The last thing Nemesis wanted to do was to grow fat and lazily much like those he despised. It had been something that he raked his mind over the last few days as he sat in the quiet and still manor with the Bastion. The family was scattered, tending to their own affairs and with each second, he felt the irritation with each time his slender fingers drummed in rhythm against the smooth armrest of his chair. But what sparked this, of all times? He was unsure for the longest time and he sucked in his teeth whenever his mind reached a dead end.

Perhaps it was time to proactive and seek out what it was that made him this unease, this vulnerable. Nemesis took on a deep breath before rising up and slipping into a black coat with silver trimmings, carrying only a small dagger with him. His sword would not be needed where he was going- those that he would cross this eve didn’t deserve to perish by such a blade.

Their honor would be that he would snuff out their lives in a more intimate manner.

There was a place in mind to spend his evening; Egjora was the perfect hunting ground for him to indulge some of his darkest desires. Nothing there but powerful, greedy little humans that believe coin was the beginning and the end. Nothing else mattered to them aside from seeking out their next piece of gold and silver. The vaewolf smiled as he arrived at the crowded city though he was generally surprised by the number of people out and about in this hour. His head tilted slightly to the left as he watched some of them dance about on the streets; others were feasting and taking in prayers and other typical things one would gather from a celebration. He imagined that they were gathered for the coming of the Glaciem season, or perhaps an Egjorian holiday was taking place. The reason for it didn’t matter to the likes of him though and that’s when he felt it.

An impulse, faint at first, started to fester vigorously within his core in a matter of seconds. His head went the other direction the longer he witnessed those happy little people, too distracted in their amusement. His right hand felt for the cold embrace of the dagger that slept in his pocket, fingertips softly caressing the sharp steel. Slowly he took a step forward, feeling the urge sparking as eyes fell upon a strong-bodied youth, probably seen a few seasons into his manhood. He busied himself dancing with a woman he was courting, unaware of the predator that took another step forward. Nemesis followed up with withdrawing the dagger and once his descent led him behind the youth, he shot his hand out to snatch him by the back of his neck and in a clean and fluid motion, he sliced his throat open with the blade. Such a beautiful, fleeting sound it made against his flesh and he felt the immediate struggle of his quarry as it instinctively sought to fight back. The only other sound he craved was the melody that was the woman’s screams as it was drowned out by the blaring music that captivated the rest of the crowd. Nemesis licked the dagger, tasting the crimson fluid though he let the rest of the body drop at his feet before he went after the woman that was clever enough to free herself of her brief paralysis and made a run for it through the celebration.

She ran with every fiber she had while Nemesis followed behind. While he could have overtaken her with ease, he wanted to make a sport of it. As he would pass bystanders, certain ones met with the dagger and fell upon the ground, though nothing was done about it. The general consensus was that they fell over drunk or sapped of energy from the festivities, but the woman knew the truth. She also knew that no one would save her and before long Nemesis grew bored with this prey and caught up to her.

The dagger plunged into her back where her heart was and his free hand clasped against her gasping mouth, muffling her screams. He brought his lips to her ear and shh her before turning the dying girl around to face him and took her hand. His other was firmly against the dagger’s hilt as he led her in a macabre waltz within the crowd. The impulse seemed to subside, but he knew it would strike again, urging him to seek out more death. It was a dance he’s done for much longer than with the girl for whom after a few precious moments, he withdrew his tool and discarded her ruthlessly.

Vincent was still getting the lay of the land, after traveling through Adeluna he had made quite a bit of coin while he was there.  He primarily performed odd jobs, usually those that required gathering herbs and performing minor treatments of injuries and illnesses.  It was then he was grateful for his exposure of Moghedrin's knowledge through his wife.  He missed her dearly, every so often he caught a glimpse of her out of the corner of his eye.  Sometimes he saw his father, his sister, and on rare occasions his grandfather.  The young man had wanted so badly to be as powerful as Spike Krugle but it would seem he had suffered a major set back and his powers had been greatly diminished.  He was in a new world with little else that his ability to learn and the knowledge that he had from the old world.

