Dala watched as Cao lifted the chest up with magic and they walked over to the orphanage. It seemed that this would be the last time she really got to see Cao Lixue. But something inside her made her believe that they would see each other again. A long time would pass but she knew the world enough to understand that the past always came back in unpredictable ways. Reaching into her bag, she pulled out a clay ornament. The clay ornament was a star with Cao's name on it. She handed it to Cao with a small smile. 

"You make a point. But take this." The child said, "One day we will see each other again. And on that day, I promise that you'll see me helping people."

It seemed this is where her journey with Cao ended and a new one was about to begin. Her friends rushed to greet her and she turned to them, embracing each one. A smile was on her face. She finally had enough resources to help them. To save them. There was enough strength in her body, heart, mind and soul to find a way for these kids. Not just these kids. But all the millions of children who were abandoned and forgotten. This was a small step but it showed her that she was able to do this.

The first order of business was getting all her friends apprenticeships or some form of education. That education would lead to their jobs and make them able to stand on their own. Then there was the orphanage itself that could use more funding. And on top of all of that she would have to save some of that coin in order to start building the village she planned. It would take time and effort but she knew that they could do it. Turning back to Cao, she watched the teacher and wondered where the woman would be off to. Probably on some big adventure. She was a strong woman after all. The child returned to Cao for one more thing. 

"Thank you miss cao." Dala said with a small smile.
