Life in the town of Kurayo was as normal as it could be. Angelique was like any of the different people here. Once a vampire then forced to be human again. She didn't feel like she had a place in the world anymore. As a vampire, she felt more grounded then being human. Being human even in the begninning, she never really felt complete. Some didn't believe her story till she told a vampire to taste her blood. He did, it was different. Almost sweeter then anything he had ever tasted. She had to punch him in the face to get him off. He had voiced that no human ever tasted as good as her. She had known that something was different about her blood. Tasteing it after cutting herself, even she could taste the sweetness, and see the color wasn't the same before, it was darker then normal red blood. Almost black.

Setting down a mug infront of an elf, she nodded and took his coin. Working at the Inn in Kurayo was sometimes crazy, but sometimes it was peachful. It all depended on how what time of day it was and what people's mood were. Walking back up to the bar, she set down her tray that was once full of drinks. Hopping up on the bar stoold, she laid her elbow on the bar and put her chin in her hand. She had gave everyone her drinks and food. Now it was time to wait for a new customer. It was close to closing time and she was getting tired. Nights here were the busyest. "Hey, Angelique." The barkeep said behind her as he set down a mug under the bar. "Why don't you go home, you look beat." With a nod, she stood up with a streach, the hem of her shirt rising slightly to show off her tan skin. A whistle arose from the crow, which made her roll her eyes.  "Here. You have a good night sleep, you hear!." Said the barkeep as he tossed her cloak to her. "Yeah, yeah." Angelique said with a smile and a wave. Throwing on her cloak, she walked out the wooden doors and onto the street.

The night had a chill to it, the moon covered by dark clouds, and the soft wind that blew made everything seem colder. Pulling her cloak close to her, she shivered. 'The cold never bothered me when I was a vampire.' She thought a bit annoyed, most of the time she wanted to be a vampire again. With a sigh, she hurried along the block. It was faster to take the alley, but not at this time of night. Too many vampire's lurked and other creatures. She rather stay alive. Taking a left, then a right. She was soon at her small home. One bedroom, single story. A little house with only a kitchen, small living room and a bedroom and bath. It wasn't much but it was something. Better then staying at the Inn like she did when she first arrived.

Dropping her cloak onto the chair at in the living room, she made her way to the bedroom and fell back onto the bed. Staring up at the ceiling, her mind was blank until the image of Reaver appeared in her mind, just like every night. She sighed and rolled over. A tear falling onto the bed sheets. She wanted to go back and try to find him, but she couldn't. She was human now. Healthy, but she didn't move as fast and didn't have her senses. And she couldn't risk dieing. It was greater now, human and all. Plus taking ships across seas she could almost die from the sickness that always speads. Like before. Thinking about the time on the ship here, she had gotten a horrible fever. Most had died, but she didn't. They're were times when she wanted to die. Then she had the thought of seeing Reaver again and it give her the will to stay alive.

If only she could see him again, tell him she loved him and not let him go again. Tell him how she got all her memories back of him. Rolling onto her back she closed her eyes, thinking about Reaver. Sleep soon took her and her dreams.

Waking the next day, she cleaned herself up and went back to work. It started out like any other. People of the Inn slowly started to leave. As they left she started to clean the rooms, Grabbing all the sheets and tossing them down to Ashley, another waitress there, then it was sweeping. With a sigh, Angelique stood up and looked over the nicely made bed. "What the hell happened to me." She whispered staring down at the bed infront of her. She used to travel all over, kill people for fun. Pushing back a blonde strand of hair, she sat down on the bed. "I used to be burnette." She said and floapped back on the bed. One day, she would be a vampire again. She could be now but she couldn't let just any vampire turn her, had to be someone she trusted. She wish she could see William again. Have her turn her again. Would he? Seeing the life she was living now, she didn't think he would. Wish a sigh, she sat up, she needed to get this room cleaned before people started to arrive to rent rooms or drink.

Today was just a normal day in Angeliques life and she didn't think it was going to change.

