Why did everything have to be so…pretty? Erebus had made it to this fabled island simply just because he could and to see if there was something there that would catch his thieving eye. So far all that he had spotted was pretty, pretty flowers. A never ending sea of them, all blooming and pretty looking and yet it annoyed him greatly. And why not, he was the most beautiful thing here, and it sickened his stomach to think that out of all that precious effort he put into ceasing the effects of Timedeath (by which, he barely did anything other than observed), this was his reward? A long groaning sound seeped from him as he crushed one of the delicate flowers beneath his boot and dig into it. What right did this place have to deserve to exist? Scuffing at the meaningless thought, he took hold of his scythe and with a clean motion, he spun about and removed as many little flowery heads as possible around him.

The action made him feel slightly better, that was until he noticed that on his white robes laid grass stains and dirt that shattered his perfect image. Oh no, this simply would not do, not at all for one like him. He had an image to obtain, even if the rest of the world didn’t see or care about it. An inhuman scream was let out from him  as his eyes spotted something else- the blasted things regrew their heads. How…how was this even possible? If they could speak, they probably would have mocked him and his attempts. It was a disturbing thought that drove him over the edge. Out of pure frustrated, he started to carve out more and more of the flowers, littering the area with their bodies as his rage guided him on and he pressed forward in his assault.

That was until he ended up hitting striking at something that was thicker than even that of trees. At first he assumed it was some sort of vegetation that grew native here and backed away, but then the thing started to stir and rise upward. As it positioned itself, Erebus looked on with a cocked eyebrow and lowered his scythe. The beast unwinded itself, revealing quite a few number of heads as they all glared at him. It was a towering brute that looked like a hydra, but it had those annoying flowers on its heads. Its appearance irked him even further. “Don’t you darelook at me like that. You should feel honored to have me grace your lowly presence and this disgusting area”, he shouted back. The hydra responded in kind with a bellowing roar, one that forced Erebus into a defensive stance and pushed several feet away. Whatever this thing was, it was strong, ferocious and powerful. He looked at it again, smirking and a new idea rose from his brilliant mind. As one of the heads came down to take a bit from him, Erebus leaped up and land on its neck. While the others tried to pursue him, he ran down until he was at the base of the neck and straddled onto it.

“I am your master now! Obey me!”  His legs squeezed tightly around it as he slapped the back of the beast and it tried to buck him off. Oh, it would learn soon enough that he would get what he wanted, one way or another as he hung on as much as he could as the earth trembled with its futile attempts of ridding itself of him. “Knock that off, and obey your master!”, he said again, slapping it even harder.

Jago Fleetfoot

Character Info
Name: Jago Fleetfoot
Age: 64
Alignment: CG
Race: Halfling
Gender: Male
Class: Wizard
Silver: 0
Jago found his way to Horae Island easily enough. The Mother had arranged for airships to take passengers to and from the place she had shrouded. He was the last to disembark the airship, there were two reasons for this. The first was that he had never actually been on an airship before and so he wanted to get the most out of it. The second was that he was a Halfling, being 3’6 didn’t make it very easy to push your way through a crowd. Instead, he pulled a pipe from under his red cloak and made his way slowly off the ship into the Terra section.

He smoked as he walked, he wasn’t sure of how much he had walked, or how much he had smoked for that matter, by the time he reached the sea of wildflowers. A lot of them grew high above his head, so as a precaution he put on his wizards hat to give him extra height. It was hard going pushing through the flowers until he came to a place where all the flowers were growing back. He spotted a man, fighting what looked like a flower headed hydra.

Jago took of his hat, and cast his mossy green eyes towards the man wrestling for control of the hydra. “Get down from there! Show some respect!” Jago boomed out, his voice sounded a lot bigger than it should. The Red wizard stood there, barely breaking the flower line, his shaggy black hair tided behind his head, his mages staff in hand. He didn’t look very intimidating.

