There was a small groan from Nui as Kite told her the mouthy kid wasn't as ignorant as she'd hoped he'd be. This 'Grandpa Garland' was turning out to be a pretty awful influence. Her eyes went wide as she was escorted for the first time in her life. "Y-yes!" When he took her arm, she was hoping her grip on his wasn't too tight. The fox wasn't sure how much more she could take of this, her head was practically spinning! Not because she wasn't happy, but because…it seemed just like how she had hoped a date to be. Everything in Arri was so pretty, and she tried not to dawdle too long admiring the restaurant's exterior and the carriages outside. Following his lead, she was walking on clouds until they got to their reserved seats in a private balcony. Nui listened intently as Kite told her about Sularia and Arri itself. The fact different parts of the city were separated visually was something she hadn't heard of before, but it did make travelling easier. Much better than trying to navigate the tangle of roads in the Spirit Realm or the small streets of Nisshoki.

When the waiter came by, what she overheard made all the fur on her tails and ears stand on end. It took a very long time for it to register, but when it did–immediately she went into a panic. Prince Kite? Wait, what?! She knew Sparrow said his mom was the best fighter in their kingdom, but if the boy sitting right across from her was a prince then that would mean–that would mean she was set up on a date with royalty! Her shock must've been written all over her face, as he tried to explain. His grandma–Lady Toya–was a queen and also like a very important general. The Empress was the ruler over the entire kingdom, making the queens a rank below. That meant Sparrow was also a prince, and then that–and this… Metaphorically, smoke was coming out of her ears as her face went through a few shades of red. "No she didn't…I guess she didn't want to…though?" There were so many revelations coming in that she was trying to keep her head above them all while still managing to make sense whenever she opened her mouth. That strawberry wine would be great right about now. They hadn't even ordered anything yet but she grabbed a glass of water and downed half. "Uh…um. This is a lot to take in…"

Shoving that aside for the time being, she told herself to focus on the date. She didn't want to embarrass Kite, especially since his grandma had went through all that effort. "S-so is it true that there are more girls than boys in Arri? I heard some stuff from a friend of a friend who visits here often, and it sounds like Arri is very different from most other places like Nisshoki and Adeluna." Culturally speaking, women were more visible in all sorts of occupations here than anywhere else. And there wasn't much mention of the men from the snippets she had heard of Arriese society. The closest thing she'd seen to it would probably Rashomaru's family in Kujishoku. But from what she had read about other countries and kingdoms, that sort of thing wasn't the norm. She had to think up of some better opening topics before she began asking more about him and his family.
