Sebastian stared at the man incredulously. "Not only do you know what that is, but you're saying that you are one of the same race, essentially?" He waved his hand at Nihr dismissively, gesturing that this would go as a rhetorical question. He did not want to be responsible for what might happen to him if he continued to test his bindings. It was too late though. He elaborated upon the subject a bit more and felt the consequences of his actions.
"I don't think it's that simple," Sebastian replied, shaking his head. "It might be…who…you think it is. It might not. I have lived many lives, Nihr. All living things do in this plane of existence, but it is not often humans are blessed with the awareness such, as well as the details of those other lives. If it were not for this…acquaintance of yours, I would not have been able to make sense of a lot of my past."
Sipping his coffee and taking a deep breath, Sebastian continued to explain. "It does not speak in words or symbols. Just pictures and emotions, planted directly into the mind. I know from what it has shown me that I was designated at birth by a cult to house an entity such as it, or, perhaps, yourself. The troubling part is that it has had opportunities to supplant me from my body, and did not do so. It seems to know all of the details of my lives, and has a very sympathetic spirit towards me."
The Seeker listened with great interest as Nihr described another like him wandering Revaliir, and nodded agreeably as his journal was thumbed through and sketched in. He shook his head again when presented with Ramla's symbol. "I don't recognize any of her names, or her symbol. Again, I don't think the circumstances there would be so simple. I have had many friends and enemies over the course of my life…when I project into death, though, I do not see the ones I know to have had - the ones I see in dreams. My other lifetimes were in other realities. I'm certain that it would be possible to see anyone that has died from any realm, if one was versed in planar magicks. There is likely a wall of sorts in place, much like the separation of dimensions in the living world. I myself am not talented in the arcane arts. I know a good bit of mysticism, if you consider that to be relevant. The abilities that I do possess have been innate to my flesh for as long as I can remember."
Sebastian lifted his journal to his side of the table and touched at the symbol Nihr had drawn. He committed its every detail to memory, and he idly compared it to the other symbols he himself had sketched. "I would very much like to speak with this Ramla, if that would be at all possible. I am a wee bit hazy as to the nature of your relationship though, given that I do not entirely understand the nature of my relationship to the one attached to me. You speak of her as a father would of a daughter, but I get the impression the intimacy is a touch more intricate than that."
