#### Pet Keywords

**-can cast**

The companion can cast spells valued at 700 silver or less so long as they are not summoning spells other than conjure food or summon item. The spell must be bought before it can be used, and characters share their spells with their pets.

Some pets come with spells included - like the Basilisk with paralyze. You don't need to buy the spell in that case.

**-can morph**

You will only see this tag on pets, and it denotes those pets with the ability to shapeshift. Certain pets have restrictions, such as the wraith only being able to morph into people or creatures that have died. These restrictions will be listed in item descriptions.

**-can fly**

You will only see this tag on pets, and it denotes those pets with the ability to fly. Certain pets have restrictions such as only being able to carry 1 or 2 people. Any restrictions will be listed in item descriptions.

**-mountable**
You will only see this tag on pets, and it denotes those pets with the ability to be ridden. Certain pets have restrictions on how many can ride them. The restrictions will be in item descriptions so pay attention!


#### Weapon Keywords


**-slashing**

You will only see this tag on weapons, and it denotes those weapons deal damage through cutting using a sharpened edge and can cause bleeding.

**-piercing**

You will only see this tag on weapons, and it denotes those weapons deal damage through puncturing from projectiles or stabbing from sharp points. Piercing attacks can pass through weak points in armor if the attack is precise enough and has enough force behind it.

**-blunt**

You will only see this tag on weapons, and it denotes these weapons deal damage upon impact through smashing. Concussions and broken bones are examples of injuries inflicted from blunt damage.

**-martial**

You will see this tag on weapons, and it denotes those weapons require a certain level of training in order to effectively use them in combat.

**-ranged**

You will see this tag on weapons, and it denotes those weapons deal damage from a distance through firing projectiles. Bows, crossbows, and slings all fall under this category.

**-melee**

You will see this tag on weapons, and it denotes those weapons deal damage at close range. Weapons that make direct contact in combat fall under this category.

**-exotic**

You will only see this tag on weapons, and it denotes those weapons have additional abilities imbued through enchantments. These enchantments are different from those obtainable through the alchemy shop items and cannot be removed.
