Luna chuckled at him. “I sleep just to get energy but most of the time I’m awake.” Luna sat on coat with him. She could hear him breathing being this close but it didn’t bother her if anything she quite liked him in an odd way. Soon Luna was watching him create tiny balls of light and she was enthralled by it as she laid against the coat next to him to observe their lights. Turning her head Luna let her moonstone like eyes watch him with interest now as he spoke about his people.

“Sometimes that’s all we can do is run away. Even if we are strong enough to fight it… Maybe it isn’t the time or the place so we run. Not just from enemies though but pasts and memories… It’s a very mortal thing to do… As Angela would say.” She chuckled a bit more. The silky’s attention moved to the puff of smoke as it animated and she chuckled as she thought about the answer to his question. “To be honest? I was scared…” Her face turned so she could look at him with her full undivided attention. “I’ve not spoke to another person in centuries. Solitude was my biggest castle of protection.”

For a moment, it looked like the silky was hesitating but soon she held up her arms and showed him her wrists. Grizzly scars were cut into the wrists. “I was told by Angela that these were how I died the first time. I died because I got close to someone and followed them because I was worried… It terrifies me but also at the same time I guess I shouldn’t lock myself into a box of misery. I’ve enjoyed the time you’ve showed me. You are teaching me how to live again even during this short time. So… I guess I like being on your ship and I guess the reason why she did it was so I had someone to relate to for better or worse.”

There was a gentle smile on her face as she felt her cheeks flush once more. Her hand reached for his and she held it lightly. Turning her eyes from him she started to watch the lights once more. “I’m certainly enjoying myself for the first time I can recall…” Luna closed her eyes and thought about everything. “You know that there’s lots that I haven’t seen… or if I have I can’t really remember it. I wouldn’t mind seeing everything with you.” She caught what she said and felt her heart beat a little harder. “If you want to that is.”

Killian

Character Info
Name: Killian
Age: Something ridiculous
Alignment: CG
Race: Novella
Gender: Male
Class:
Silver: 402
“I understand the fear. It is comfortable and safe. I do it. “ Killian admitted. “You were the first person I had spoken to in the last two hundred and twenty five years. Before I found a way here, I’d been sulking about in the Hullaballoo on my own.” Killian took another drag on the pipe and closed his eyes as he exhaled another intricate dove born entirely of smoke. It flew to the first and together the danced around the light.

Killian’s sapphire eyes were wide open when Luna showed him her scars, he listened quietly while she explained how she had died the first time. A knot tightened in her stomach as she uttered words that haunted his conscience. They follow you to their deaths! All of them! You flash those stupid eyes and they do anything! At least I am honest about what I do Killian. It was something he had always suspected, but when he confronted his brother those where among his last words. It had haunted him ever since; such a scathing and accurate assessment form the last person like him. Killian had been forced to kill him to save the life of his first and now deceased wife. Today wasn’t the day for that story though, for now he was getting to know Luna – and she who he was not who he used to be.

Luna continued, the knot in his stomach loosened. (Something that didn’t go unnoticed by him. Killian had developed a soft spot for her the moment he saw her in his ship.) “Don’t underestimate yourself Luna, you are teaching me as well. I like having you around.” He watched her face flush red and felt his do the same. As her moonstone eyes met hers, he didn’t think. Didn’t hesitate. In a move uncharacteristically smooth for him, he just closed his eyes and kissed her gently. “Sounds good to me.” He said, a daft grin spread across his face as it started to dawn on him that this might have been his old friends plan all along.

He didn’t mind.

In fact, well done Angelia.

(She learnt from the best.)
