For a few moments, Serafina looked disappointed as Xerxez's body remained lifeless beneath her - though her eyes lit up the moment his body started to violently convulse. If his body could withstand the convulsions and the spread of her venom throughout his veins, he would survive the change. Slowly but surely, his body relaxed, and soon she could see his chest rise and fall with a shallow breath, a choking cough coming from his lips. This was it - his life, his new life, was returning to his body. Within moments, his eyes shot open, and Serafina's blood covered lips smiled at him as she looked down at him.
When he spoke to her in his crude tone, questioning her of what had happened, what she had done to him, and what she was, her smile faded. She climbed off of him at that point, instead moving to lie on her side next to him, propping herself up on one arm. Her hand reached out to cover his as he touched the part of his throat from which she had fed. "Be mad all your want. That will heal completely in no time," she said in a soft voice, before further addressing what he asked.
"What did I do to you… I fed on you, and your blood was the most delicious blood I have ever tasted in my life," she said, licking her lips and tasting a bit of what remained. "You are still alive because I have given you a new life. You've been reborn… and now you're like me," she said rather simply. "In your past life, a werebear. Shifting, always on the full moon, maybe by choice," she said, revealing that she had figured that much out about him. "But now, you are something so much more," she continued. "You are Vaewolf," she said, pride audible in each syllable she spoke. "You are neither werewolf nor vampire, but a far superior hybrid of the two, just as I am," she added. "Your anger with me will subside when you let me show you the way of our world now," she said.
She brought a hand to the side of his face, touching him in a much more gentle manner than she had originally. "I am over two thousand years old," she said, her hand still resting on his cheek. "My sire… I have been at his side for all of my time as vaewolf," she said. "But the time has come where his priorities have shifted… and I've chosen you. I have never sired before," she added, the tone of her voice noting that this was a rather momentous occasion for her.
"Xerxez," she said, drawing out every syllable of his name as she spoke it. "Your life before, what did it consist of? Mercenary work, by the looks of you, maybe even killing for coin… but of course the loveless and endless line of fucking whore after whore every night, an empty promise," she began. As she spoke, she leaned towards him, her lips dipping towards his neck, shoulder, and collarbone where blood from her bite still remained. She gently lapped at the remnants, savoring the taste, while continuing to speak with him between such motions. "Your life now will be so much more… Oh, you'll still kill, you'll need to in order to survive… and of course, you'll still fuck," she continued, trailing off momentarily while she dragged her tongue over his collarbone, lapping up the remaining blood. "But every step of the way you will be by my side and I by yours," she added, gazing up at him from her lowered position. "We will shift together, hunt together, lie together… You will be the Beta to my Alpha," she said, the words giving way to the fact that this would be a great honor.
She pulled away from him and shifted herself upwards slightly, propping up halfway into a sitting position. "Unless you wish to venture into this newfound life on your own," she said simply, her lower lip pouting out ever so softly. "But I must promise you, your life will be something you have never dreamed of, should you choose to share it with me," she continued, and as she spoke she drew her hand to her own neck, puncturing a small hole in her own throat. A small trickle of blood came forth, and she tilted her head to one side. "Consider this your invitation," she said, clearly offering her neck to him. In vaewolf custom, a prodigy feeding from its sire would only strengthen their bond, but Serafina would not force her companionship on him.
