Johan Helmut-Ribentrop von Blackwald is son of one Selene von Blackwald(Formerly von Ribentrop before mariage), an failry well respected woman of the Adelunan court and Henry von Blackwald a member of an well renowned family with a long history and military tradition. However from those two Johan only knew his mother as his father was very much so absent from his life, this was due to connection he had with old royal family, before the coming of the Queen Qendresa. Namely his father was an Officer in Imperial Army of Adeluna, he was an loyal retainer to the then ruling royal family, serving it dutifuly. He took part in many a battles in the name of the old monarch, led his men at the front and won many a battle. Despite that his Empire and the family he fought for started to shrivel up. First the nations of the north pushed them back, puting stop the their incursions from land, then they tried to get to Sularia by sea but Armada dispersed along the way, finnaly Qendresa returned, allies in tow. Thus begun the Civil War, through which entirety, Henry stood by his King, untill the very bitter end. King was dead, executed by hands of the new Queen and with it new Dynasty had sat upon the Throne and wore the Crown, new Dynasty which had to do some house cleaning. Those who stood with old King were tried, many were condemned to death, many more still were stripped from their noble titles and exiled under the pain of death if they returned. Among the people who found themselves in latter category, was Henry and his family. Stripped of rank, title and fortune von Blackwald took his wife and unborn at the time Johan, in care of an family friend in Egjora, after which he vanished, without a trace. 9 Months later his son would be born in a foreign land, without a father.

Thankfuly for Johan, he and his mother were the guests of honor, treated fairly by their hosts and allowed to enjoy any luxuries they could afford. Young heir to Blackwald name was educated alongside the other children of the house, he was trained in all manners of martial skills from sword figthing to horse riding, taught the mathematics,economics,biology and many other subjects. For a while it would appear that he would just be another noble, maybe not in his house but he seemed to integrate well into local customs, that was untill one rather ill-fated year. When he was 18, Johan's mother passed away due to illness, which would be rather bad in and of itself but the month after that Lord of the House was assasinated and his brother took that place. Then, overnight the house which was friendly became very un-friendly as the new lord was very much so a supporter of the new Queen and didn't like having the son of one of the William's loyalists in his midst. So Johan, while he was still grieving, was kicked out to the streets with just clothes on his back.

This happened 12 years ago, during which Johan changed much, from an somewhat idealistic person who seemed to see good everywhere he became an pragmatist, mostly concerned with his own survival and not many things else. Thankfuly before he could truly fell even more into a positon of an common thug, young von Blackwald found himself in an near death-scenario from which he was saved by an conveniently placed cave. There he found small gravestone craved out of rough rock which read "Here lies Henry von Blackwood, commander and father of his men". This find led Johan to regain the curiosity about his family he lost when he was kicked out to the streets. He is now on a quest of sorts, to find as much as he can about his father and reasons as to why he was buried in a cave.
