His face was a little flustered after she got up but he did his best to hide it. She then began to talk about where they could get some materials and weapons. He pushed himself to a sitting position and listened as she told him the plan. Wesley felt fine with this, since they were stealing from other thieves it was fine. And he felt that they could really use some items, unless they wanted to die halfway through their journey.

"Alright." He said with a small.

The next day, they were traveling through the forest with their new materials. While she had been stealing important things like packs and a sword, he had been swiping other items. He had a pack as well but his was filled with a violin, a bottle of wine, two glasses, and candles. He had to investigate the camp thoroughly to find these items and the candles were a little plain. Beggars couldn't be choosers. Wesley did have a basic hunting bow and some arrows, so he had SOME useful items. But he had mostly been on a lookout for things that could make their trip more romantic. They could see the observatory on the hill. He felt her fingers run up his spine as she made ghost noises. Then she offered to hold him.

"I'll keep that in mind if a ghost appears." He said with a little smile, "Lets make camp inside the spooky observatory. That way we'll get to see the ghosts clearly if they decide to kill us."

That last part was mostly a joke, since he didn't expect too many ghosts to be out and about. The sun was getting close to sunset so he quickened his pace as he went up the hill. He didn't want her to miss the sea of fire but he made sure she was able to keep up. Not that was too much of a concern. He doubted anything could slow her down. Wesley made his way to the door and opened it. A cloud of dust flew out causing him to go into a fit of coughing.

"Sorry!" He said afterwards, "I forgot how dusty it was in there."

Wesley opened the door for Hana to let her in first.

They were quite the pair. Both were rather nimble with their fingers and it showed as they continued to do so until they finally arrived at their destination without getting caught. They could have had a whole farm with the land if they were really up to the challenge. It did entertain Hana at how good he was when it came to stealing. It was a good survival tactic after all and he did say he had been traveling for a while.

“I’ll look forward to it,” she said in a teasing tone as they stalked closer to the rather large building. She had never known this was here and it gave her an eerie feeling. “Okay, fine inside the spooky conservatory but I get to be dessert if they come to eat us,” there was a smirk and chuckle as he opened up the door.

There was a creak thanks to the old hinges on the door and it only added to the increased creepiness the building had. The dust made her sneeze and that led her to waving her hand a bit to wave the dust away from her. Not that it helped, the whole damn place was covered. “Someone needs to fire their ghost maid… She clearly sucks at her job.”

Cautiously she crossed the threshold of the conservatory and her bi-colored eyes were looking all around to see what was lurking inside the building. “So is this where you tell me you are a lycanthrope eater and trap me?” It was filled with humor as she lightly jumped away from a spider web that she had almost walked into. “Let’s set up camp before we become actual spider food… Never mind the ghosts,” she took her sword and cleared the webs as they went.

“To the tippy top, I do suppose.” She held out the sword in a heroic manner as she pointed towards the stairs. “I came for stars and I want to see the stars. I will cut through anything that gets in my way, or at least try to… Do you think you could cut into a ghost if you believed you could?” She blinked a bit and shrugged. “Probably not… That was probably some hocus pocus bullshit that my cousin was sprouting during the yearly get together.” She looked back at Wesley.

“Well, gentlemen first… After all, you are supposed to be braver than I am,” She got behind him and started to push him towards the stairs. “How bad could it be Mr. Explorer?” The staircase looked even eerier. She grabbed an old lantern off the wall and with some fire magic managed to light it up. “Oh, loveeeellyyyy. The light makes it look even more creepy than my night sight did.”

She patted him gently on the tush with the flat side of her sword, "Come on now…" She sounded more like she was trying to reassure herself.

Wesley was beginning to wonder which one of them was actually the more frightened. He'd assume it was himself, but he had been to the observatory before so it wasn't as bad. He closed the door behind them and listened as it made a loud creak. Dust was everywhere and now he was regretting that he hadn't gone ahead to clean things up. Hana DID say she liked creepy things

"Maybe they already did." Wesley commented as he looked at the dirty floor.