He had never stopped looking. Reaver couldn't have stopped looking once he and Angelique were separated by the realms themselves. He hadn't known if she had survived or not, but he believed deep down in his heart that she had. She was a survivor, above all else like he was and he promised himself that he wouldn't stop looking until he found the truth. Even when he came across this place, so much alike their home realm but differ as well. There was little clues here and there that he would follow about in Canelux, and each time ended in disappointment but it didn't hurt his resolve. She meant the entire world to him. It was with that he took up his old mantle as an assassin and did the jobs to build up enough money so that he could set sail for Parvpora such they not lead him to his love first. During the time, much had changed in his appearance. His dark hair was a few shades lighter and was cut much shorter than what he was used to, his eyes grew brighter and skin was much more tanner than it was, but pale enough for one notice what he was. Over time, he had visited a smith right before he set sail and had a necklace made for him using a blessed stone he had acquired. One that was specially designed to mimic the effects that Angelique's did and protect him from the sun's ray. Although where he was heading, Reaver likely wasn't going to need it at too much.
Figuring the city of Kurayo was a good place to start, he brought himself a trip over to it. It was a largely known trading city, and knowing that it would attract plenty of people there, he would at least hope to find more clues to her whereabouts. The trip took several days and nights, but before long he was there and immediately headed from the ports to town. Despite it being morning, the sky still looked as though it was the middle of the night, something that threw him for a loop at first but focused back onto the task at hand as he pushed himself through the crowds. Many different scents and smells from every which direction- vampire, drow, wolves, humans, elves and more. Such a diversity for a place that supposedly harbored the worse of the worse in the realm. While he saw no harm in this, it didn't help make his matter any easier. His green eyes soon met with one of the local taverns and decided to check it out. He asked the barkeep, some barmaids and even some of the patrons, and yet each answer left him less than satisfied. It wasn't until he was nearly out the door when someone called for him. “Hey fella, you looking for a ladyfriend, right? Might wanna try the inn up the street. Plenty of pretty little things usually stay there, be one of the safest places to keep them from the hounds.” Glancing towards the man's direction, he gave him a nod and left. True to his word, there was an inn nearby, Hopefully it would also be as he said and there would be some help to his search. Venturing inside, he immediately looked around, but saw no trace of her in the lobby or near the bar. Frowning at the turn of events, he checked in and took to the dinner hall. Getting himself situated, Reaver thought of where to go from here when he overheard some people. Particularly one that was boasting about something.

“I tell ya, that one woman's blood tasted scrumptious. She let me have some herself, and it was sweeter than any human's that I've tasted. Was claiming she was a vampire turned human. Don't know really if I believe but what else could it be?” While the vampire and his companions bickered over it, he stood from his chair and went towards them. “What is this? You say that there's a woman that claimed to be a vampire before?” Looking at Reaver curiously, the man slipped on his drink. “Perhaps. I dunno what it is to ya, but she's got some tasty blood in her. Would have drained her dry if she hadn't punch me squarely in the face. Don't know why she still has a job here, but tell ya what, next time I get a taste, I ain't stoppin'!” A cold stare was shot towards him before he snatched him from right out of his seat and brought him close against him. “Touch her and I'll end you”, he spoke plainly with a friendly smile. “I think you got off easy. If she's who I think she is, you could have ended up a lot worse for the wear.” The other two vampires stood up in protest but his eyes remained on the one in his grasp before dropping him onto the floor. As much as he was willing to kill, he wasn't going to cause problems here. Hell, he wasn't even sure if the woman was his Angelique or not.

