Johann ran, Johann ran as fast as his legs would allow him to run. He was forcing his body to it's very limits but he didn't feel it. He felt not the pain nor the exhaustion that were creeping upon him. All he felt was fear. Fear of a man on the run, an prey animal being chased by an predator. The feeling of being hunted down. As the man ran ever onwards, he thought to himself or rather he belittled himself in his thoughts for finding himself within this situation. It was his lack of caution that managed to get an quite sizeable Adelunan patrol gunning for him right this momment. If he just said only his first name he wouldn't have been in this mess! But alas he did introduced himself as Johann Helmut-Ribentrop von Blackwald………at the very least he now verified what his mother told him all those years ago, his family and he, were not welcome within Adeluna, quite the opposite realy.
The Mercenary had run for gods know how long at this point. The pain from his muscles and exghaustion finnaly got him and he had to stop. As he did so he looked around to get the idea where he is, which was somewhat difficult due to a thick fog that suorrounded him. He could barely see a meter past it, not to mention getting any accurate idea where he was about now. At the very least he managed to spot a place where he could rest for the night, as nightfall had already come quite some time ago. It was some sort of corner piece of an building that had withered away a long time ago, the only surviving element realy. It was made of stone and despite age, looke fairly solid. While it didn't afford any cover from rain or anything like that, it would at the very least let him rest his back against it and doze off in relative comfort. Plus, he thought to himself, there isn't much to worry about right now, sky looks clear and he surely had lost the patrol in the mist. There was nothing left for him other then just sit down in the corner, rest himself against it and sleep. Which he did, fairly quickly.
What the man didn't know was that he was being watched by some creatures, creatures that if not strictly malicious, were not realy happy that he was here. They would set out in the night and plan their little scheme. Preparing illusions and charms to misdirect this human, when the dawn comes.

The morning had come, the sune arose above the horizon, and as the rays of sunshine fell upon Johann's face, he started to wake up. First thing he did as he got unto his feet he streched out a bit and looked around.
- Hmh this fog is realy persistent - he commented - Oh well at least it isn't that thick anymore, I am sure I will be able to get to the border from here in no time. I do not fancy idea of staying in Adeluna for that much longer - he finnished and turned towards the direction from whence he came from and started moving. But, as he did so, he found that fog was beginning to thicken. So much so that that he could barely see his arms if he was to outstretch them in front of himself. Nonthenless he pressed forwards, no mere fog would stop him from escaping to the north. Thankfully the mist seemed to thin out as he moved, a good sign he thought, that was untill he started to notice strange things. Namely the path was looking very familiar, which is somewhat understandable since it is the same path he took to get to the ruins but…..but the details seemed off. It looked like he was actually returning to those ruins. Which seemed odd since he remembered that he was moving in the opposite direction. His worries were realized when ha managed to come back to the stone corner where he had slept through the previous night.
- Sheisse - he muttered under his nose, steading himself for one of those days.
