the god left.

She felt a poke in the middle of her back as her mate kissed the top of her head. ”What?” Turning slightly, there was Dae holding up a glass of wine for them to share. When had he gotten up to get refreshments? He was straddling the chair again though a plate was balanced on his knee full of food. ”There is no term to describe you,” she said while taking the offered goblet. She took a drink than offered it to Raith. ”I appreciate the offer…but I am not leaving you alone with those that would offer you whores.”

From there things quickly disintegrated. The woman’s brother was quite amused that the musicians were playing some upbeat music. Not only that, the crowd turned mob light as they cheered and danced. Ria clenched her teeth as she worked to adjust her sensitive hearing. Dae was standing beside the couple with his own arms up to wave with the minstrels talented playing.

Attie

Character Info
Name: Attie
Age: 19
Alignment: CN
Race: Human (Dead)
Gender: Female
Class: Wanderer/Scholar
Silver: 0
"Thanks Lixue!" Attie said enthusiastically, "It looks so good. As for the people here… I do know the guy with the short black hair, his name is Icarus. But everybody else is a stranger. Hey, do you want to talk to the lady in the yellow dress? We can go up to her and say hello!"

Attie didn't know many people at the party, and she didn't care as much to get to know them. Although she liked having friends…there was something about the attitude from most of the guests that rubbed her the wrong way. Perhaps it was that they never smiled. Or perhaps it was because they were grouped together and rarely interacted with anybody outside of their little gathering.

Either way, Attie was just happy spending time with her friend and eating the food. Her eyes turned back to the food and she stabbed the meat with her fork. Normally she would have just used her hands but the etiquette lessons with Lixue had taught her to use the fork. So she stabbed the meat and shoved it in her mouth as quickly as possible, to avoid spilling any sauce on her dress. Attie's mouth was filled with food and she ate as fast as she could. Once she was done, she used a napkin to wipe her mouth, like a proper lady.

In a matter of seconds, her food had been devoured. She then heard the bards playing a strange music. Looking over to Lixue with a big smile on her face, she attempted to pull Lixue over to the dancing area. There was a strange singer who was singing words of nonsense but Attie didn't care. Instead she began dancing to the song, not caring about how she was dancing or who was watching her. There was a smile on Attie's face and it was clear that she was enjoying herself. There was food, friends, and fun which was far more important than anybody's opinions.
