While it was easy to see that many wouldn’t think Dante would take to the role of a father, perhaps he’d prove them wrong with how gentle and caring he was with them. Aside from temporary lovers and family, his past was filled with situations and scenarios where he looked out for number one. Lotus had changed it in a way neither had expected. There had been no pressure for them to build something that neither were looking for. They had their fun time and time again and yet they seemed to be drawn to one another naturally. In truth, he fell in love with her through their tryst and was the reason why he proposed courting her. Ever since, they satisfied each other in ways no other could.

And now they shared a couple of special things in their children.

Dante listened to Angela and when the time came, he helped in handing them over to their mother. He couldn’t help but to smile widely as she approved of them and they saw her for the first time. “A beautiful sight”, he said as he sat up against her and watched the twins become aware of the new world they were in. For a moment, he felt something was slightly off but ignored it when it went away just as quickly as it came.

“I know you will be”, he replied, nuzzling into her. “You know, I had first met my father when I was near adulthood. Before, my mother told me that he was an elf warrior that died in combat, for honor and all that stuff. In truth, had I not been as important as I was, I don’t think he would have cared.” He wasn’t saddened by that news, but said it more as matter-of-factly. Xunatar had some love for his children, but he was far from the perfect father. “No matter what, i won’t leave their side, nor yours, Lotus.”

Lotus had never been one to say she loved anyone or anything. There was familial love but this was something she had forbade herself from feeling. At least she had tried to. The demon beside her at times could be described as a pain in the ass but she did love him. From the moment they met, they kept bumping into each other and entertaining each other. If it hadn’t been for Colden she wasn’t sure if they would have had a reason to seek each other out. It was weird that Colden was the primary reason that his siblings had such bonds to each other. She had been scared when she accepted his courting proposal but Dante was ever devout and he took care of her.

Her bi-colored eyes of red and gold watched as he held onto their children for the first time together. She had never felt a love like this either. The love she had for her children was no doubt the thing her mother never had. Not a shred in her blood… Nor did she have a heart. When Lotus took the twins for the first time with some help tired eyes looked over Casimir and Corbin. She felt their eyes on her and she smiled up at Dante as he spoke.

Lotus nuzzled him back and smiled at him. “We’ll be better than our parents… I know we will.” She leaned over and kissed his shoulder before snuggling into him and watching the little ones who looked around. They were cooing but otherwise, they seemed more content than Estelle had been when she was born. “They have beautiful gold eyes like my father but they do have your hair, Dante… I think that they are very handsome.” She found herself on repeat and chuckled a bit more. She was in awe of them. Of the two little ones that she had created with Dante.

Though she was tired she attempted to stay awake as she laid back against what they had given her to prop herself up on.

Eldora made her way in with Steele after a little bit. She had Estelle in her hands who was growing quite fast herself. Estelle had long black hair in wild curls and deep blue eyes with long eyelashes. She was just as pretty as the boys were. Lotus smiled at her. “Hi, Estelle…”

“Lou-lou… Dane..Dane…” Estelle saw them and squealed as she tried saying their names. She was having trouble still with her t’s and s’s but she would get them soon enough. Eldora brought her over and stood her up on her uncle’s lap so she could see the boys. “Baby?”

Eldora smirked a bit up at Steele and nodded, “Babies Estelle. These are your cousins Casimir and Corbin.” Estelle leaned over and Eldora let her hands go. She trusted Dante to know if she would fall. Estelle touched each of the twins on their heads and smiled up at everyone. “You did great work… both of you… Glad to see your hands still work Dante.” Eldora gave a wink but she was more preoccupied with watching how fascinated Estelle was with the boys.

“Perhaps she wants siblings,” Lotus cracked a joke and Eldora tilted her head.

“One is enough for right now… You will need all the help you can get for two…” Eldora didn’t take it as a joke but she did take Steele’s hand in her own. It wasn’t something they had really talked about at all but watching Estelle made her curious.

“Dada… Baby…” Estelle called up to her father as she touched one of the twins again and looked back up at Steele.
