There was a soft tinkling in the air as the beginning hints of snow began to form in the high up altitude of the Zets'Ki Cradle. It was a brisk but beautiful glaciem evening, and it was a night for a celebration. Drae was looking as sharp as ever, dressed to the nines for a serious night of feasting and dancing. It was a needed break from work and the world, and he was ready for it.

It was quiet save it for the lively music coming from the Celestial Hall where the the festivities were taking place. Drae glanced at his lovely wife who he was escorting. She looked absolutely lovely, as always, but her radiance in the glaciem light was was rather different than when she was wrapped in the luminance of Igni and Terra.

"It's been a while since we've been to a celebration like this," he mused as they walked to join those that were entering the party. "Last that I can really recall was Rohan's christening party," he chuckled. "Though surely there must have been on since then."

The coldness of Zets’Ki Cradle would have bothered the Goddess if it wasn’t for the divine blood running hot through her veins. The sky was drizzling unique snowflakes down upon the guests of the cathedral almost laying a red carpet of sorts for them to step across. Flakes would once in a while hit her skin melting down her sun-kissed tone. The marvel of the cradle was enough for her to ignore how wet she might become from the weather.

The Mother was always dressed in her best but when it came to balls she was particularly fussy about what she would wear. Her wildfire hair was pinned up on this eve with dark gemstones of purple and blue scattered throughout. Her dress was finely crafted and in a multitude of different hues of purple and blue. The dress was strapless save for the unattached sleeve-like accessories on the side. It was slit up the top so the long fabric of the midnight blue colored fabric could fall down her arms without being much of a bother as they flowed all the way to the ground fading from blue to white and finally to a darker purple compared to the silk. The top of the sleeve was adorned with discs of gold helping hold them up against her upper arm. The bodice of the dress was the same midnight blue the fabric was thin and allowed one to see the soft purple silk underneath. The top of the bodice was shaped like the tip of a teardrop as it connected to a gold choker about her neck. Along the top of the bodice were large blue gemstones on teardrop-shaped gold patches. Hanging down the cleavage was a diamond shaped gold patch with a dangling blue sphere.

Around the waist of the dress was a whimsical gold belt adorned with the blue gemstones. Hanging off the middle of the belt was another gold teardrop with a blue gemstone this time ending with a pendulum blue gem dangling down the skirt. The blue fabric cascaded down off the sides as the purple silk was made the focal piece of the skirt.

Her green eyes looked up at her husband and she gave him a smirk in response. She could feel him looking over every inch of her. “I would say I’ve had many celebrations but you haven’t quite been there with me to all of them. The last major celebration we attended was Nerezza’s wedding but your head was still in the clouds from the ascension. I don’t fault you for not remembering and Rohan was a big milestone in our lives after all.” She leaned up and pressed her colored lips to his cheek.

“We also went to the festival at the Hanging Gardens. Surely you remember that it was just before Nerezza’s wedding.” She chuckled a tad more as she looked around the ballroom. “This is a beautiful place indeed.” She pulled him to where others were dancing and got his feet in line. “Divinity has done nothing for your dancing skills, my love.” She teased him softly.

“I would imagine that many of our friends and such will be here tonight. After all, it is not often we celebrate those who have come before us in such a manner.” That was putting it lightly since Reverie was rumored to have become the world itself.

She was breathtaking as per usual. She never ceased to amaze him. The hours he had watched her getting primped for this evening was definitely worth it. He himself had taken significantly less time to get ready. For once his hair was completely down and oiled to a raven perfection. A sapphire hued tunic over a pressed white shirt, with an enchanted cloak of snowflakes. He figured it would match the environment and make the fashion statement he wanted.

"Oh right, the festival," Drae chuckled. He remembered now. Angela was right, his mind had been fogged by the sudden influx of understanding and magic that it had left him feeling quite intoxicated. "But there are a lot of those, so they all kind of blend together. And I don't consider festivals the same way one might consider a ball like this," he pointed out. "Nerezza's wedding, however, don't know how I forgot about that one," he chuckled.

He glanced up and around at the ballroom that made him feel as though he was standing among the stars. The only place he had felt closer was in his Occulus, but this was a close second. The craftsmanship was remarkable, and he wondered where the sheer amount of precious stone had come from to create this place. Then he was reminded of Arri's opulence, and much of the curiosity was abated, even more so by Angela pulling him into a waltz position and making fun of his initial goofy-footedness.

"I'll have you know that my dancing skills are impeccable," he said with a smirk. "You'd know if you'd let me lead every once in a while," he jabbed at her playfully as he whisked her across the mirror-like floor.
"If they aren't here, they are going to be missing one hell of a party," he laughed. "I figure we'll be seeing those who make home here in Parvpora, since the ball is more or less in our courts," he chuckled.