Getting up from the bed, Angelique headed towards the window and opened it. It made a creaking noise but stayed up. Looking up at the sky, she wished she could feel the sun on her face. Maybe after she saved up a bit more, she could travel someplace else. She missed the sun and how it shinned brightly on her face, even as a vampire she could feel the warmth. It was different in this town, it was a never ending darkness. She wondered how it became like that, maybe a mage casted a spell on the town. That seemed most likely, with a shrug, she turned back around to face the room before her. It was her last room and she was taking her time with it. She wasn't ready to go down to the grumps below.  Laying her hand over the necklace around her neck, the stone only reminded her of the vampire she used to be and of William. She missed him dearly, she wasn't really one for emotions, but when it came to William, he had seen every emotion she had until she started to block them out. She would of beat the crap out of every man down in the Inn if it wasn't for the human body she had, and the feelings of guilt for wanting to hurt someone else, she still felt guilty for punching the man in the face. She was Human and she didn't like it. She wanted all thoes feelings gone, and pronto.

With a sigh, she grabbed the broom and started to sweep the wooden floor. Humming a soft tune as she did, she finished quickly. She needed to get back down there. Last room was done. Setting the boom and dustpan in the hallway, she walked over to the mirror in the room. Her blue eyes wasn't as vibrant as they used to be, her skin was tann now instead of pale. Her blonde hair was full and long, reaching to the end of her back. Undoing the red ribbon around her hair, it fell around her shoulders in waves. She missed how beautiful  and dangerious she used to look. This human look was not befitting. Running her fingers through her hair, she fluffed it out, the sweat making her hair stick to her scalp. With a shrug, she decided to leave it down for now and tied the red ribbon around her wrist in a bow.

Hearing a ruccus down the hall, she closed the door, grabbed the dustpan and broom and headed down the hall. "Ashley, whats going on?" She asked as she handed the items to the woman before her. "They are talking about you, and some guy got all upset, defending your honor. Thought you didn't know anyone on this Island?" She asked and Angelique shook her head. "I don't." She whispered, there was only one man who would act that way. Her heart fluttered and she grew nervious. It had been so long since she had seen Reaver. But what if it wasn't him and some guy she had served. She had to find out. "What does he look like?" Angelique asked her as she stared down the stairs. "Dark hair, green eyes —" She didn't even get to finish her sentence before Angelique hurried down the stairs. That was it. It was him. It had to be.

Angelique made a sudden stop and she had to stop herself from rushing towards him. Seeing only his back, the way he stood, the way he held himself, his voice was also the same. His hair was different though, shorter and a bit lighter then the last time she saw him. "If only I was a vampire again, You'll be dead." She voiced and the man looked over at her. "Your blood is mine." He said with a smirk. One vampire headed towards her, the other tired to help his boss. "Oh Sh*t." She whispered and grabbed the broom from her friend behind her. She knew he was going to use his vampire speed to get her. Moving to the side before he got to her. She wacked his head with the bristle part of the broom then dropped it as soon as he grapped it. Jumping over the bar, she grabbed a knife, but before she had time to turn to stab him, he was on her already, sending her flying to the other side of the bar. The pain of the wooden bar hitting her back made a scream errupt inside her. Bitting her lip, she wouldn't let it out.

"Stupid human, B*tch." The vampire said as he grabbed her by the throat and pushed her against the bar. More pain. More agonizing pain. The look of shock appeared on his face as he bursted into flames and was kicked back. The knife protruding from his chest. "Stupid… Vampire…" She whispered wish a smirk as he turned into a pile of blood and skin  by her feet.

Her eyes soon traveled to Reaver, his green eyes. "Reaver…" She whispered. His face was the last she saw before darkness overtook her.

He hadn't planned on causing a ruckus, but as it all played out, Reaver could overhear people whispering among themselves from the other tables and the bar. It set off a mental groan in him before he eyed the other vampire getting back up to his feet. His buddies came around the table to stand on either side of him; ready and willing for a fight if one did break out. Three against one didn't seem quite fair, but he had dealt with far worse over his years, and they all seemed wet behind the ears. Considering whether or not to just take this to the streets and just rough them up a bit just to prove a point, a voice drew him. One that he had been praying to here for some time now. Turning his head, he saw the blonde woman, one whose eyes were as blue as the calm oceans themselves. It was as though he had last saw her just yesterday. And if he had any more doubt that it was Angelique, it was shredded by what she had said. If the situation wasn't as serious as it was now, he would have humored her about it. Instead, the lead vampire quickly passed him by and was heading straight for her.