He watched as she subtly jumped away from a spider web and seemed to be slightly uncomfortable. But she continued on-wards and appeared determined to get to the top. Wesley followed behind her as she cut through the spiderwebs with her sword and headed towards the stairs. Everything about the observatory seemed the same since his last trip which was a relief. The last thing it needed was thieves or a cult of the dead moving in.

"Alright alright!" Wesley said with a chuckle as he was nudged to the stairs by her sword, "I'd imagine magical swords could cut a ghost. I guess if all else fails we could invite the ghost to tea. If ghosts can drink tea….I'm not caught up on ghost knowledge."

As he spoke, he climbed up the stairs towards the top of the observatory. The room was silent with only the occasional creaking of the building to provide any sound. Finally Wesley made it to the top of the staircase. The top room had a ceiling of glass and a few glass walls. The dust covered floor had a circle with the phases of the moon and a lotus flower in the center, like he had described earlier. The sun was setting and made the sea look like it was on fire. The room was filled with light from the sunset that shone through the glass.

"Here we are." Wesley said turning back to Hana, "Like I promised. A sea of fire. Now lets see if there's anything I can do about the dust."

A small rag was in the corner along with an empty bucket. He had no water but he was able to clear the floor's layer of dust. Once he was done, Wesley dropped the rag into the bucket and sat down in the center of the observatory.

"What do you think?" He asked with a little smile.

“Probably tea made out of our bone marrow…” Hana stuck out her tongue and chuckled a bit more. At least the jokes were making her feel better. “Ma said there are two types of hauntings. One is residual and one is the one you don’t want to be around.” Her mother would know best about all that stuff since she got called away on more than one occasion to deal with a spirit who wouldn’t leave.

“Whoa,” Hana let it come from her mouth as she wandered around with her eyes darting everywhere. She used the lantern where the light from the sea of fire wasn’t reaching. The whole place was actually kinda gorgeous. “You did promise me a sea of fire~ I didn’t realize you were going to clean too. Ma says that’s a positive in a mate,” she was teasing him again.

Before Wesley could sit she managed to sprawl out one of the thick blankets she had stolen. Plopping herself next to him she rolled her eyes back and forth as she mused. “Mmmm,” she let it go on for a while before she jabbed his ribs with her elbow playfully. “It is rather impressive!” She chuckled and threw herself back on the blanket so she could look up at the sea of fire he had brought her all this way to see.

“This is incredible. The amount of art and history in this room alone was worth the trip but this,” she put her hands up reaching towards the sky, “is definitely one of my favorite parts!” She grinned and looked over at him. “I’m glad you brought me here. I’ve never seen anything like this before. At least not if it wasn’t in a god realm… It isn’t as impressive when they have it.” She paused for a moment before a slight panic filled her voice. She plopped herself up and put her finger to his lips, “Do not tell my ma I said that. Her feelings would get hurt.”

She lowered her finger before plopping back down this time taking him with her. She was laying on her side looking at him. “So, Wesley?” She let the question hang in the air. “You didn’t bring me all the way out here just to bribe me to see my ma did ya?”

The jab knocked the air out of him for a second since he wasn't expecting it. Wesley smiled and watched as she enjoyed herself. He didn't know much about the history since when he found it, he just was using it as a place to sleep. While she was looking at the room, Wesley slipped a few of the candles out of his bag and set them around the blanket, trying to be as discrete as possible. Hana talked about she thought it was impressive, especially since it wasn't in a god realm, then a bit of panic filled her voice before she asked him to keep it a secret.

"Don't worry. I'm great with secrets." Wesley said.

She then got straight to the point and asked him why he'd brought her up there in the first place.

"No, I'm afraid there's more to it. You've caught me at last. There's no denying it!" He said with a cheeky smirk and a hand to his forehead, "I'm a lycanthrope eater who will devour your soul!"

His voice was silly and he was acting overly dramatic so she would know right away he was joking with her. Wesley took the wine bottle he'd stolen from the camp and two wine glasses from his bag and showed them to her. He slowly tried to pull out the cork. It didn't work at first but he eventually got it.

