"How long has it been since you've actually drank?" Lirin knew she hit a sore subject by the momentary flash across Celeste's face, and instantly regretted it. "That bad, huh? Don't say anything. I understand." The meal cooked and being consumed, the girls watched Larka pulled out the wine. Celeste did not bother offering the single armed woman if she needed help, and Lirin assumed it had something to do with Larka's independence. By not offering, Celeste was acknowledging Larka's strength, or some sappy love stuff. Honestly, Lirin was kind of jealous of her sister for having found a love such as Larka.
Each twin accepted their glass with a returned smile and a whispered thanks. The vampire nodded her head low to the toast to her, and listened to Larka's words to Celeste. She was tearing up, proving to be more emotionally unstable than she had ever been. Poor Celeste still had a very long road to full recovery, and Lirin idly wondered if she would ever fully recover. At the end of it, Lirin smiled at the loving couple. "Larka, I am pleased to have met you, and I will always be grateful for the protection and love you have shown for her when I could not. While life-boons generally require you saving my life, I owe you such a boon for protecting that which has always made me whole. Celeste, lethalin… Congratulations on a life that we have dreamed of since we were young. A loving spouse, a wonderful child, and a honest set place in the world. We have both escaped the oppressive thumb of our family, and enjoy our freedom. Happy birthday, sister."
By now, Celeste was balling, barely able to keep the wine from spilling from her glass. Quickly, Lirin downed the wine and went to pull her sister in a tight hug. Larka was there as well, smothering the emotional elf with love and affection. "I brought you something. Would you like to see it?" Celeste sniffed and nodded. She retreated to her bags and pulled out a wrapped gift. Handing it to Celeste, she eagerly watched her sister. Systematically, the wife began unwrapping the gift, almost afraid to reveal any single part of it, rather wishing to see it as a whole without ripping the wrapping. Underneath all the wrap was a new quiver. The leather was supple, with metallic, and quite intricate designs of elvish ivy swirling all over. In the center were the elvish runes for each of the elements.
Magic hummed under her fingertips as her hand gingerly traced the ivy. "It's gorgeous. Ma seranas." From out of her pocket, Celeste pulled out her own gift for Lirin, neatly wrapped as well. Handing it to the vampire, she watched as Lirin unfolded the paper to reveal a pair of bats. The first hung upside-down from the necklace, the other held the clawed wings of the first, with a ruby in the center. "It's enchanted to create several bats to be your eyes and ears from a distance. See, I have an identical one as well." "It's perfect. Thank you, I'm sure it will come to use in the future."
They chatted for a spell, and drank plenty more. Celeste was completely drunk now, yet it was still unnoticeable in many ways. Unlike most, the twins never slurred their words until they were close to passing out from too much drink. Holding their head steady all the time was a different story, and more noticeable than if they had tried to walk. With their grace, they'd only stumble half as much as the average drunk. "Oh, Celeste, your lips are akin to cherry blossoms. So perfect, so supple." Lirin giggled. "If you like them so much, why don't you kiss them?"
And thus, they have traveled back in time with Larka. Carefree, drunk, and in each others arms, kissing each other ever so softly. Lirin moaned and pressed deeper, one hand reaching up to massage a breast, the other pulling Celeste closer. Yet, as most would disapprove of incest, Celeste had her fingers entwined in her sister's hair, and the other caressing as it roamed.
