The caravan was filled with the presence of the dead and it was something that struck fear into those too weak or ignorant to understand it. Although he didn't fully understood himself, Nemesis at least knew that death was something all feared. The lowly peasants prayed to their lords and gods to keep them living long lives while those of the courts sought out anything they could to extent their lives and cheat death. Even the gods and their immortality wouldn't last forever and eventually they would all crumble up into dust as well. He himself feared it and yet knew that it was unavoidable. All roads, no matter how decent or immoral, led down to the same path at the end. Naught but despair and ruin for their spirits, to be jumbled forever in a void of darkness that awaited for its next shipment of souls. Those that were not yet ready for such a truth lingered as they did now here, becoming the attractions that lured the crowds out here but eventually they too would meet with the final destination. Simply trying to outrun it only prolonged the fate as far as he was concerned. Lifting his hood up, he calmly worked over towards the cages of vicious and demonic cats.

Most of them lazily lounged about, barely paying him any mind except for one that prowled over towards him, softly growling. Looking it in the eyes, he tilted his head and reached into the cage which the expected response of it hissing at the incoming hand. It didn't deter him from extending it further and as it came closer, the cat quieted down and stood by as he stroked at the side of its face. The pauper continued to caress it until it walked away. He too grew weary of the encounter and wished to find something that would bring some sort of entertain this eve. Something beyond the ghost, the collection of animals and the little games spread throughout the caravan. 

This new world was still so very strange to her, but Ynnarah still found things to enjoy.  The news of a haunted carnival sounded like something very interesting, and she went to investigate almost straight away.  After leaving a note for her mother and aunt of course.  After her scare from leaving Daeluin, Ynnarah didn't want to take any chances on anyone not knowing where she was going.  Ghosts didn't frighten her all that much, especially after dealing with starsongs.  They had taught her that there was so much more beyond just this world. 

Wandering, she found herself drawn to a section where strange animals were kept in cages.  She couldn't quite figure out just how some of them were kept in the cages, but Ynnarah figured magic was part of the answer.  Watching a stranger offer his hand into one of the cages.  Holding her breath, Ynnarah watched as the stranger pet the feline creature.  "Oh, how did you manage that?  None of the cats seem to like anyone," she asked, unable to stop herself from speaking.  perhaps it wouldn't hurt to make some new friends in this world too.
