Angela turned them to face each other as the small ceremony started, and the feeling in his whole being still was not calmed. The anxiousness of it all made his stomach turn and yet at the same time he was the happiest that he had ever had been. Never once in his life did he imagine this moment coming to truth, yet here he was with the woman who he fell for and the same who carried their son in her. In the back of his mind, he thought it all to be a dream, yet he knew this was not the case.

Angela’s words rang throughout him, yet he was once again lost in Kalyani’s gaze. She was probably the only person in the world who he would succumb just by looking into those golden eyes of hers. He only broke the gaze to look down quickly at the red heartstring the tied their hands together, a nice touch for the goddess of love, and he squeezed her hand gently as a soft smile came across his face as he looked up again at his bride. The small ceremony they were having was coming to an end as Angela gave her final wishes to the two. He nodded, Angela was indeed family to him and not just the bond of the conclave, for she had helped him in so many ways that he couldn’t begin to think her. Yet the final piece had not fallen into place.

”You need not tell me twice on that.”

He got in as close as he could and leaned over bringing his free hand up to cup her cheek. He paused for a moment just to look into her eyes again before kissing her passionately. They were now joined as man and wife. They broke the kiss momentarily, “I love you too,” he replied softly as he returned her kiss. It was in this moment that he had totally forgotten that Angela was there with them until she spoke up again. The Mother disappeared before he managed to reply to her. ”Does she honestly believe that I can control you?” He laughed teasing his new wife. ”It may have been the most ridiculous ceremony..but it was perfect to me.”

He brought down his hand and rested it on Kalyani’s stomach, waiting to feel the kick of their son once again, as their other hands were still intertwined with each other. ”A family of my own never thought this would be a part of my story.” A bigger smile crossed his face as he felt the kick of their son. Now they just had to wait for him to make his way to the world. He had thought about a name for a while. ”How about Vale for the name?” It was the name that stood out the most to him of all the thoughts.

“Angela is a smart woman… So probably not.” Kalyani laughed a bit as Zanar joked about. “It was perfect for us, I think. Fits just right with the rest of our crazy life we’ve built together.” The mother to be watched as the god felt his son kick and chuckled at his grin. “Trust me I never thought I would find someone who would put up with me either.”

He threw her off with the name suddenly but she thought about it. A deep concentrated look appeared across her face as she mulled it over. Her eyes rolled from left to right several times as she chewed on her lip. This continued for a few minutes before she chuckled and smirked. “I like Vale very much… and I think he does too.” Vale was now very active under his father’s hand and she chuckled some more.

Their family life leading up to the day Vale decided to come was full of anxiety and stress. Mainly it was all thanks to Kalyani and her untimely desires or mood swings. She tried to make sure she didn’t take it out on the temple residents but every once in a while she found herself exploding on someone or something. Most of them seemed to understand for the most part that she couldn’t very well help it. Though for their sanity they didn’t realize she could be like that when she wasn’t pregnant.

Angela showed up in the afternoon once Kalyani was in labor and walked Zanar and her through everything. As long as Zanar wasn’t a nervous wreck he was allowed to be in their bedroom witnessing the birth of his son. The first sign of pacing or flat-out panic was when Angela put her foot down and would throw him out of the room to make him wait there. The goddess gave Kalyani a bit of help making the delivery go by quickly as Vale was brought into the world with a set of fierce lungs that would make a warrior proud.

The Mother washed and wrapped him up in a blanket before handing him off to Zanar for the very first time. “Kalyani can hold him in a minute but do be careful with him. He is a very delicate little thing.” Angela set to mending Kalyani who was exhausted despite the quick birth. Sweat was rolling down her and Angela helped put her hair up off of her neck as Kalyani was propped up against the headboard of the bed with a few pillows.

“Lemme see him,” Kalyani’s voice was oddly tame as she sounded a bit desperate not that Angela blamed her one bit. “At least bring him over here so I can look.” Her amber eyes were lulling from the exhaustion but she seemed more wired once she realized she could finally hold him in her arms.