When he had earned enough coin he decided to explore a little more and perhaps get closer to finding anyone else from the old world.  The young wolf truly hoped that it would be a friendly face, but part of him thought he might not get so lucky.  The trip across the water had been lovely, it had been sometime since he had traveled by boat and it was a welcome change from what he had seen since he had been there.  Although his stomach didn't seem to agree with the ride and by the end of it he was grateful to get off.  Perhaps he would stay and better prepare himself for the travel back.  Vincent wanted to dive into the books to get better acquainted with  the ways of this world.  Knowledge was something he had always prided himself on and he hated feeling so ignorant.

As Vincent tried to find his way to a library he saw there was a festival.  He smiled a bit as he watched people dance around, drink, be merry.  Vincent didn't partake in the drinks but he did find himself dancing with a few other people.  Then something caught his attention as someone fell over and no one else really noticed except him.  Vincent's instinct took over as he went to check on the man.  He had been stabbed, he tried to get him stable only to see his life slip away.

Vincent followed the bread crumb trail of bodies, each one his weak magic was unable to save them from the grips of death.  The young man could feel the rage building up in him, he didn't feel his wolf but he certainly felt angry over this.  That was when he came to the last victim as she fell to the ground, blood pooling beneath her body.  Vincent glanced up to see someone walking away from all this, not a hurry in their step as no one else was pursuing them.  Vincent tightened the grip on  his staff, if no one was going to do anything about this murderer, he was going to do something.

Vincent then took off after this man, no knowing who he was or what he was capable of only that there was an injustice that needed to be righted.  "Hold it right there you son of a bitch!"  Vincent yelled as he swung his staff and it collided with the man's back.

If one knew this world's Nemesis, they would have sworn up and down that he was on a blood high. Surely this wasn't the man that was so poised at times and wouldn't dare to make a speculator out of these deeds. But it was him, the one that he kept in the recesses of his mind. The monster that he once was back home and it was slowly coming out more, perhaps because it needed to. In any matter, the vaewolf would see it to that his urges would be sated, no matter how much blood needed to be spilled on these grounds. So far no one had really grasped what was going on in the midst of the gathering, and likely wouldn't for the next few hours if not informed by the smell of blood pools first. Gods, it felt like a release for him.

Though it seemed that his mischief wouldn't go unnoticed as much as he thought.

It came with the briefest of warning right before he felt something collide with his back, forcing him to stumble in step. He didn't feel much pain from it, but it was enough to stir his nerves as he snapped his head to the side to see who the hell would act in such a brutish matter against him. The scent was that of a lupine within this towering man, but there was a distinctiveness about him, something that was both familiar and unknown to him. As he bore at his form with crimson eyes, Nemesis first believed him to be just another thuggish werewolf from Kurayo. The lower parts of that city were just littered with that sort, but no. There was something more, perhaps not from him but from his lineage. The thought constantly poked at him much like that staff that was clearly in hand.

"What do you want, boy?", he spoke in a soft, snarling matter. Those red orbs quickly turned completely black, as if they carried the eternal abyss. The hand that carried the obvious murder weapon gripped tighter around its hilt. Whether he was here simply for a fight or if he was standing up for these poor, defenseless people remained to be unseen, but Nemesis didn't appreciate having his fun ruined. The urge was strong as it pulsed through him, both in body and mind. It would not be denied its call, and through that, he moved in with blinding speed, perhaps enough though that the boy could react if he didn't want that dagger plunged into his right side. As the distance between them waned, that's when he took in more of the scent and for a moment he realized where he might have drawn it in from originally. It was back when he was swimming inside Neveah's head to observe her memories, pruning whichever ones she wanted out.

Fate would be cruel to bring one of his blood against him.

