Orion Delightus

Character Info
Name: Orion Delightus
Age: 24
Alignment: CG
Race: Elven
Gender: Male
Class: Witch Hunter
Silver: 187
The trading city of Srendnyimor. For Orion the island felt like it was the best place to get hold of good equipment. A broadsword and enhancing magic was good but that is not enough to take on Agatha. Her powers and strength come from all those she drained. To match that Orion needed to grow in power. But thanks to the curse she put onto him, growing stronger was impossible. Just to stay in good condition he has to drain the essence of other living things. Taking from plants and wildlife did not provide enough, if anything it only bought time. Perhaps draining an intelligent being would provide much more but that's simply wrong to do. At least draining isn't the only way to get stronger. It was still possible to get better equipment and even try to gain some allies to help out. This neutral city might have everything Orion needs but the real question was how to find it all and get hold of it.

It's the afternoon and the streets were busy. The first order of business was to find some magic resistant armor, at the very least, a resistant cloak. Before entering the crowd Orion made sure to secure his coin purse and decided to keep it out of sight, covered by his normal cloak. He cautiously walked in and noticed the unknown languages that were spoken here and there. He could only hope that when it came to talking to someone they would at least know the world wide language. Orion had also noticed that he did draw some attention, which made him feel uncomfortable. Anyone who could detect magic would be able to see the dark curse within him. How they might react to it is unknown however Orion felt the need to be on guard.

So far there was no incident but the main problem was that he still haven't found what he was looking for. He thought he could find what he needed on his own but then again he didn't know the city in the inside. Perhaps he should have asked around. It was too late for that now. The closing time was soon, the chances of finding anything now was low. He was just going to have to try again tomorrow. Although it might be difficult, today was tiring and he knows he can't recover much strength by resting. The idea of draining someone around came to mind. There are many living here and all he need is a little bit of their strength. They'll be able to recover as long as he stays reasonable. However it would still be completely wrong to do.

Orion decided to go to a nearby Inn and entered it. At this time of day many were having their meals and having drinks. His entrance didn't draw in much attention. He walked while observing everyone before sitting down at a free table. He wasn't too sure if someone would come to serve him or not but he remained patient and decided to wait. As he waited he continued to watch the lively people having quite a fun time. He wondered if there were any rooms available. He'll check that later. For now having something good to eat was on him mind.

Calypso found herself in awe, shocked at the elf that had quietly slipped into the inn. She watched as he hesitated; sat, and mulled over things. However, Calypso could sense powerful dark magic radiating from him, stronger than any dark magic she'd encountered. That she remembered, anyway.
I must be going insane, she thought. However, there was only one way to find out if this elf truly had powerful magic in his possession. She slipped her tarot deck from inside her cloak and proceeded to shuffle them, chanting quietly as she did so. A few of the men at the bar shot her dirty looks; however they were far too drunk to take action, instead turning away their flushed faces in disgust.
Laying three cards on the table, she deftly flipped them up with a finger. Four of Swords, Seven of Swords, Nine of Swords.
A curse is the only way to explain this, Calypso concluded. She quickly packed up her deck, pulled out two Joss sticks and lit them using a weak version of her Fireball spell. She placed the sticks delicately between her lips, as if smoking. The smoke drifting from the burning sticks turned a hazy purple. She clouded herself in the smoke, unableing any onlookers to see her definite appearance. She, however, carefully surveyed the actions of the elf man…
