Docking in trading ports was becoming more and more familiar to Philomel. The crew of the Sea Naga were seemingly more akin to trading their stolen goods than hoarding them, which, in its own way, felt like a noble cause. Still, Phil was surprised that they were actually allowed to trade with Sidhiel, it being rather closed off and selective in its contact with outsiders. However, Captain Vales apparently had some kind of connection within Maeron due to his being a dark elf, though she was fairly certain it was because he had threatened someone. But that was to be expected.

As as they pulled into the port, Phil rolled up her map and exited the navigator’s cabin. So far, she was only an assistant, a glorified intern on the ship. Even still, she hoped to one day become more essential to the crew. Till then, she decided to get to work. Before she could hop off onto the docks, though, a senior crew member stopped her and warned her about not getting caught. If she was arrested for thieving here, she would not be shown mercy. “Just stick to the list, kid. Don’t try anything sneaky,” he instructed, to which Phil stuck up her chin indignantly. How dare he even suggest she’d be seen? He wasn’t even the captain, so what did he know?

Despite her grumblings, the young sailor did plan on making the trades she was supposed to. She unloaded a crate of spices and began to walk towards the market, taking note of the strange buzz in the air. Blowing a wispy strand of ginger hair from her face, she struggled to find the right booth with all of the commotion. Phil overheard talk of some sort of rabbit disturbing the town? That can’t be right, she thought, finally reaching her destination. As soon as she set down her crate at the stall, a high elf nearby let out a shrill shriek, pointing at a large sparkling bunny hopping down the street. “ What?!” Phil gasped, watching as several people tried to stop it with their magic. While some attempts were successful, most obviously did not do what they were intended. One wizard attempted an ice spell, instead ending up with a puff of glitter that flew towards Phil. She coughed a bit as sparkles engulfed her, confusion swimming through her head. “Guess ya miss a lot when ya live on a boat…” she grumbled, squinting at the creature.

"Ah there it is! She was right after all. Now, just sit still if you could…" A young lady with long blonde hair rushed past the chaos, armed with a bow and arrow notched ready to fire. She had on a pair of high-laced boots and a wine-red dress, and had the air of a noblewoman. Not far behind was a small olive-green wyvern flapping its wings, chasing after its owner. Professor Ryou had returned from another of her excursions with tales of encountering a fantastical creature made of pure magic. With exaggerated gestures of its size, the lady alchemist had thought her teacher was merely stretching the facts. But when reports of it appearing around the world proved true, she gave it a second thought. Perhaps there was more than a grain of truth to it.

Setting off for Sidhiel by airship, she went after her former professor in hopes of a rendezvous on the island. With magic being warped by the mystical rabbit's presence, only ships by air and sea could allow entry. This was her first time visiting the land of the high elves. She herself had elven heritage, though the elves of Endapano were not the same as those who lived below Iria. Hopefully she wouldn't face the locals' discrimination because she was a half-elf. Hours ago she had set foot on land, and had been given quite the surprise. That rabbit was more than enormous–it was gigantic! And the way it shimmered, it truly was like a living manifestation of arcane power. It moved, acted, and even fussed like a normal animal. But when people rose up to confront its magic-twisting presence, it retaliated. It came as shock to her, honestly. This completely dispelled any misconceptions she had of its nature, and made her realize that this was no animal nor a magical beast. It was raw magic, in a shape that most found familiar. Temperamental and unpredictable would describe the way it acted. And now that it had grown so powerful, it was acting on these fickle impulses.

Luckily for Liselotte, she had other talents aside from magic. As the rabbit loped around a corner, she drew the bowstring taut and let an arrow loose through the air. It hit the magical monster squarely in its lower haunch, resembling more of a cactus needle than a projectile. It didn't seem to have much of an affect at all. This was troubling news. "Perhaps…I should take a much more forward approach." Reaching into her travel bag, she produced a small glass vial with a clear liquid. This was a highly concentrated distillate of the essence of several toxic plants and flowers. Belladonna, foxglove, sarut de noapte, oleander, datura, and many more were reduced to this small bottle. Pulling out an arrow from her quiver, she carefully dipped the head into the vial's contents. "That should do nicely. If the fates be kind, my next shot should have a little more bite than my first." Capping and stowing the poison extract away, she continued her chase after the rampaging rabbit's form.

"Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin."
