Jayou was a sight to behold and even more so was nightlife style. While the surface world looked marvelous to the eyes, Sora had other plans when it came to its well-known gambling reputation. Much of what was allowed was child’s play- she wanted the high risks, high reward situations and she had dragged Tsuki with her. Needless to say that while she was at the tables, rolling the dice away, her sister was less than enthused as she watched Sora act like a bumbling fool while discreetly charming the dealers. It didn’t help that she was also wearing such tacky attire in the form of a low cut corset and trousers that seemed just a bit too tight for her. Tsuki, on the other hand, was dressed in her Kimoto and was being rather reserved as always. She watched from the side, with an annoyed look written clearly on her face as Sora continued to flirt and gamble away with her money like there was no tomorrow.

“Come on, lucky seven!”, Sora called out happily and blew onto her dice before letting them roll onto the table before sure enough, she got what she sought as one die rolled into a three, and the other was a four. “Woohoo!” She eagerly took her winnings while her sister shook her head. She had been “winning” for at least the last hour and she could that those around them, who previously had been cheering her on which her “miraculous” luck was starting to get wise about what was going on. Sure enough in time, they would be sure that she was cheating somehow. All of them except for the dealers, who she’d probably get to deny the claims and silence them.

“Can we please go?”, she sighed, crossing her arms as her sister rolled again, and getting another lucky roll. “We can play something else, or better yet, leave now.”

“Pfft, why would I want to leave? I’m on a roll!”, Sora said, half complaining and voluntarily ignoring the other people as she blew on her dice again and was about to roll when the white kitsune caught the dice in mid-throw. “Hey!”

“You fool, we are leaving…now.” Tsuki looked at her with an all too serious look, making Sora return a look of her own- her cheeks were filled with air and she stared angrily at her before pushing herself away from the table. “Miss…”, the dealer said with an air of infatuation, “Don’t forget, you have to pay for that last roll, darling.” Sora shot him a look before suddenly he gripped at his head, complaining about a pain that felt like a spike being driven through his head before he collapsed onto the floor and continued to writhe in pain while she calmly collected her winnings. “Fine. Let’s play something else.” The crowd around them moved out of their way as the two left the table and before long, she started in on her vices once again and this time she was on the hunt for a game of poker.

“Not again”, she said, holding her hand against her face as the black kitsune looked around the tables eagerly.

If the ceiling to this place opened up to the night sky, things would certainly be much more relaxing. While luck fluctuated in the air, granting hopes and dreams to some while stealing away from others, the mix of excitement and disappointment intermixed into a surprisingly tranquil setting for the fae, who stood on her chair to reach the tabletop where her cards resided along with a fine glass of rose wine. All that remained was the challenge of mystery that resided before her as the folks around her began to throw in their cards, the last hand finishing up and the rewards being distributed to the one who was blessed by that hand before a new set was delivered.

With new cards in tow, the fae collected them up before half-lifting them, to see a three of a kind resting upon them and two others. A good hand, indeed, yet there was always the chance of it being better. Her hands separated the cards into two piles, passing the smaller stack of randoms to the dealer while keeping on her side the three of a kind. Her return was well-blessed, indeed as the return transformed her hand from three to four of a kind. A strong raise can easily be in order here, she mentally smirked as she waited for the dealer to finish exchanges before the pot could be added to.

On both sides of her, the seats rested quiet and empty, easy inviting those who dared their luck to the mystery of the cards themselves…

Sore loved both the freedom from her duties and the risks that this environment provided. She wasn’t ignorant of what could occur should decisions like hers were found out by the “authorities” of this establishment. Debts and cheating led to unfortunate incidents with the worse being death. But what fun would it be if she simply avoided it? While her sister was far more level-headed and didn’t wish to be here, Sora knew that Tsuki was the boring one, after all, she was the younger twin. She just didn’t know how to have some fun every once in a while. But if one was to ask Tsuki what Sora’s definition was of “every once in a while”, it would be every chance she could get.

After weaving through the rows of tables occupied with high rollers and daredevils, the pair moved onto a table that seemed nigh empty. Aside from the dealer, it looked like there was also another woman. The kitsune’s lips formed a small, sly smile when she spotted her- not too many females were out and about in these parts without a companion and it looked like she could hold her own too.

“Come now, sister. How long are we going to keep with this charade?”, Tsuki said, sipping on her mug of honey mead. But her sister completely ignored her as she took the seat to the left of the other woman and drummed her fingers twice against the tabletop. The dealer passed cards to her and she observed them with care. “The night’s still young and plenty of fun to had. Good luck”, she wished her as she looked upon the pair of jacks, a six, a three and a queen. For the time being, Sora would keep from cheating; a few fair hands should be enough to lure her into a false sense of security before she struck like a viper. She passed the three and six and got in return another queen and a seven. A two pair, not a terrible hand at least to start. With that, her hands slid a good portion of chips over to the pot. “Shall we continue and see what lady luck has for us?”, she asked ever so sweetly but only her sister would know what sort of ruthless little schemer she could be when she put her mind to it. If only she’d apply this logic to her duties…