Cursing beneath his breath, Reaver sought to cut him off at the pass, but the two goons caught up with him. Their hands clamp around him to keep him where he was while Angelique fought off the vampire. “Damn it all", he swore before he tossed the man on his right side onto the table, the force was strong enough to break it into two. With his arm free, he elbowed the other squarely in the face and before he could go assist her, a hand tightly gripped at his leg. His hand shot out for the man's throat and rose him back to his feet before throwing him to the wall closest to them and then found a fist coming down to him, connecting with his jaw. While it only stung him, the gesture alone was enough to turn his eyes to black, anger stirred within him and came out as he kicked him to the ground and then picked up a piece of the table and swung it against the side of his head. It rendered him unconscious and by the time his attention turned back to Angelique, He saw nothing but her and what remained of the vampire. Unfortunately she was injured during the ordeal and he rushed over to her side.

"Angelique…"

His arms draped around her and brought her up close enough for him to press his lips against her forehead. "I'm here, darling." A group of patrons formed around them as he carefully picked her up and the other waitress arrived. "Come with me upstairs. You can put her on one of the beds up there." Quickly nodding, he followed her up to the next floor and rushed into one of the first rooms unoccupied. Carefully settling her down onto the bed, Reaver sat right beside her and held her hand. “I figure that since you seem to know her, you can look after her while I go get a healer”, she said before running off. Her words didn't fall on deaf ears, though his attention was completely on the the blonde woman, cradling her hand with his. For so long had he been out there, looking frantically and hoping that she was alright. Before all this, it appeared that she was but now he was unsure of what was to come. Had she remembered him fully now, or was she still at war with her memory?

Angelique didn't wake, her darkness soon faded into memories of her old life. Memories of who she used to be before she had met the man she had just seen just moments before.  First it was flashes, then it was a long scene.

William stood before, his blond hair seemed to glow in the moon light. It was almost real. His hand was on her shoulder. “Always stop before the heart stops.” He said softly and pulled her away gently. “He would take you with him if you don't stop.” With a sigh, Angelique drop the body onto the ground. His heart slowed and then stopped. Her new ears were still fascinating to her. It was like she had brand new ears. She could hear the horses running down the road a few miles away, their riders quick breaths as they rode.  She felt like a different person again, even her mind was different, all she thought about was blood. “I want more…” She said licking her lips as she looked down at the dead man at her feet.

“Not now…We wait. You need not rely on blood. Did you eat every second of the day when you were human?” He asked her taking his hand from her shoulder. “No..” She said looking over at him. “But–” She started but he held up his hand to stop her. “Wait.” He said and turned away. “Lets go.. Soon it will be light and you do not have a enchanted stone.”

It had only been a few hours since she had killed her father, but she was still hungry for more blood. At that moment, she didn't care he was gone, that she killed him. She only cared for blood and how lovely it tasted. She wanted more, but she had to wait.

Soon they reached the graveyard and were standing in front of a enclosed crypt. “Oh hell no.” She said and started to turn and walk away. Grabbing her, he pushed her up against the doorway of the crypt. “Hey! Let go of me.” She tried to push away from him but he was too strong. His forearm pushed against her chest and he didn't say a word. Grabbing her wrist, he stuck it out to the side. The sun soon started to rise up from the sky, warming the area around them. Then her hand. Her hand felt like it was on fire. She screamed but he held it there. “This is what happens when you are out in the sun.” Flames started to raise up from her hand. She screamed again. “Stop it!” And he did, pushing her into the door of the crypt, he shut the door behind them.

Snatching up the bottom of her cloak, he wrapped it around her hand, the flames extinguished. Pulling her hand away from him, she dropped to the floor and pushed her self back to the tall crypt behind her.  “Why! Why did you do that!” She said and started to cry. Her hand was blistered and was in pain. He looked down at her with hard eyes. “This is the only place for miles. If we didn't stay here, where else would we stay? The inn down the road, a barn? We would not have made it and we would have been stuck out in the sun. I do things to show you. To take care of you. If we were out in the open, you would have died.” She didn't want to look at him, red tears fell slowly down her cheeks.

