Backstory:Philomel was born in Sularia into a wealthy noble family in the Red District. Her mother, Alethea, worked as a healer, the family occupation, whereas her father was a common gambler who happened to enter her infirmary. Thea and Bonifaz raised their daughter together for about two years before Baz grew restless and left. He still visited the family for a few more years before Thea finally banned him from returning. Still, Phil always remembered the stories her father would tell, and thus, her thirst for a more exciting life began.
By age 15, Phil was fed up with attending boring Rosenite parties and having to act like a lady all the time. She had tried before to convince her mother to let her go find Baz, but Thea adamantly refused and just kept a closer watch over her daughter. Then one night, at a charity ball, Phil snuck up to her room, packed a few essentials, and escaped through the window. She caught a ride with a local to guide her through the desert, then found her way to Vilpamolan, her dad's old home. After a while of searching for her dad and having find creative ways to get out of trouble, Phil was recruited by Garon Elgor to join the crew of the Sea Naga.
Garon found her in an alleyway, at first glance getting mugged by a much larger pirate. He saw her give the man her small bit of silver, then immediately swipe his much larger bag of treasure as soon as his back was turned. The man didn't even realize his items were gone. So, the orc approached her and offered her a job, then introduced her to Captain Vales, who accepted her into the crew. Phil now sails the ocean as navigator of The Sea Naga, leading the adventurous life she'd hoped for.
