Within the walls of Onnen’s greatest city lies a grand celebration where all tribes of the land come to observe the skyfish’s annual migration across the skies. A wide grassy area has been cleared to make way for colorful tents and blankets beneath the sky. The smell of charcoal and grilled meat lingers in the air while brightly patterned kites fly above. Many cultures hold the skyfish as a symbol of filial piety, as they always return to their place of birth year after year. Great swarms of the creatures can be seen from the ground, flashing their eel-like bodies and iridescent wings as they dart through the winds.

Due to their elusive nature despite being a commonly found species, cooked skyfish has become a delicacy across many regions. Traditional fishing methods of these magical flyers vary from place to place, the most widely known using kites attached to fishing rods designed to chase or lure the skyfish into traps. Those who are more bold can try to catch them in the air on flying mounts.

A great fire pit where the caught skyfish are cooked is the center of the festivities. Tents where merchants and craftsmen hawk their wares come in every color of the rainbow. There are even special crafts made from the harvested skyfish themselves. This is one of the few times where the majority of Onnen comes together just to enjoy the wonders of life.
