She closed the door after entering then gazed at the ship's beauty. She reached down to the floor to feel the diamond floor then looked up at the column of glass in the middle of the room. Ciara raced over to the walls where the bookcases stood and ran her fingers across the binders of the hundreds of books. There could be every book just in these shelves. The fae woman looked back to him with a smirk.

"Its fantastic."
She declared.

She watched as he came back with thick earmuffs and it dawned on her. He was afraid. Or at the very least cautious. Ciara knew that her entrance was unorthadox as was her behavior. The fae woman thought for a moment, trying to think of a way to get him to trust her. Just saying she would be friends didn't seem strong enough. She needed something that would show him that no matter what, she could do him no harm.

"I promise that none of the magic woven into my songs will ever affect you." She swore, "You will only hear them as regular songs. That is a fae's oath."

As a fae, she couldn't break any of her promises, no matter what. The fae could only speak in truths and could never break oaths. If he knew that about the fae, he would know that her words were serious. Swearing to something was always dangerous, especially for the fae. There were dire consequences should the oath be broken, if that was even possible. Ciara was trusting a lot in this stranger, more so than she usually did. If he were to ever attack or go after her, the fae woman would be practically defenseless.

"Now where are we off to?" Ciara asked, "Does this actually fly? Or can the ship just do that vanishing act?"

She was eager to understand where she was. Her curiosity was a flame in her mind that needed more fuel.

Alignment: CG
Race: Novella
Gender: Male
Class:
Silver: 402
Killian watched her as she wandered around, checking out the control room. She looked at the books, studied the floor and generally looked quite impressed. It had been a while since someone new had come aboard the Hullaballoo, the reaction to his fantastic machine was one of his favourite things. It was pretty incredible.

As she started to answer him, he felt a sense of relief flow over him. He continued to adjust the instruments that controlled the flight. Still, he listened to every word she said. Eventually he turned to face her again. “I appreciate that Ciaria.” He answered plainly, his face the most serious looking since they had met. “And I understand what that oath means. My wife is of your kind. She’s around here somewhere – she’ll make herself known when she’s ready.” Luna was a silky, she was incredibly shy by nature and was able to move in a way that kept her completely hidden, even when she walked through town with him. Unless she wanted to be seen, you would not see her, it really was -that- simple. Fae magic.

He chose to answer her questions backwards. He was like that. “This ship does immeasurably more than just disappear, in here you are safe. Nothing can get through those doors.” The pride in his machine bordered actual on obsession. “Trust me, almost everything has tried.” It was a boast, but he did not care.

He clicked his fingers and the doors opened, revealing nothing but sky. “We started flying as soon as you closed the door. I wasn’t sure If I’d have to push you out.” Despite the fact he tried to make it sound like a joke, it had been his backup plan if this hadn’t gone well.

“Where do you want to go? What are you looking for? Excitement? Danger? Beauty? Truth?” Killian closed the door with another snap of his fingers.

After making that oath, she could see the shift in his behavior. He was relaxed and appeared to be less afraid. Then he mentioned something that drew her interest. He had a wife? Now she really wanted to meet this mysterious woman. Perhaps she would be more receptive to sweet nicknames. Then again, flirting with someone's wife usually didn't go well and she just set up a nice little friendship. She would simply have to flirt with one of the human women the next time she saw them.

"It is a relief you know about the fae and I can't wait to meet her when she feels comfortable presenting herself," Ciara said.

In a way Ciara understood. At the end of the day, Ciara was still a stranger that was invited for a trip. Fae knew to be wary of each other, that was just how things were. Killian told her that they were flying already. It was strange, in most airships, you could feel yourself lifting off the ground. He clicked his fingers again and she rushed to the door, seeing he was telling the truth.

"Good thing the fae are serious about promises." She said with a smile.

She rushed back towards the center of the control room and listened as he asked her where she wanted to go. Ciara paused a moment and began to think. Where DID she want to go? As a traveler, she had explored many places. Not all, but many. The ship itself was something new and fascinating, something they couldn't find in the rest of Revaliir. They could go anywhere… A smile appeared on her face as she thought of something.

"Show me something surprising. Something that I might have never seen before." Ciara said, "Make this trip something to remember. Make me remember this for years."

Technically he had already done that by opening his ship to her but she wouldn't admit that. Instead, she wanted to see what he could do. Her words were partially a request and partially a challenge. Traveling on her own had dulled her to the world and she desperately needed to see the world in a way she never did before. Too many times had her journey showed her the same thing. Ciara craved new adventures and new sights.
