Parvpora had gone mental within the last few days, filled with people ranting about their useless magic or gushing over Angela’s pregnancy. All of the chatter had led to many strangers approaching Evridiki just to talk about the events with someone new. The entire situation was annoying, and all she wanted was a bit of peace. Luckily, she knew exactly where to find some quiet, which was precisely why she took the job near Zets’Ki hunting down poachers. Despite the beating down of selfish picks who thought of angels as mere items being somewhat therapeutic, it also served as a sort of meditative process. Honestly, it was fairly relaxing. However, her hopes were shattered as she saw half-angels furiously arguing with each other over their tainted magicks. Some had strangely formed wings, no wings at all, or had even gained a few more bird-like attributes. Meanwhile, others were fighting over one particular spell causing the alcohol in ale to mysteriously disappear. With a groan, Evri entered the city to gather information. Getting anyone to talk about anything other than the giant Rabbit in the middle of town was going to be a problem, though. Evri briefly looked up from examining her sword and laid eyes on the huge spectral beast sniffing the roads, surrounded by swarms of angels shooing it away. “Holy hell on Revaliir,” she whispered, staring at the thing with shock before deciding to take out her aggression on it. “Stupid vermin!” she shouted (not completely at the bunny), shoving her way through the crowd and aiming a fist at the rabbit. “Maelpereji!” The incantation flowed as smoothly as ever, but the spell itself went awry. Instead of a stream of fire, colorful puffs of smoke shot out from her hand with such force that she stumbled backwards, staring at the rainbow of streaks that now swirled around the bunny. “Dammit to hell!” Her frustrated grunts turned into more decorative swears the more she struggled with her non-responsive magic, and she eventually found herself lying on her back, wings splayed out in defeat and utter humiliation at her lack of self-control.