"I actually wanted to have some wine with you." He said as he began pouring her a glass, "I swiped it from the thieves camp. The tent with all the bright colors and feathers. Been stealing to survive for five years now. Only it was food instead of wine and supplies."

He poured himself a glass and set the wine bottle aside. His hand reached for a match and lit a few of the candles before putting the match out and sitting down next to Hana.

"I also wanted to spend time with you. You're an amazing person Hana." Wesley said with sincere eyes, "I mean that."

Hana grinned at Wesley as he promised to keep her secret. “Whatever, she would get it out of you. She knew my brother-in-law was thinking about my sister’s ass in her presence. Having a deity for a parent means you don’t get away with anything.” She chuckled a bit more. “Not that Ma would ever tell you she was doing it. She was just tired of seeing my sister’s ass cheeks vividly.” There was a snerk from her as she held back a laugh.

There was a sudden burst of air from Hana as she exhaled rapidly. Her lips rumbled together as she let out the worst sound ever while she tried to hold back a laugh at Wesley. She was grinning like a fool and shaking her head at him. “At least have a lick before you decide to buy the whole piece. You don’t even know if you would like to eat me.” She couldn’t stop herself from laughing before she settled down to hear why they were really there.

The wine made her quirk her eyebrow at him and slowly it clicked a little as she sat up. There was a silly little smile on her face once he came out with it. “I don’t think I’m that amazing besides you marched me right into a haunted conservatory to have a last-minute date with me. I think that’s mighty impressive. Most men would have been ‘HANA ROSE I WANT YOU TO BE MY MATE AND HAVE ALL OF MY PUPS.’” She mocked in a deeper voice and from the sounds of it she had heard it before. “You are the first Lycanthrope who hasn’t actually fed me that line believe it or not.”

She took the wine glass and swirled the wine letting her nose catch a whiff of the liquid inside the glass. “Well, I really do mean when I say that I want to spend time with you too.” Her voice got a bit timider as her face flushed. “I’m not very good with this sort of thing. I’ve been asked out plenty but I’ve never actually gone on a date with anyone before… You would be the first.”

There was no better time than the present as she drank down some of the wine fast and gulped it down. Her eyes were staring at him almost with stars before quickly leaning in and putting her lips to his. “No better person I think to have a lot of firsts with now that I think about it.” It left her lips as a whisper.

"I try to have some class when bringing a girl to a date." He said once Hana described her experiences.

He knew he wasn't the best at dating but he was thoroughly surprised by the way other lycanthropes' behaviors. Wesley wondered for a moment if being raised without the culture of lycans actually helped him out in this area. It was one of the many reasons why he couldn't control his wolf form. That and the curse. But he knew, Lycan or not, nobody should treat somebody like that. Especially not Hana. She deserved better.

He took a tiny sip of his wine before setting down the glass. Suddenly Hana moved in with a kiss. Everything seemed to be in slow motion for Wesley as he panicked, wondering if he was supposed to keep his mouth closed or open. What kind of kiss was this? What should he do? He'd never been kissed before and had no clue how to go about it. When she pulled away, his face was flustered and pink.

"I'm glad you chose me." He said softly, "Sorry, I'm not exactly experienced in any of this either."

In one fell swoop, she destroyed all of his attempts to be suave and cool with a single kiss. Not that he minded that much, but now he had no idea what to do next. The romance novels he'd read ended the date at the kiss or went into…other stuff. Were they supposed to do the other stuff? No that seemed too soon. They'd just met. But what if that's what she wanted? He tried to push aside these thoughts and tried to focus.

"So what do you want to do now?" Wesley asked.

He was leaned in and still invested in the date but he was also trying to figure out where to take it. If only somebody had wrote a manual on how to do a date! Then he could just follow the book's instructions. On the outside, he was just blushing a bit and seemed to be calm but on the inside, things were different.

Hana chuckled and shook her head. “City Lycans are different from Tribal. In our tribe, most of us die young so we mate young and we have children young. I’m obviously an exception because of who my mother is and so is my twin brother.” Had she told him she had a twin? “His name is Jet and he is eight minutes older. He tends to hold it over my head.”

