She took a few steps back and almost began sobbing when she looked down. Slowly though she began to make her way down the ledge and climb down. Of course she often got hit by the water crashing down and she was flushed off. She screamed loudly as she fell and once she reemerged from the water she cried more and loud er than when she fell. She then slowly climbed up and stretched her hand out so Gerard could pull her up.

Having watched her slowly pick her way through the climbing wall, he grabbed her hand and yanked her up onto the other side. "Now that's over, onto the next one." He wasn't moved at all when he watched the finned girl shriek and flail when most of the danger had already been neutralized. She would be and was perfectly fine, in spite of her exaggerated reaction. Again, he wasn't going first as that meant getting the full brunt of the traps. Crossing his arms he examined the new area, and looked for anything that was out of place. "Gods' sake…how much further does this ruin go?" The bard grumbled tapping his foot impatiently. Checking the light coming from outside, he knew time was passing, and that was precious time he couldn't afford to waste. If only he had taken a better look at the structure from the outside first, then he'd have a rough estimate on what to expect. But there was no point in dwelling on the past and what could have been, what was more pressing was the present–right now. And right now he needed to make sure the fish-tailed girl wasn't going to do something incredibly foolish.

Luckily for Gerard, this was the final stretch. She had her tail in her arms like a thick dummy for her to hug. There was a large shut door in front of them both wich no doubt leaded to either the exit or the treasure room with the exit following shortly behind. But first there was a large room with in the middle, a massive knight sitting on a throne. The knight wasnt human sized and it most likely was a sentinel of some sort, it was very old as well. The armor was thickly covered in vines, moss and other plantlife. While it did sit still for now, Vicyeth's loud noises could possibly awake it. "KNIIGHT MAAAAAANNNN" She screams as she bounces to the large knight. Soon, before Gerard could possibly keep her from doing anything dangerous that could hinder him even more she was climbing on the vines and armor of the large behemoth. As soon as Vicyeth had reached his shoulder, two large lights lit up under the helmet and the knight got up. He slowly reached for a massive battleaxe and scanned the room for anything that would need to be crushed…

Gerard held his breath as he saw the armored monstrosity come to life, just as he expected. "No no no no no no no no no no-" He yelled as he started to run. He was not going into a battle, not in this place. He ran back to the spiked pit filled with water and began using his water weaving to move great amounts of it up to where he was. A single hit from that axe and he'd be done for–no second chances. The girl would be fine, as avoiding getting killed seemed to be one of the few things she was competent at. And clearly she would be no help to him either, so he'd have to try to stall it as much as he could before she found a way to break it or it collapsed itself. Nervously re-entering the room, he covered the ground with water and froze the liquid with a snap. When the knight hit an icy patch it should go tumbling down after losing its footing. Gerard had more water at the ready to keep up his stall tactics and to prevent it from coming closer as long as possible. Direct attacks would be pointless with that armor, unless they found something heavier and more damaging than it.

The big knight creature seemingly noticed Vicyeth and in a surprising twist it casually held up his arm and flicked the girl off of his shoulder in a surprisingly fluid, human like manner before he went back into a more blocky robotic movement. The girl was flung into a wall and she could possibly be dead as she laid disturbingly still, especially for the moronic fish girl, her laying still ment it was serious. The large knight looked at the girl and assumed it was dead before looking at Gerard as he slowly made his way to him. As he got closer the size got emphasized alot. He was massive. But suddenly a massive wave hit the knight creature, the wave held the mermoron in it swimming forth like an idiot. The massive tsunami sized hit the knight wich made him lose his balance and he fell down…

Gerard was preparing to ice the armored knight further when he saw Vicyeth go flying into a wall. Visibly grimacing at the impact, he was a tad concerned on whether or not she was still…er, alive. Not coherent, as she wasn't even remotely close when sober. He was just about ready to send ice spikes into the metal construct's joints when a wave came out of nowhere and hit him like a wall. Luckily, it caught the walking armor in its wake, and the nokken quickly regained his balance. Turning the rest of the standing water around the area into ice, he jumped on and began sliding around the fallen armor, using a thin layer of water beneath his feet to reduce friction. It was as if he were skating on the surface, and combining hydromancy and cryomancy–he sent a boulder of ice hurtling towards the back of the knight's head as fast as it would go. A clean shot should decapitate the thing in a fell swoop, and hopefully that would render it useless. If that plan failed, he had another up his sleeve to ensure it broke properly. They couldn't leave until it was 'dead', and there were only two choices. Either it died, or they did. And he certainly wasn't letting this ancient contraption stand between him and his exit.

Vicyeth stood in front of the contraption that was still wet. Suddenly a ghost like creature popped up from behind the girl who now was suckling on a tube of glue. The spirit looked red and almost like something out of a painting. The outlines only describable as linework was yellow. The spirit began casting some sort of electric spell on the large golem continously. The golem exhibited spastic movements as the electricity flowed through it, eventually the knight seemingly died under the electric pressure. Soon after, the ghost seemingly retracted itself into Vicyeth's spine while she abscentmindedly stared in Gerard's general direction. Behind her a massive door opened with the yellow shine of gold and the light of day at the very end of that same corridor. The path led through the treasure chamber and the exit would be a rope hanging from the roof leading up deep in the forrests.

"Hah! Serves you right, you blasted walking contraption!" Gerard shouted, to add insult to injury. However he didn't remember seeing anything that would act as a source of electricity, and had his doubts for a moment. Deciding that he wasn't going to think about this any more, he chose to take this streak of success and run with it. The door was now open and he could smell the fresh air outside. With nothing else to stop him from making his exit, he turned on his heel and made a beeline for the rope that promised a way out. On the way he pocketed a few small items he would later use to bribe the acquaintance he had intended to meet in Endapano, and was inching up the rope. As for the piscine fool down there–she could knock herself out with the treasure room's riches. It was about bloody time he was out of this godforsaken death-trap filled ruin.

Reaching the surface he emerged like a moth finally breaking forth from its cocoon. With a deep exhale of relief he quickly regained his bearings using his map, and ran towards the nearest path he could find. Hopefully he hadn't been detained for too long, or else he would expect the entire island of the elves to be in an uproar over a massive loss of private property. That foolish woman had better not have started her opera singer's debut 'early', otherwise that would open a new can of worms. One of these days, he was going to find himself an enchanted pendant that would automatically bind to and mute the person wearing it and give it to her as a present.