Moliira

Character Info
Name: Moliira
Age: Old
Alignment: CN
Race: Drow/Lycan
Gender: Female
Class: Huntress
Silver: 1905
[Hope you boys don't mind me dropping in!]

When news of the island had reached her ears, Moliira knew that the boys would want to visit.  They were old enough now that she could let them out of her sight for awhile, and she watched them go with a sad smile.  Their wolf blood made them grow up faster, and they were approximately twelve in human years.  It was a struggled, but Moliira turned her back and headed where she could smell wildflowers growing.

It didn't take long for the peace of the place to be broken, and for shouting to come to her ears.  Rolling her eyes, Moliira smiled and chuckled to herself.  There were some things that never changed.  The sight that met her eyes was not what she expected.  Some manner of hydra was having what looked to be a fit, and once she spied the man on its back, Moliira understood.  There were some creatures that simply were not meant to be tamed.

Then the halfling's voice joined the strange, almost windy bellowing of the hydra and the man's voice shouting abuse at it.  The drow just shook her head and sketched a quick bow to the halfling.  It was a means of showing that she meant no harm, even though the fact she was drow might just do that regardless.  "Some people have no respect for anything.  I think he will have quite the fight if he expects the beast to submit easily.  My name's Moliira," she said with a grin.  Her manner of dress reflected her nature as a ranger, and a slender blade rested on each hip.  One glimmered with a silver-blue light, while the other seemed to swallow the light around it.  All in all, the drow looked relaxed, but someone who could become very dangerous in a moment.

[OOC: Sorry about the wait, someone was suppose to join the thread but guess they were unable to do so]

It was already a difficult task in of itself with this brute not bothering to listen to its superior. Regardless of how hard it tried to free itself of his clutches, it was obvious that Erebus wasn’t going anyway. Not until the beast was broken and under his rightful control. “Oh hush up!|, he spat at it, giving it a third whack on its neck through the scowls and growls of it. It was quite strong and it made for an impressive creature, fitting of someone of his stature. All that was required now was for its obedience to him, which may have proven a bit more harder than he had originally thought.

Despite the minor setback, he would make it yield. He continued to hold tightly while it kept trying to buck him off, making the earth tremble greatly with each of its hops. Had he been an average person, a flawed and weak individual, then surely he would fell off it and likely got trembled, but he was like a flea that was hard to get rid of in this scenario. The only good thing he could see from its continued resisting was that it was stomping and causing a wreck among the pretty little flowers.

Unfortunately they were like weeds, growing as quickly as they were being killed, which greatly angered him. What made matters worse was an audience was growing around him- two people of vastly different races popped out of nowhere. The first was a man that was half Erebus’s height who commanded him to get off the creature. Command?Who in the world did this lowly man think he was talking to? He had half a mind to hop down onto the ground and proceed to stomp him down a few notches. “Follow your own words then! This matter doesn’t warrant your presence, pipsqueak. Then a woman showed up, and it was rather easy for him to tell that she was of the drow variety. She thought her snide remarks were clever, but he was already been experiencing the struggle long before she showed up, and he didn’t require her hindsight.

“Gods, will you people leave me be! Go save some trees from being cut down or something!” His temper was getting the best of him, and it was only rising with the annoyance that these two and this thing was giving him. A thought popped up in his head at that moment, one that brought up a cheshire cat's grin clearly across his face. If they wanted the beast save, then so be it. But he wanted to see them giving the hydra the respect that it was supposedly deserved when it sought to focus its aggression on them. Releasing his grip, he fell onto the ground below and started to invade its mind. Soon the beast found itself dazed and confused as he backed up enough to stay out of its view. Looking all around, its heads started to see images of the troublemaker everywhere, including those that had insisted on pestering the devil. Roaring defiantly, it begun to go on a rampage, attacking everything around it. “There. I let it loose now.” he spoke with a sinfully grin. “Just like you wanted.

Perhaps after it was done with them, then he could continue to tame it in peace.