Vincent felt his instincts kick into high gear when those crimson orbs settled on him.  Those words that were growled at him is when Vincent knew he would likely have a fight on his hands.  Before he could even begin to form an answer on his lips is when the dagger was pressed into his direction.  Vincent had never been that great in a fight but he managed to pull away without it being buried in him but it did slice open his skin.  The young wolf jumped back a little, blood was already staining his shirt.  Given his current power levels he couldn't heal this minor wound without distracting himself from the fight.

"You left a trail of bodies for no damn reason!  You didn't kill them because they slighted you, you didn't kill them to feed on them, no, you killed them for absolute sport."  Vincent didn't see the "dance" with the woman, but this seemed like something his father would do in his younger days.  Only Tobias had never been too good at doing it in a stealthy way, Vincent was sure that his father liked the attention.  This man was something else, same level of wickedness and cruelty with at least the sense to hide it.

"I won't let you just go unchallenged!  These people didn't need to die and I'm going to make sure they receive justice for what you've done to them."  Vincent said, senseless killing was something in the past he might not have stood up to.  He knew deep down that he really shouldn't be doing this tonight, he wasn't nearly as powerful as he was in Daeluin.  He would have to play it safe in this fight, make sure that he sought opportunities to gain the upper hand.

Vincent then swung his bo staff toward this man's face, but truly it was only at half strength.  His true strike started after he started swinging the staff and after that started he went to kick the man in the gut with his foot.

Nemesis was pleased greatly as he watched his latest quarry dance for him, the fresh scent of blood released from his side was sensual to his nostrils. He couldn't help but chuckle at the situation they both were in. He also couldn't resist bringing the dagger's blade to his lips and with care, he licked at the crimson. It had a bold flavor to it, one that he would have to memorize for a later time. There was so much that the youth didn't know of him, and it gave him a great advantage but the question was what to do with it? it didn't seem like his little vixen had any ties to the boy, not like he was hers after all. That was the impression he got from when he was inside her mind.

Would he pay for the sins of his father?

Perhaps not, he didn't know the man and clearly not his son, but still, he got in his way of entertainment. And for what? Some righteous baloney about how these blood leeches didn't deserve to die? Hell, they were getting as much as an honorable death as they could ever wish for by his hand.  He was the judge, jury, and executioner tonight, and he'd be damned if told otherwise. "They deserve every bit given to them", he replied in a cold tone. "Sheep have no right to argue how they die to the wolf. You will do well to remember that if nothing else."

Justice. That was the part where he burst out in hysterical laughter, holding onto his side. He attempted to raise his blade, but he couldn't keep it steady. "Justice… Don't preach such things to me! Do you know what this place is? Where the rich use the poor as their footstools…." He could have gone on, but while he was distracted, he failed to spot the coming blow from the staff and then the kick. The two-pronged attack got him nicely as he fell on his back. It was a few moments before he rose halfway up inhumanly and glared at the lad before taking a hand and cracking his jaw. It had been more annoying than painful, but still, there was a lesson for him to learn from attacking an alpha like himself.

"Your kind seems to love to play the hero…so be it."

Nemesis grinned at him, his fangs more evident as his facial features became more feral. His clothes started to rip as his form changed dramatically. "Fine then, protect them all from the big bad monster, if you can!" This would mark the first time that the god had shifted and it was apparent to him by the end that his ascension had touched his wolven blood as well. A hulking wolf stood before his opponent, but instead of sporting the white fur he was familiar with, he was jet black with white tips. His eyes were void of any color as they followed Vincent menacingly before they moved over to the closest human present. Releasing a blood-curdling howl, the patrons present finally noticed the nightmare before them and started to panic. Nemesis could feel the fear washing over him, drowning him in a sick delight before he darted himself right into the crowd. The wolf tore through them without restraint, flinging them around as if they were toys.

So brutal he was with his fangs and claws ripping through them, staining his fur a dark red color. "Come hero! Make me stop!", he called from the midst of the chaos.

