A visit to Vilpamolan used to be one of unexpected delight but now it's flavor had slightly soured thanks to the introduction of the second entity.

Before, Amé had delighted in joining in with the not so nice part of society. Where a game of cards became a game of who could cheat the most while drinking hard and talking about your current adventures. The conversation often tipped into your favor if your loot was more spectacular than the person you were playing. If it didn't then you needed to be ready for a fight and hope to god you had men at your back or you were in for a damn rough night.

The Half-Barbarian used to love that. But now she had to battle herself and that just made her grumpy.

Are we not better than this? These people are scum and need be taught honor, a lesson and shown basic hygiene. This is no place for us.

Such thoughts were just irritating and it spoiled the atmosphere for her. Amé was glad her men would not be re-joining her until tomorrow morning because they certainly would have noticed her mood. With a sigh, Amé found herself thinking of a counter response.

I'm not better than this no. You might have been back where you're from but here I am a barbarian born warrior and in need of a job. Here is a place where people exchange information for information. Get off your high horse and join me in the dirt. We aren't the paladin you think we are. We're just a lowly mercenary trying to get by.

With a roll of her eyes, Amé pushed the door open to a tavern marked with a sigil known to belong to the mercenaries. If you entered this place without the proper sigil yourself you were in trouble. It was a safe haven for those in Amé's line of work and was the perfect place to go if you were between jobs.

As she reached the bar to order a drink she flashed her sign to the barman to show she belonged. He barely batted an eye as he poured her drink and took her money. Next she took a seat by a window to watch the sun set behind the backdrop of a beautiful but scum filled town.