The sound of him moving made her look up at him. He was kneeling in front of her. His hands cupping her cheeks and wiping away the blood. “The pain will be gone by the time you wake.” He said softly. Laying her down on the stone floor, he moved a strand of hair behind her ear. “Sleep child.”He whispered and her eyes soon shut. Darkness taking her.

'Reaver…' She thought in her mind after the dream. She wasn't awake yet. Her body wouldn't let her wake just yet. His face came into her mind… then the day they met became real as then.

Heaven only knew that he was blaming himself over all this. For Angelique having lost her memory after they parted. For losing her to this new world for countless months. And now, for bring this trouble to her and leaving her in this state. He shouldn't had let his temper take reign of him downstairs. Reaver had always been in control of himself for most of his life, even during the painful moments of watching his last love and his child perishing. It griped at his heart tightly, but he forced himself to not lose control and destroy everything around him. Such feelings had not come to him ever since, at least not until he met Angelique and grew closer to her through their encounters. He wondered however, if he had caused her more harm than good. Had she never met him, would she be suffering like this? He couldn't help but to question his resolve, that he wasn't able to protect her from all this and now what would happen to her? Sitting beside her, he watched on quietly, counting the minutes until her co-worker arrived with the healer. Would it be enough though? She sustained a great deal of injury during that fight against that oaf, and it was hard to tell whether she would recover or not.

Had she still been a vampire, then he would have nothing to worry about. Her healing properties would healed her up right quick. His head hung low and his finger glided themselves through the thick black hair and gripped onto it. He couldn't lose her, not like he had Emilia.

Not like this.

"Dammit, Angelique…you have to get through this. You are stronger than this", he said beneath his breath just before glancing up at her again. Still, she wasn't responsive and it only caused for Reaver to stand up and start pacing about the room. More and more he was getting desperate and wanting the girl to return as soon as possible. It seemed like forever before he heard the door pushed opened and the young lady came back with a local healer behind her. "Has she woken up", she asked, glancing over to Angelique. He only responded with a shake of his head before watching the healer come over towards her. With a wave of her hand over her body, she felt her aura and signs of injury before she started to focus healing magic to help her recover. "She had been through so much in such a short time. Yet, the woman may recover physically, though she is still unconscious. I will not be able to tell how she fares until she awakens." Without a word, he looked towards the bed and then went over to the window and leaned against the sill.

"I don't know the situation between you…", the waitress started as she took a few steps closer to the vampire. "But once she heard that someone was here for her, well you I mean, she went to find you without a second thought. Never saw her that excited ever since I've known her. You must be very important to her." A deep sigh was cast from his lips, "And she is to me as well. I hadn't seen her for a long while. We had been separated and I've been looking for her ever since." Turning his head towards her and the healer as the process continued on, Reaver looked to the waitress, "Thank you for being with her and getting the healer here. You are deeply in my debt."

Angelique heard footsteps around her, voices. Soft voices. Reavers. She wanted to open her eyes but darkness took her again. It wasn't like before. She knew part of the memory that she dreamed about. This one was unknown to her but it felt familiar.

Her vision was blurred for a few moments. Until she lead a stranger out of a tavern. Tall, dark, and handsome. And stupid and drunk. Just how she liked them. He didn't resist as she lead him to the alley beside the tavern. She felt her mouth move, but she couldn't hear anything. A smirk, then teeth, then she was drinking the blood of the man that had followed her. He didn't move till she was finished. More words, then he left. Licking her lips, she turned to start to walk away. Then pain. Searing pain. Then another. Looking down, two arrows had hit her.

Her heart began to race and she moaned a few times in her sleep. Her head turning one side to another.

