Naota was someone the wolf demon didn’t expect to come into her life; he was a welcomed unexpected man. There were times where she wouldn’t expect the power that would come from him, maybe that was what drew her to him. Danger; that is what brought them together every time. Moments with Naota was always exciting and surprising, just like now. The wolf demon had two friends that made her life surprising; Noata and Natsumi. Any time she was around them, she wouldn’t know what to expect.

The moment the wolf was hit by the creature, she was sent back into a rock wall. The pain that shot through her back only lasted a few seconds before she focused on the monster. The wolf demon stood up quickly, and was back beside the God once more; pain would not bring her down. Not when she had a life worth living; she wouldn’t die here.

The God spoke as soon as she reached him. She nodded; ready. He soon ran off away from her and went into the pool of water she was just pulled into. The wolf demon didn’t know his plan, but she would go along with it anyway. They needed to do something besides get their butt’s handed by them by a very large guard dog.

Katerina’s eyes went back to the creature as he ran towards her. “Shit!” She let herself be distracted for too long by the man. The wolf demon jumped out of the way just in time for his fists come down onto the spot where she just stood. Her eyes fixed on him as she readied herself for him to swing back at her. The axe came at her stomach, but the wolf was able to jump back away from the blade.

“Come on, Naota.” She thought as she rolled to get out of the way from another hit. When she got to her feet, the monster charged at her. The sounds of his feet hitting the ground echoed through the small cave. When he was coming at her, her eyes glanced at the walls behind him; symbols glowed brightly. A smirk came to her lips as she jumped high over the monster. Her hand reaching up to touch the rock roof above. When she landed, she figured out what the God was doing; he found the spot where he could use magic. They were going to get out of there after all.

The guard dog came at her again, slicing at the wolf. Katerina didn’t let him hit her; she ran away. She could feel the blade coming just inches from her back. “Bloody hell. Naota. Hurry!” She said as she ran up along the wall to flip over the creature.

When she landed, that was when she heard the man. A smirk came to her lips as she stepped back slightly. She could feel her power rising within her. The creature turned to face her, he was about to attack her; the symbol change unknown to him.

“Burn Dog.” Katerina said once more before symbols of swirls around her chest and eyes began to glow. Flames lit in her hand; swirling up around her wrists to her elbows. Her hand slowly began to rise from her shoulders before she shot out her first fireball. The beast growled at her before charging at her; his arm was lit with fire.
The guard dog swung his axe towards her, but his axe seem to miss her every time. Katerina smirk grew even more; Naota was protecting her. “Thanks..” She thought to herself as she decided to try to mix her holy light with fire. “Time to purify your evil ass.” She said aloud before jumping over the beast again. She landed a few feet from him before she turned around just before he began to charge at her. Her fists hit the ground; cracking the rock beneath them. Flames erupted from her hands; they were different then normal flames, they were were dancing white instead of the normal red orange. The flames made a trail towards the beast within seconds and he was lit with white flame. His roars echoed through the cavern until he fell to the ground, his body turning into powder.

The wolf demon sighed as she slowly came to her feet. The beast was gone and now they needed to get out of there. “Naota… Get us out of here. Plea–” She trailed off the end of her sentence as she fell to the ground. She felt so weak. “Maybe that power wasn’t such a good idea..” She said and tried to force herself up. She wanted out now, and wasn’t going to let this weakness get the best of her.

He took her cue and consecrated the flames with which she attacked and a smirk grew on his lips as he watched each blow she doled. Katerina was a terrifying force to be reckoned with when she let go in the way she was doing now. Today hadn’t been the best, and he would be glad when they were finally able to leave. As the berserker crumpled into ash he breathed a sigh of relief and closed his eyes. While he wanted to rest for just a minute, he knew soon that they’d be somewhere much safer and didn’t want to waste any time getting there.

Katerina’s words broke off and his eyes instantly opened down on her again before flickering from the hill to be beside her. His arm went out just in time to wrap around her and keep her from going all the way to the ground. She was weak, that was obvious, and while the wards had been unwoven in this area he wasn’t sure if that would be permanent. Surely it had to have set off an alarm of some kind. Even if not, he was ready to go, and scooped her up completely in his arms as another portal traced open in front of him just like the one he’d opened for the prisoners,

“Yes, no one likes a show off Katerina.” he chuckled, wanting to lighten her as much as he could even though his own heart was still pounding. He gently kissed her hairline and stepped through the portal, knowing well that it would close right behind them and keep anyone else out. The portal led to the entrance hall of Suisho no Kyuden and he kept her gently held in his arms as he walked further in. Normally he would have danced them through light to the bathing room, but she hated teleportation so much that he didn’t want to risk her losing the contents of her stomach.

Luckily, he knew these halls better than anyone and was soon walking up one of the spiraling staircases towards the next level, “This wasn’t exactly how I wanted you to pay a visit, but it’ll do eh?” He could hear running water as they got to the third floor, “On this floor across the way are bed chambers. You’re welcome to stay as long as you need of course, and we have plenty in the ways of healing…For now I’m going to take you to one of the private bathing areas.” There she would be able to spend as much time as she could possibly need with no chance of interruption. A metaphysical cleansing was in need for both of them, who knew what negativity clung to them from that place?

“That was a dangerous amount of power all at once Katerina…” His tone was soft yet firm, very concerned, “How are you feeling…?” Maybe it would be better to take her somewhere that she could sleep and rest, but they were both so filthy that it would take forever to scrub off. Just thinking about his own tub made his bones ache with want. He’d need to take her back to her home soon, but right now he was concerned with making sure she was safe and healed as well as free from any traces of that place that might follow her. Being the holiest location in Revaliir, this was the safest area for her right now, even if only for an hour.
