The brothers were given their orders by Reaver as soon as word arrived at the church to open the doors for any seeking salvation. Of course their head priest, reluctantly, told them to make records of their refugees for later use. Isaiah took it to heart and they starting sheltering the worried population with many of them seemingly devoid of any true motivation or heart. It was unfathomable to understand from a mortal’s perspective how in the name of the realm that something was literally trying to suck the goddess Angela dry of her spheres. He made sure that Elijah worked alongside him and not wander off to his own vices. Their clergy members worked day and night to make sure that their guests were taken care off and Elijah was growing bored by the second day. Being underneath his younger brother’s thumb was bad enough, but having to work tirelessly in addition to it was a bother.

While there were some good lookers in the crowd, the women just seemed like zombies especially when he tried to flirt them. They didn’t seem to respond at all or merely gave him a side glance before caring on their merry way. Gods, he wished that this epidemic would be solved soon otherwise how was he suppose to have any fun? It, of course, annoyed Isaiah to see where his priorities were and had him watch over the west wing of the church where he couldn’t cause a lot of trouble. For the next few days, Elijah made his rounds there, overseeing that no one was up to anything bad, not that most even seem to have a mindset for it. But occasionally he would throw out those trying to swipe some valuables or starting fights with one another. To him, it didn’t make much sense since they’d probably be coming right back to the church, albeit lifeless.

Today didn’t seem to be anything more special, other than some little runts going around and making too much noise. He quieted them down with the threat of no supper and they easily settled down. Whether his brother would have agreed with his tactics was questionable, but he didn’t have the impatience for this right now to care. While walking down the hall, he managed to sneak a drink from his private flask when the coast looked clear before finishing his rounds. The place was eerily quiet for his comfort but other than that, all was well.
