Sergei had a lot of manners and she knew he would have from the way he spoke in his letters. It was still a shock that they were even at this moment. They were two people from two very different continents and places. She felt herself suck in a bit of air as he spoke and she smirked at him noticing her winter attire. “They thought I was crazy but look at them now… They have to go buy things to stay warm with.” There was a smirk and a chuckle as she looked around for a few seconds. Her eyes snapped back to him as he spoke.

“Oh, it looked absolutely lovely from the airship so I can’t wait to see Iria. At least… The parts that I’m allowed to see.” She corrected herself a bit. “I love good food!” She was sure that sounded weird but she was always a fan of sweet things so she wondered what Irian treats were like. She hadn’t even realized he was still holding her hand while they walked until he spoke up.

Her face went a shade brighter with red as she looked at him as he bowed. “No, no… You don’t need to be sorry I promise!” She pulled his hand a little so he stood up and she smiled a bit more. “I forgot too.” She let her hand leave his now as she put her arms behind her back and looked around. “It’s certainly noisy here with everyone nearby. Is it always like this?” Now she was just talking like an idiot and she mentally huffed at herself.

“So, what are we going to do? We have free time and then we have classwork to do as well… Though I think they put it all on different days so we have relaxation time as well. I just hope our projects won’t be too difficult I would hate to stress over it when I have you…” She paused and blushed a bit and nervously looked away. “When you have lots of stuff to show me!” She finally snapped her face back to his and calmed herself down.

“What do you want to show me first?”

The first thing he noticed of her was her accent- it carried a thick sort of air to it that was rough yet held a fine smoothness to it. Obviously she was also very pretty, something he felt a little intimated of. Perhaps because he never really formally engaged in conversation with a lady face to face. It didn’t help that she was pretty, but he tried to stumble away from that fact and recompose himself. Hell, he knew that his friends would just love to be in his place right about now. “I’m glad I warned you ahead of time. Shame that the others didn’t have the hindsight to do the same for their partners.” He flashed her a friendly grin before nodding enthusiastically. “Yeah, there’s a lot of places we can check out and the food here is great. It was a bit weird compared to what I have in Kurayo at first, but it’s great.” He had some spots in mind that he thought Cinder would like, especially a little bakery near the heart of the city.

He took a sigh of relief when she had reassured him and released his hand. It was obvious that he was a tad nervous, maybe more so than he let on. “Not quite. Most of the time we quietly taking in our studies, at least until the afternoon when we are released from our studies. Alot of us are excited to meet you and the others.”

Sergei scratched the back of his head, seeing that she was just as nervous about the meeting as he was. Somehow that made him a bit more confident since he did want to show her a good time. Perhaps though she wasn’t nervous for the same reason that he was. Gods, why was he overthinking everything?

“We have plenty of time to worry over the assignment. Come, let’s go into the city!” He led her off while the groups dispersed, heading off to their own destinations. He figured that she would be a bit hungry so they walked to the bakery he had in mind and opened the door for her. As soon as the door moved, the strong, heavenly scents of baked goods would hit their noses. “This is a great place that students come to for sweets and such. My mother would kill me if she knew how much of the stuff I eat at a time”, he lightly jested. Though she probably would actually not be pleased with it. “Have a look around, my treat, Cinder.”