Vincent watched as the man went down, it was good that the young wolf still had some of those skills left too.  This man seemed to be so full of himself, talking about how the rich treated the poor like trash while mercilessly killing them.  It was the same here as it was Daeluin, killing wouldn't solve any problems at all.  But then something happened that Vincent couldn't have predicted, so this man was a werewolf too.  But it would seem that Vincent's wolf was ever absent from him since the shift over to this realm.  But when those claws started to dig into other people he felt a fury building within him, something started to claw beneath the surface.

He quickly grabbed someone and started to direct them to helping people escape the beast.  He had started this, he was sure as hell going to finish it.  He held his staff in his hand and was ready to charge in, to lay his life down for these people in hopes that they would survive when something burned underneath his skin.  It was his wolf, he was sure that the stress of the situation had pushed his wolf to the surface once more.  The boy's face grew more feral too and he let out a snarl.  It didn't take long for him to turn into his own werewolf form, he was standing on his hind legs with sharp claws and teeth.  His fur was a pristine white color and his eyes were a piercing blue.  He knew he wouldn't stay this color for long after this fight.  Vincent was a big man and he was even bigger in this form as well.

The white wolf let out a deafening howl and snarled at the one killing.  He jumped at the other wolf to land on his back and dig his claws in.  He did this in attempt to stop him from destroying the people in front of him and to try and yank in back.  Vincent knew that he had to put a stop to this madness and he knew that beasts like this couldn't be reasoned with.  They were consumed with the need only to kill and taste blood, nary a thought beyond that.  Driven by instinct they were barely better than the animals that roamed the world.

A point had to be made, and it was uncaring on Nemesis' part on how many souls would be lost this night, nor how much damage he'd have to inflict onto the youth to get him to learn what he had always known. Something more than a couple of cheap shots would be needed to cease his teachings, not that anyone on this pathetic island could stop him. The more fear that was being spread out by his victims, the more powerful he became through feeding off it. Ironically, the very people that his little friend sought to protect would be his undoing. But still, he would have to see this through and witness what this hero would be capable of to protect 'the helpless, innocent folk'.

The large wolf trotted through the crows on all fours, whipping a bunch out of his way while tearing through those unfortunate enough to get in his path. The atmosphere was grim and bloody- his preferred settings as of this time. Gods, he would have to explain to his wife what sort of bloodbath he'd preformed, though it would be difficult to tell whether she would be angry at his bestial ways, or if she would simply take him, blood-covered and all and ask questions later. Such a delightful thought crossed his mind for the slightest of times as he carried on his brutish acts.

A strong scent carried through the air and fell onto his nose before he turned slightly to see to that the youth had taken into his form as well. The god wolf was in the middle of snatching one of the perky little men, his maw latching onto his hand when he felt the other wolf against him. He felt the claws reaping through fur and flesh, striking blood from him before the annoying attempt to pry him from his sheep. The pain was felt but all it did was make him double down on his efforts. He would show him that size alone would not help against the vaewolf, and then proceeded to flail violently to buck him off. He then went to charge back into the fleeing people, flinging the pair through as many of them as possible to escalate the chaos. How would the boy feel to see people trampling over one another? Doing all they can to save their own necks? Would he see a small taste of what Nemesis seen for eons? Truly humans were the absolute worse of the races- they pillaged, murdered, and enslaved unlike the other fairer races, yet they orchestrated some of the more violent acts in history without reason, unlike the darker ones whose were either instinctive or involuntarily.

The lad wanted to protect them, however…

As he sought to deal with him, Nemesis thought of a brilliant idea. While the fear he feeds on was being used against Vincent, why not use the source of his nourishment as well?

The wolf ceased his run and dark energies rushed from him and onto a few of the escapees that were unscathed. The powers covered them in an eerie aura before being consumed by their worse fears. Mixing it with his own psionic powers, he would ensure that it was Vincent projected as their terrors and would seek to undo him. Some of them rushed to find whatever weapons they could and started to fend against him. It would be obvious that something dark had sparked their hatred, to give them that little push off the edge, and he would take glee in seeing either him or the townspeople destroyed. Whichever didn't matter to him.