She realized she was rambling off and before long she had gotten the bold idea to kiss him. Hana could tell that she had either spooked him or surprised him really well. The young woman was leaning towards the surprised part thanks to how he was reacting later in the kiss. “We’ll figure it out. How hard can it be? At least we don’t have any expectations,” she chuckled softly.

She reached up and rubbed her neck. “Who knows? Enjoy the night? See where it takes us? I don’t even know where to take this myself. I just know as long as you are here that it will be perfect.” She scooted across the blanket and for a second hesitated as the blush came across her cheeks again. She reached out and gently took his arm putting it around her before she rested her head against the nook of his neck. This way she could tilt her head up and look at him but also see the sea of fire.

“I think this is a good start…” Pulling a second blanket over she covered the two of them and pondered for a moment. “Did you bring food too?” She was mostly teasing and she didn’t really want him to move. “I guess I should have asked that before I moved in like this.”

He was relieved to hear her explain she didn't have any expectations. Wesley didn't either but he was unsure if Hana would. He relaxed as Hana put his arm around her and rested her head against his neck. It was comfortable since he could easily look to the sea and stars but still be able to look at her. The sun finished its decent into the sea and left the stars that were just starting to appear in the sky. She asked if he brought any food and Wesley smiled.

"I knew I was forgetting something." He said with a small chuckle, "If you want I can get you some but you seem pretty comfy. I'd hate to make you move."

And he'd hate to have her move. His eyes drifted to the glass ceiling above them. The stars sparkled like tiny little jewels in the sky while the moon looked like the centerpiece holding everything together. The sky was a mix of purple and black, as the sun had only just set and had left some colors behind. Using his left arm, that wasn't wrapped around Hana, he pointed to a set of stars.

"You see those stars? If you follow it from right to left, you can see a hummingbird." He said, "It's probably not an official constellation. As a kid I'd stay up until morning counting the stars and making pictures out of them. The sky itself was a painting and I was the decoder, trying to find the hidden images. I guess it was a way for me to entertain myself when I was bored."

He looked to her beautiful eyes.

"What about you?" He asked, "How do you see the stars?"

“Nahh, we can eat later. You don’t actually want to move either,” she smirked a bit and relaxed completely. She watched as the sea fire disappeared and the night sky took over. Hundreds of stars were laid out before them and it was a sight that she would never get tired of.

Once he began to point out his own constellations she got excited. “OH! I CAN SEE IT CLEARLY WHEN YOU POINT IT OUT LIKE THAT!” She sounded amazed as she snuggled in more. “You should write all of this down. You know constellations always start out as someone’s story. You could be really good at it Wesley.”

Staring back at him she thought for a moment. “Wolves are naturally attuned to the night sky. From the time we are born till the time we pass and sometimes even after. Those of us who have served the Mother Moon and the Sister Moon well will be called upon for the eternal hunt,” she reached up with a free hand. “Edrik, the mighty wolf, was the first of our kind or so the stories say. His stars are the five right there. He pledged himself to the Mother Moon and protected her from the mortals. He also loved the Sister Moon but dared not tell her because she too was holy to him and his kin.”

Moving her finger she made a face for a moment, “The shield of Delise is represented in these stars here. She was a shield maiden among the first of the Lycanthrope. She slew a great mighty titan to save her kin. And… Over here,” she dragged her finger once more and pointed out a few more stars. “Is the Lunar Clover. It represents the fate that binds us among wolves. The Lunar Clover is a special flower that blooms in Bohar and is presented in my tribe to our mates. If one accepts they are bonded not only by the strings of fate but by blood. Once mated these wolves never separate and they are emotionally tuned to one another. Ma says that it is the greatest kind of love. Eternal devotion. A soulmate.”

She realized it sounded a bit heavy in their situation and chuckled. “Rosenites also have constellations that we follow. I can tell you about it another time though… Ours are based on history and it sounds boring when you make it a lesson like that. You have to explain everything.”

Closing her eyes she thought about it. “Let’s play twenty questions.” It wasn’t really a request as she went right into it. “How old are you and where are you from?”