Another arrow. A soft voice in her head. “You have committed the crime of murder. You are sentence to death but you are given a second chance.” Another arrow in her chest, she couldn't move. Couldn't fight back against this woman. Falling back on the damp ground. Her sight was taken from her. Soon she was staring at herself in the mirror. Tears running down her face. She was human. “Who am I?” She screamed at the mirror. Looking around, she was alone. No one but a note to tell her, her fate. Throwing it to the ground, she punched the mirror in front of her. “Who am I??” She whispered as the shattered glass fell at her feet.

Shooting up in bed. Pain shot through her back and she let out a grown. Falling back, tears ran down the side of her face. She now remembered what had happened to her. All she knew it was a woman. No face. Not even a hint of clothing showed in the darkness. Just arrows that seemed to appear out of no where. She wanted revenge, but how could she get revenge on someone who was just taking someone else's revenge. She remembered now. The murders in a town when there was a curse on curtain people.

Jumping out of bed, through the pain, she ran into the bathroom and slammed the door behind her. She knew Reaver was there. She didn't want him to see her this way. Everything was so intense, the guilt, the pain she caused people, she actually cared. She couldn't push these feelings away like when she was a vampire. She had murdered people. A father, a mother. And a few random people. Just because they threatened their children. They were not like her father. Her father was cruel and a murder. Wiping her tears away, she took a few deep breaths.

“I know why I was changed…..” She whispered, she knew he could hear her. Vampire hearing was always the best. Closing her eyes she wiped another tear that fell. “I was originally sentenced to death…. Something happened and I was turned human. So they gave me a second chance….” She held back her tears and stood up, walking over to the mirror. Her eyes looking at herself in the mirror. Her eyes red ringed and tired. “I remembered….all the people I killed. That stupid curse…” She leaned against the counter and her head fell. “I… I feel like I should be dead for everything I have done…” But part of her wanted to be alive. For him.

Walking over to the door, she slowly opened it. Her eyes filled with tears. She hoped he was there, and that she wasn't talking to herself. That would of sucked. She wanted to fall into his arms and never leave.

The wait was slowly and softly killing Reaver. Her body would recover from the blows, but even the healer was unsure whether or not Angelique would wake up soon, if at all. The usual calmness in his demeanor was overweight the burden he kept inside. He shouldn't have left her side in the first place and should have refused to let her go by herself to make amends. If he had been there, then surely she would have been okay, wouldn't she? He stood there, hopefully watching her motionless body as the healer kept at work. The other waitress looked towards him and then Angelique before quietly excusing herself; there was still business to attend to downstairs and everything looked to be in safe hands here. It was a few moments before the healer was finished and made her own way out.

"I shall be downstairs. Let me know if anything else happens, sir."

A quick nod was given to her before she passed through the doorway and Reaver kneeled down right beside her and squeezed her hand. When she started to moan, he could do nothing more than just watch and hope for the best. That she would wake up and everything would be fine, and they would then go from there.

It seemed like an eternity, listening to nothing more than silence, other than the few moans Angelique produced before he was caught off guard with her awakening. Wide eyes stared in confusion as her grew with tears. What was going on? “Angel…, he started to say as she fled to the bathroom, leaving him even more bewildered about the recent moments. Rising back up to his feet, he went to move towards the door and knock, but he froze just as his hand was about to hit it. Something was wrong, and he didn’t know what it was or how to deal with it. Ever since he knew her, Angelique was one that kept her feelings to herself for the most part, unless a situation forced her to face them. Lowering his closed hand, he took a few steps back, to give her some space. There were a few bits and pieces he could overhear, but what he had picked up still had some holes that needed filling. He returned to the bed to sit, he would have to give her time before she was willing to share it with him, if ever. The last time he had tried to pry information from her, it hadn’t ended pretty and it nearly drove them apart. Reaver damn sure didn’t want that to happen again.

As the door opened up, he glanced up and stood. He could see the pain in her eyes, of how heavy her heart must have been right at that moment. From the sound of it, she regained her memory, but it was a bittersweet situation for her. He blinked at her, unable to speak for a moment as he gathered his thoughts.

