It wasn’t often that he visited the great walking city, primarily because it gave him odd feelings to do so.  A fallen god had once held residence here, and in his absence the place felt haunted, bare.  The markets were still filled with vendors and their wares, homes always had occupancy, and everything went business as usual, and yet that vacant feeling prickled at the back of his neck.  He had never known the archon personally, but there was an odd feeling of betrayal that came from walking through the streets.  Then again, he could have known him and been unaware since that was the former god’s skill in order to keep his identity hidden.

Still, it was a marvel to be had.  He himself preferred his airship for travel, but this structure was unmatched in wonder.  Every so often if he stayed still for too long he could feel the slightest motion and that was the only giveaway that the city walked at all.  Presently he was coming to visit one of the libraries here, having been told that perhaps one of Hoja Mesto’s ancient branches held the tome he was looking for.  Since Chae was also a fallen deity no one had access to her great library anymore.  Such a pity.

Like the architectural design of the legs and stone faces, there were many books in the library that he was now discovering were told in languages long lost to time.  Maybe it was a silent joke or riddle left by the archon himself, and he smiled briefly as his fingers brushed over their spines.  Dust collected on his fingertips as he moved down the aisles, slowly finding himself surrounded by languages more recognizable.  It wasn’t until he was on the third floor that he’d even come close to the category he was looking for.

Lacrimarium was still a bit of a mystery as it was a new substance to Revaliir, but he was hoping that it wasn’t as new as everyone thought.  Angela had summoned it, which meant that in some way it had to have existed.  Being a mineral enthusiast himself, he wanted to know as much as he could about all matter of stones, metals, and gems that inhabited the crust and core of Revaliir.  That also made it all the easier for him to get distracted in this section.  His own temple had a library filled with scrolls and tomes, many of which having to do with crystals and stones, but it might be time to add another wing.

Taking a stack of books, he moved to a table and quietly placed them all down, smiling politely to the other readers at the end of the table.  A few in the city had recognized him, and even a few bore his symbol of worship, but likewise they knew that he was a private deity and didn’t rush him.  He sat down, breathing out slowly and pulling a book from the top of his stack.  He blew out on it, sending some of the dust in clouds around his face before opening it carefully so as not to crack its precious spine.  It was going to be a long day, but at least it would be an interesting one.

There he stood at the edge of Hoja Mesto. The wind blew his hair around like leaves, easily and effortlessly. Taking a deep breath and closing his eyes. Right now, he wishes he could fly right off of this. He didn't, knowing if he took off right now there would be trouble. So, for now, this would have to do.

Taking a step back and turning around he smiled and walked deeper into the city, continuing his search for a place for his shop. Trying to find a place to set up shop was harder than it seemed in the fabled walking city. There was either too little people or too small of a space. So, like any good merchant, and kept looking and hoping he would find a spot soon.

About to give up hope, he leaned on a building and looked at the ground, thinking of possible ways of creating a spot just for him that wouldn't get him thrown in jail. Two gentlemen passed by talking, one was helping his buddy find a ring for his soon to be wife. Yoshiko's head shot up and looked straight at them. Smiling he held out his arms and yelled at the two men.

"Good day, sirs," he began clasping both of his hand together, "oh boy do I have something for you!" Reaching into his pocket and pulled out a beautiful golden ring. Both mens' eyes lit up like a spark ignited with wood. "How much for it," the man, who was probably getting married, stated in a gruff voice. "You're finest jewels," Yoshiko said. They both looked at each other then back at him. The one who had spoken reluctantly gave him the bag of jewels. "Proud to do business with you!"

The men both walked away chatting about how happy she will be. Meanwhile, he smiled to himself. That ring wasn't gold and certainly was worth jewels. It was a rusty old bronze ring he found and painted gold. He whistled and put the jewels into his pouch, with a turn of his heel he went off searching once more.

After hours of looking, nothing turned up. He was tired and his body ached. Deciding it would be best to relax and study, so he headed into the library. Seeing all the people reading and not looking up from their books, he decided to try to sit semi-far away from all them. One good look at his face would give away his dragon heritage. Pulling a book about how to navigate the stars from the shelf, and he sat down.

He looked up from his book and looked around at the other people. All of them seemed plain and simple, but one stood out to him. A man who he felt he knew. This man looked so familiar Yoshiko didn't want to look away. So, he did what anyone would do, stared at this man until he figured out who he was.

After moving on to the third book, he started to notice a tickle at the side of his head.  It was a familiar feeling and one he was sure all people could recognize: someone was staring at him.  It wasn’t threatening, or at least that’s not how he took it, and merely lifted up his eyes and moved them to the side.  He caught the pair and offered a small, polite smile.  Whoever they were they appeared to be young, but looks were usually deceiving.  After all, he himself appeared barely in his twenties and was in his seventies.

His attention returned to his own book, but after committing the page number to memory he closed it and rested it atop his stack.  Trusting no one would take his spot, he moved from his chair and around the table, going to the same one that the boy was sitting at.  No one stared like that unless they had something to ask…or were trying to figure something out.  Either way he would oblige and took a chair, pulling it up so that he could sit across from him at the table.

During his years he’d met many different kinds of people, so he did well not to bring attention to the young man’s face and how it gave him away as being nonhuman.  His eyes flickered down to his book: navigation with stars, a subject he knew quite a bit about: one of his closest friends was a fallen star, and he himself often travelled by airship for leisure.

Even without the library setting his voice would have been soft, but he managed to keep it from too hushed of a whisper, “That’s an interesting subject, are you planning on a trip or simply interested in expanding your knowledge?”

Yoshiko's eyes turned reptilian-like as the man sat down. He wasn't use to people actually coming over. Generally, people tried to get his gaze off of them, via them moving out of his eyesight. Others tend to simply ignore him and continue with their lives, hoping he would lose interest. There have been times where he was engaged in a staring contest, those were fun times indeed.

Moving his book to cover his face, knowing very well the man could see his scaly skin from sitting right in front of him. Now, he could see the other gentleman fully. Still not knowing who exactly this was, Yoshiko narrowed his brow confused.

It was until when the man spoke was when he snapped back into the real world. His eyes went back to their human state before he replied, "Guess I'm doing a little of both." He stated chuckling to himself and smiling.
