Hearing someone yell, Daulten awoke. His head banged instantly as her opened his eyes to see the sun. He moaned a bit while the bottle dropped from his hand. Rubbing his eyes, he blinked as everything came into view. His eyes landed on his brother who was finally sitting up and rubbing his eyes.

Alden yawed as he sat on the couch beside Nymph. Standing up he stretched. “What in the world?” her heard Clyde’s voice and froze. He had forgotten about the night before for only a moment. Clyde’s voice was curious but anger lined every word. “Uncle Clyde I can—” He started to say but he sudden punch in the face sent him back over the couch. He landed hard on the floor and gasped. “What the hell man!?” Alden said to Daulton as he saw him jump over the couch. He jumped onto his brother and went for his second hit, but stop at mid swing the moment he smell his mother’s scent walk into the room.

“DAULTON! ALDEN! Stop this now!” Anastasia walked into the living room along with Katherine behind her. Daulton stared down with anger at his brother. Ready to hit him once more but Clyde came over to pull him off of Alden. “You knew I liked her! What do I have to spell out it for you?” Daulton yelled at Alden while Clyde held onto his arm.

Before Alden could say anything in his defence, Daulton stormed out of the house. A sigh left his sister’s lips as she turned to follow him. She hated when her brothers and now it was her time to do damage control.

Alden stood from his spot and frowned at his mother who sighed in response. “I’ll clean everything up.” Turning to Lily the Queen he bowed his head. “I am sorry for the actions of myself and my brother.” He turned around and walked around the couch and started to clean up the mess they had all made.

“When your done, we are going home. I found a house.” Ana said to her son before turning to speak to Lily. “I am sorry from my boys. They will be dealt with.” She bowed and walked outside. She needed to ground her other son.

Alden walked to the kitchen with the dishes in hand and started to wash them in the bin full of water. He didn’t know what he was thinking when he drank the wine. Then Nymph was beside him when he woke. “She smelt beautiful and she was soft…” He thought as he cleaned the plates off.

After a bit Nymph was in between Alden and Daulton. She had her heart racing and soon she was running out of the room with Yaeger in her arms. She jumped from the bottom room all the way up to the top and latched onto the railing so she could flip herself up onto the second floor. Soon she slammed her bedroom door and the silence was enough to hear the lock as well.

Lily’s green eyes were looking up now as she took a large breath. “I need to talk to both of them.” Her words were filled with concern. “I don’t think they realize this is uncharted waters. Big time.” She gave a smile to Clyde and nodded to Ana. “Just make sure that Daulton comes back in and I’ll pull Alden.”

Going to the kitchen Lily made a noise to get his attention. “I need to speak to both of you about Nymphaea.” She didn’t care if Ana or Clyde was in the room. She sat back down in the living room and looked up towards where Nymphaea’s room was.

She thought she could hear hyperventilation. “Sit down both of you. Please don’t fight.” She pointed to the seats across from her and offered a smile. “I won’t tell you not to like her. I won’t tell you not to go after her. What I will tell you is this: She has absolutely no idea what you are doing or saying. It isn’t clicking. You have always had each other. You, Daulton, your sister… you have always had each other. Nymphaea? She was born into a holy house. No one wanted her around. It was painful to watch. I did try my best to make sure she was loved and cared for but it has had its effects on her. It’s made her upset because it’s overwhelming her. I’m sure she likes it but… she doesn’t know how to handle it.”

Despite how much they had drunk she pulled some wine out and poured them half a glass. “Go ahead and drink.” Her words were soft as she thought more. “Nymphaea has always been by herself. Even when she had siblings… she was by herself. There was always a corner where she just existed. Nothing I could say would convince her that she was wanted by other people.”

“My dears, I am ecstatic that you want to be around her that you like her… but you need to be gentle. She doesn’t know what you are doing. Her emotions are fragile and anything could break her. While she has an incredible hard outside there is still a fragile girl on the inside. She's just protecting her.”

As soon as he finished the dishes, he sensed the queen behind him. He turned around and followed Lily out of the kitchen. He repressed a sigh, knowing he was going to get an ear full. He had done wrong and he hated that. Alden had grown from a boy like Daulton to a respectful young man. Though, at times his brother would challenge his personality because he wanted Alden to be like him not like his father. Daulton might look like his father but Alden was more like him.

Taking a seat next to his brother on the couch, they sat apart from each other. They both stayed silent as the queen spoke. He did like her but his brother wanted her. He wouldn’t stand in the way of that. He sat there expressionless as he stared over at her. Daulton on the other hand just looked everywhere but her. He didn’t want to be there and he didn’t care about what she was saying.

When she offered them a drink, Alden took a sip. Daulton was all to excited to take the wine and drink it all at once.

Once she finished, Alden was the first to stand and speak. “I do not like her in that way. The one with a problem is, Daulton.” His voice was leveled. “Thank you for letting us stay here.” He bowed and turned to leave. “Also, congratulations.” He said to Lily and Clyde then walked out of the house. His mother and sister stood there.

Daulton stood as well and said goodbye with a congrads. A big smile lined his face as he walked out.

They headed back to where they’re new home. Only a few minutes walk from the Queen’s manor.
