The strife of the deities was of their own business; however, the world’s was a different matter. As much as he would have preferred to keep out of this, he had a young son that barely experienced a faction of this realm and he’d be damned if it would be taken from him. The calling of the gods reached his home second handedly; there were plenty of Canelux sailors that were talking about such things at the tavern in Kurayo and before he knew it, Nemesis was among this Ziggurat all this buzz was about. Something about a great, ancient evil, or something along those lines. He couldn’t recall all the details, but he wouldn’t be too bothered. His crimson eyes bore around the settings, seeing that most of the paths but one were blocked by various hazards of the sea.

This couldn’t be made easily, now could it?

With a short sigh, the vaewolf entered the only remaining path that was clear to enter. “Wasn’t there supposed to be a reason for only one to be entered…?” He pondered softly to himself before shrugging and looked around the inside. It was a rather large room with long switched that stood opposite of one another; one to the far left and far right. Ahead of him was the doors to the next room, he assumes. As soon he as stepped onto one of the tiles of the floor, it lite up green. Stepping away, Nemesis slowly stepped back onto it and moved forward onto the next tile. It too turned green and then the next step forward was green again.

Was there a point to this?

The fourth step turned the next tile red but nothing happened. The vaewolf stepped forward again and a spike shot up, and he backed up, it barely missed him, but he received a good cut across the cheek. Had he stepped through it completely, then he would have ended up dead. The spike retracted and now had what seemed to be an icon over its tile, as well as those that were adjacent to it. Nemesis wiped off the dripping blood from his face and started heading backward before trying to find a path around these traps. Whenever he came across a red tile, he would carefully tap at the surrounding tiles, looking to see when he would come across green tiles or spike tiles.

“How is this suppose to save the realm again?”, he swore under his breath as he trekked around, basically tiptoeing so that he didn’t get kebabbed. Eventually, he made it over to the left switch and pulled. A rattling sound could be heard from the distance, but the doors didn’t budge. He looked to the second switch and sighed before he headed back down the path he made safely and did the same towards the right switch. When he was able to pull that one, the same result occurred sadly. For moments, he was stumped as to which switch he needed before coming to a dreadful realization with the spacing as well as the traps that covered the ground.

Both switches would be needed to be pulled down…at the same time.
