A village called Caister in the middle of the Plains of Bohur was busy at work. The sun was shining brightly as the villagers were helping each other collect the harvest that had busily grown over the spring and summer. Carts were being filled with the produce that would help the entire village. They shared their food since the village was too small to be able to horde food. In order to survive they need to help each other on their farms and share what food they have. Tristana had arrived to the village in the morning and had somehow been roped into watching the children as the rest of the adults worked. There were twelve children that were too small to work on the farm. Five of them were much easier to care for since they were just toddlers. All Tristana had to do was make sure they didn't run off or eat something they shouldn't have. As for the the other seven, well they were much more curious and were very interested in exploring around. Tristana was sitting on a crate holding one little boy while two other toddles had firm grips on both of her legs. The other two toddlers were sitting on a blanket next to Tristana. The other seven children were either messing with Tristana's stuff, chasing her baby dragon, or complaining about the adults working. Since Tristana had never watched or even played with children before, this was scary to her. Taking care of these children was scary. What was she supposed to do? What was she supposed to say? And how would she get these kids to calm down and not get into trouble? A boy with black busy hair approached Tristana.

"Miss, why do our parents have to work? It's nice out. Shouldn't they be relaxing and having fun like us?" The little boy asked,

Tristana was about to answer normally. To just say that they were adults and adults needed to do stuff like this. It would have been a simple explanation. However she had an idea. A wonderful idea.

"That's a great question Thilam." Tristana responded with a slight smile, "Doesn't it seem like during nice weather we should play? That's what a certain chipmunk thought too."

"But chipmunks can't think." The little boy, Thilam protested.

"There's a lot more to animals then we know about. After all how does a chipmunk know where to find food or how to escape predators? There must be thought put into that. In fact animals can even communicate to each other in different ways." Tristana explained.

The rest of the children began to gather around Tristana, eager to hear more about the animals and to hear her answer a question that was all in their minds. Tristana put down the boy in her arms onto the blanket and urged the others to sit down in order to hear her better. The two kids going through her stuff stopped and sat down. So did the kids chasing Tristana's baby dragon. The dragon fled back to Tristana's bag to hide.

"A long time ago there was a little brown chipmunk with a black strip on its back. The chipmunk loves to play and the warm weather had just began. He was able to play as much as he wanted now. Everyday he was able to play in the warm and sunny weather. Everyday he passed this squirrel that had her arms full with acorns. Each day he sees her he asks her to play with him but she declines. 'There is plenty of time to play in the winter time if you have prepared for the winter.' The squirrel said. The chipmunk just shrugged his shoulders and continued on wards playing as much as he liked."

"The next day the chipmunk asked again for the squirrel to play with him and the squirrel declined. 'Why are you working now?' The chipmunk complained, 'You can work another day. Instead you should come play.' The wise squirrel shook her head and said, 'If I can get this done today then I can play as much as I want when its winter. If I stop working now when its nice then I'll have no food when its cold.' The chipmunk shrugged his shoulders again. 'There is plenty of time to do that.' He then went off to play again. One day the chipmunk woke up and there was snow on the ground. The wind had flown in and was making everything at the slightest touch freezing cold. The clever squirrel is able to stay in her home through Glaciem sleeping and eating all the food that she gathered over terra, ignius, and venti. She can play and dance in her warm home as much as she liked while the chipmunk was cold, tired, and starving. From then on whenever there was warm weather the chipmunk would work hard and whenever there was cold weather the chipmunk would play."

The kids seemed to have enjoyed Tristana's story. They most likely had parents who were too busy to be able to tell them stories all the time so getting one must have been nice.

"Please tell us another story!" One of the kids said.

Tristana then began on her next story. This one would be about how a spider and a fox were trying to out trick each other in a competition. She wove the story to have a moral about the damage of what can seem as harmless tricks. Then she began another story about the duck who was afraid of water. Her next story was about a shape shifting peacock prince who was under a spell. The rest of the morning and some of the noon was filled with stories like these. Soon the parents returned from their work and picked up their children. The villagers thanked Tristana and invited her to a bonfire this afternoon. Tristana promised to come. She then thought she saw somebody else who seemed to have been listening to her stories.