“Don’t wish that upon yourself”, he said bluntly and took a step forward. “You don’t deserve to die. We have all made mistakes and stupid choices in our past. And that’s where it’s suppose stay, in the past.” Another step taken. “I don’t care what you had done, I never did. What matters is what you plan on doing now and in the future. Learn from what you have done and do what you need to do to find peace within yourself.” His tone was stern but his own eyes were soft on her, “Don’t make waste of this second chance, I can’t afford to lose you again, Angelique. Never again.” Reaver didn’t have a clue on whether or not she would return his feelings once again, but regardless he didn’t want her to die after everything they been through.

Staring at Reaver after opening the door, Angelique didn't know what was going to happen. Would he leave seeing her in tears? Would he call her pathetic and tell her to suck it up? It wasn't he spoke she knew she should never doubt him. He cared for her and would never say or do such things. His words made her tears stop from falling. If he could be there at her worst, he would be there always for her. Her eyes stared into his, he had always been there, until she ran. But he never stopped looking for her. Now he was there, in front of her. Her memories back, her past, to how they met. Having her memories be taken from her, was the worst thing that would happen to her. Now having them back, she would cherish them always and cherish him.

Angelique's eyes looked away from him and to the ground. How could she want to die? That wasn't like her. She just wanted to be normal again. A vampire who could choose what feelings to feel and what to not. She wanted to be herself again. With a sigh, she couldn't think that again. She wouldn't.

His last of his words made her head rise and her thoughts disappeared. She looked him in the eyes, his caring eyes that wasn't showing how stern his words were. Throwing her arms around him, she laid her head on his chest. There was silence for a few moments, her tears had dried and she took a deep breath and spoke into his chest. ”I felt lost without you…Now that your here, I feel like my self again. I don't ever want to be apart from you again…..” Angelique paused for a moment and pulled away from him to look into his eyes. “I love you, Reaver. I've loved you since I first met you. I don't think I could ever stop loving you. Whether I'm a vampire or even a human without any memories of you. I'll always feel drawn to you. No matter what.” She didn't look away from him. She wanted him to know how she felt. She didn't want to be parted from him again. This is where she belonged. In his arms. With him.

It had never mattered to him of who she had killed or for what purposes she had done things. In reality he couldn’t speak against it for he had done many things he had regretted later. He had done it for the sake of family and he had done it over and over again for that reason. If he had ever killed in anger, it was few and far but it still happened. His hands were just as stained with blood as hers, his heart could have been as dark as hers could have been. Still, he didn’t care for she was the only person in the entire world he cared for. Let the rest of the world burn as long as he was with her.

She may have changed but she was still the woman he fell for, who he fought with and against and who was the one that understood him. He’d like to think that fate was what drew them in together and there was purpose behind it. Reaver couldn’t read her mind, never could do so but damned if he didn’t want to at that moment she opened the door. It didn’t take long after before Angelique came towards him and melted in his embracing arms. No words were needed, they were at that point of understanding the other without having to say a thing. “I know. I was lost too. You are my guiding light through the darkness”, he muttered, kissing the top of her head as his hand stroke the back of it. He couldn’t remember the last time she had spoken those four words he’s being dying to hear again, but it still felt like the first time to him.

“And I love you, Angelique. Never have stopped, and never will.” He knew of those that had abandoned her from her past, and he wouldn’t be added to that list. He couldn’t break her heart again, not when she had willingly gave it to him after the pain and suffering this strong woman endured throughout her life. “I don’t care whether you are human or vampire, I will love you just the same.” It was the truth, he just wanted to be with her now. In this strange land, she was all that he had left that mattered. He nuzzled her gently and breathed in deeply. Time felt like it stood still while he held onto her. Like nothing else mattered. He knew she was hurt, but fortunately she was strong, one of the traits he loved about her. He saw it especially when she was human before and despite her not having the strength she had when she had been turned, she was still resilient as always.

We can’t waste this second chance”, he corrected his previous statement before he moved a hand beneath her chin to tilt her face up so he could kiss her lips.
