Serci eyed the newcomer with a sense of apprehension. Angela did mention some hired help, however, failed to mention the… half of help, to put it mildly. The rather handsome man, aside from the offputting tattoo, was one armed. Which was unfortunate, but made no sense for the newcomer to be an escort. How would he lift? How would he fight? Serci wanted to dismiss the man, calling out the ploy before it was started, however, Angela would be upset if this man was indeed an escort. Serci was a tad bit over serious, leading to unnecessary conflicts. Perhaps this man was a friend to Angela's as he spoke of earlier. Maybe even held some sort of importance to her? It wouldnt be the first time she forgotten to warn him about friends of hers. And luckily, this one didnt have a frying pan with him.
Serci examined the new comer silently before speaking formally, a sense of nobility in his movements. "Forgive me for being cautious. I wasn't informed of an escort. Besides, I am more than capable of handling anything I will meet." He said, reaching into his satchel and taking out the silver trimmed flask. The man had spoke of his fondness of the bottle, and being a citizen of this depravity probably wasnt shy of a drink. He handed the man the wine filled flask continueing. "But the road is long, and I would enjoy the company of another." Serci said, trusting the man. He gave a warm smile, tilting his head as reassurance. "Perhaps you already know me, but proper introductions are in order. I am Angela's champion. Serci." Tucking a stray strand of golden hair beneath an ear, exposing his girlish face, Serci offered a respectful bow of his head in place of a hand shake.
Around this time, the double doors that lead to the establishment's kitchen opened and the burly bar keep returned with a nod and a statement to return to the caraven. "Come now. Let us return." Serci said promptly, with a flourish of his gold trimmed cape, Serci turned on his heel and led his companion through the crowded streets. The smell of urine and throw up faded, leaving the salty breeze of the ocean air to asail their senses. Upon arrival of the wagon, Serci inspected the tightly packed shipment and smiled wirely at Kale, climbing onto the driver side, taking ahold of the reigns, resembling the posture of one of nobility. Offering hand out to his new acquaintance. "I am under the impression you know the details of this trip, but to be safe, I will go over the itinerary. We'll go east through Virens forest and through Bohar." Pausing to meet Kale's icee eyes, Serci spoke with a hint of sincerity. "I should'nt have to tell an experienced man such as your self, but the forest hides rogues, especially close to a place like this," Serci said with a snort of disdain. "And the plains are patrolled by bandits. Though, after we get through the plains, it should be smooth sailing south towards Adeluna."
"In Adeluna, Angela's clergy will take care of the boxes, leaving us with time to get a proper ale or two in a civilized establishment." Serci said with a smile. "Not too complicated? Then off we go." With a kick of his feet and a shake of the leather reigns, the pair was off.
