Weapons of Choice: He uses the weapons of whichever unit he is assigned to. He has some basic skill with a bow, sword, shield, and spear. Nothing fancy with any of them. He prefers using a longbow over a crossbow. He prefers using a sword and shield over a spear.

Armor of choice: He just got himself a full set of leather armor, after going without for so long. Along with this he wears the crimson cloak of the Crimson King mercenary company.

Magical Abilities: Absolutely nothing. He is as vanilla as humans come.

Special Techniques: He can swing a sword and fire a bow, but he is nothing special with either. A simple mercenary.

Backstory: He was an Adeluna City Guard for ten years before the insect invasion. Hearing about the struggle on the West coast, he couldn't wait around for the insects to reach his city. He signed on with a mercenary company and went straight to where he felt he could do some good. Since then he has served as a scout, as a pikeman and is currently assigned as a man-at-arms.

Relations: He has no living relatives to speak of, but he is currently contracted with the Crimson King mercenary company.
This company is currently led by Ormund Starfall, a captain in the Crimson King company. He is a centaur (knight follower + warhorse) and a skilled veteran. His hair and horse-coat (?) are the same dark brown, as are his eyes. He has many scars, and stories about all of them. He cares deeply for the men under his command.
The company currently consists of two units of bowmen/scouts, a unit of men-at-arms, a unit of pikemen, a unit of mounted knights, and a unit of battle mages. Along with this they have their support personnel. Nobody knows who the Crimson King is, but he is the one funding this outfit. There are said to be a few other companies under his command.

Vehicles: Cart to carry supplies.

A crystalline gemstone, comes in a very large hue of colors to pick from.

Insect Wing

Taken from a dead insect, different insect wings have different uses.

Rainbow Wool

A soft and fluffy tuft of wool from a sheared papel. It is a prized material for weavers as the color remains vibrant after continuous washes.

Blood Ingot

Made from a strange biological ore that is native to Onnen, dragon crimsonite or blood ingot is formed by compressing ash from the Ashlands of that continent with sap from high dragon blood trees - a species of dragon blood trees that form and spread after a regular tree has been exposed to a drop of dragon's blood. When forged into armor, the ore is far tougher than leather, but not to the point of overtaking old-fashioned plate. It is a druid's best friend up until they can acquire a proper witchwood or dragonscale set.

Nickel Ore

A piece of nickel ore. Not very useful now, but maybe it can be combined with other things?

Ammolite

Ammolite is a very ancient gemstone made from fossilized shells. It has an opal like appearance making it highly sought after.

Rose Hip

The beginnings of a rose, this rose hip is an exceptionally healthy specimen. It can either be planted or ground up for herbalism purposes.

Corundum

A semi-precious gemstone used to craft other things. Rubies and sapphires are in the corundum family as well as many others. Often corundum is called by its color and not its real name.

Dryad Bark

A rare form of bark that forest nymphs shed in secret groves during the first days of Venti every year. The bark looks remarkably like skin, and has a strong, earthy scent capable of overwhelming more sensitive noses.

Tenebris Amulet

This talisman absorbs the person's rage and violent tendencies and stores it in the blood red gem at its center, and replaces it with Euphoria and Warmth. When it becomes full, the crystal cracks and the violence and fury is released back on the person, creating a sort of Jekyll and Hyde moment in the wearer.

Sun's Kiss

A lightweight silver shield accented in black tourmaline. Will absorb any magickal attack when used, and reflect out a short burst of near blinding light magick to give the shielder time to prepare their own returning attack (or flee!).
This is an Event Prize for Naota's 2017 Event Renaissance of Lumos.

Blade of Ouroboros

A blade that requires the blood of its victim to work. If blood is consumed by the blade, the victim will lose control of the alignment of their actions for a set period of time.

Cursed Khopesh

Infused with the same unholy power that buried the City of Asyut, these blades can cause mummy rot when a wound is inflicted by the blade. This mummy rot can be healed by magic, or will clear up naturally after about 24 hours depending upon the severity of the injury.

Leather Vambraces

Reinforced leather armguards, they provide protection without sacrificing flexibility.

Leather Pauldrons

Pauldrons made of cured leather, with spiked decor.

Leather Leggings

Leg armor made of leather, it offers protection without limiting mobility.

Protection for the neck area made of leather.

Backpack

A hardy pack, with two straps that allow it to be worn on one's back. It's ideal for carrying supplies while on the move.

Common Tunic

A simple garment which might resemble a long shirt that stops somewhere between the wearer's hips and ankles. The sleeves may be long or short, depending on the local climate.

Dagger

A short, bladed weapon with a sharp point. Can be used to slash or pierce an enemy.

Gloves

Meant to be worn on the hands, these gloves are sturdy and warm.

Hunting Bow

A simple crafted bow for hunting tonight's dinner. Not overly suitable for combat.

Whetstone

Used to sharpen objects.

Round Shield

A circular shield of good quality and strength. Typically paired with a one-handed weapon to give the user a balance of offense and defense.

Skirmishers

Armed with a bow, sling or crossbow, and a small melee weapon, their purpose is to scout and harry the enemy. They also wear light armor.

Men at Arms

Professional soldiers armed with a sword and shield, as well as armor, they generally fight on foot.

A sweet hat. It even has a feather in it!

Overcoat

A heavy outer garment, this overcoat offers excellent protection from the elements.

Blanket

A thick, woolen blanket, perfect for keeping a person warm.

Canteen

A container typically used to hold drinking water.

Tent

A basic shelter, consisting of a large sheet of fabric of animal skin, placed over a frame. A tent provides basic protection from the elements while away from home.

Crossbow

This simple, yet powerful weapon allows the wielder to shoot a bolt at an enemy. While crossbows take longer to reload than traditional bows, very little training is required to effectively use a crossbow.

Pikemen

Better armed and trained than spearmen, they often make up the backbones of armies.

Support

The cooks, healers, squires, camp followers, and the many others that are essential to supporting the army, and keep it on the march.

Mounted Knights

Armed with a lance, sword and shield, and armor, these units are the most heavily armored units and can crush their enemies with ease. However, they are expensive to maintain.

Battle Mages

Clad in the lightest of armor, these mages are accustomed to fighting in the chaos of a battlefield. They can flood the battlefield with elemental chaos.

Each battle-mage unit specializes in a single element and combat only magic. They also can't cast epic or summon spells, so choose wisely.
