The boy was already proving to be more trouble than he was worth, especially since Phil knew she'd have to be back at the ship within the hour. Everyone in this town knew not to mess with someone bigger than you; they would inevitably track you down anyways. Clearly, Alister had no idea how things worked in Vilpamolan. "Nice one, Ali. Really great at finding trouble, yeah?" Bulky men glared down at them, but they had a clear opening to run if they wanted to. Still, Philomel had her own sense of arrogance and pridefully thought she could beat all of them, despite her non-threatening size and kiddish features. Grinning smugly, she pulled out her knife and pointed it at the ringleader she had taunted earlier. She rolled up her right sleeve, revealing the Sea Naga's tell-tale insignia tattooed on her arm.

"He wronged you, aye? And I'm sure you want revenge for that humiliation," she began, though none of the other pirates seemed to be taking her words seriously. "I'll have you know that he is under the Sea Naga's protection, so I suggest you leave him alone." An abrupt roar of laughter came from the group, and Phil huffed at their insolence, blowing a tuft of red hair from her face. She lunged towards the ringleader with her knife, but he easily dodged the attack and hoisted her up by her shirt. Writhing and squirming, Phil shouted out a couple of colorful swears she had picked up before the man tossed her aside, watching her roll across the dock. Stubbornly, the young girl tried to stand back up, only to wince at a pain in her shoulder. It was limp, and she couldn't move it, so she assumed the toss had caused her to dislocate it somehow. Out of options, Phil sighed and began sprinting off towards the other side of the port. "Alright, now let's try your plan!"

With a sigh, he grabbed her hand pulling himself up to the wood "You know I thought that was all rather impressive, I've never had three spells work in one day" letting out a chuckle before trying to ring out his clothes of the water "I remind you of a short, curly-haired and weird girl?" a grin growing on his face "But sure I could do with a hand to be fair the first person I asked tried to rob me so I had to tie him up" shaking the small coin purse while sticking his other hand out "and I guess my name is Alister Hex, but they call me Ali at home so I know how you feel about the whole name thing" giving a quick wink.

Walking through the docks, seeing fewer ships tied up than the morning he asked "So what about night makes this place so risky?" still trying to straighten out his clothes before patting down his trousers for his eyes to only grow in size in fear "I dropped my sword on your ship!" hand running through his damp hair in a panic "Oh god I stole that sword from my master, he's gonna kill me, I mean he's had the same hilt since I met him" going off into a circiling rambles muttering "Think Ali Think, you just need some brain food as dad says a good meal grants a deal or was it seal I dont remember" pulling out the last of some soggy cinnamon sticks and chewing on it with a sigh of relief looking back at Phil with an embarrased smile "Soooo if you tell me where you ship is going so I can grab my sword, I guess I would be grate-" as a large bulky hand landed on his shoulder and a voice that sent shivers down his back "There you are you little brat" turning to see the man from this morning with obvious rope burns on his neck backed with a few of his lackeys, simply due to being outnumbered, not being scared at all pffft, Ali backed up beside the girl asking "So two options run or sprint?" with a quiet chuckle mostly at the bad timing of the joke.

Phil stared at the boy, unimpressed by his attempt to show off. None of the crew were phased by his sudden appearance except for one. Crossing her arms, Philomel casually ascended the steps as Garon gripped the boy by the neck and tossed him over the side of the ship, hearing a satisfying splash when he hit the water. With a nod of thanks to the orc, the Rosenite peered over the edge with a smug grin. "Appreciate the effort, but the Cap'n only handles important matters!" she called, hopping onto the railing of the ship. She reached for a rope and jumped, holding tightly to the woven strands as she dropped down towards the docks.

Her boots landed clumsily upon the wood, but she accepted the landing with pride, striding over to where the kid had fallen. Squatting, she rested her arms on her knees while she watched him. "We probably woulda given you a ride, if you didn't get cocky," she laughed, amusement shining in her blue eyes. "Tell you what, though. You remind me of myself, so I'll help you find a ship to ride." Phil stuck out a hand with a genuine grin, her ruddy complexion a striking contrast to the boy's smooth skin. "Name's Philomel… Phil, for short," she greeted, waiting for him to respond with the usual jab at her masculine nickname. Honestly, she didn't mind; it gave her an excuse to punch people.

Nodding to her explanation before being rudely jerked from under the ship, still in a daze from the fast moment he quickly found from the prick in his neck that the aggressive girl in front was holding a knife to his neck "Look, I'm sure you have a misunderstanding and I would love to explain why" Ali starting his very detailed story of how he got here was slowly pulling the scribing tool out of his pocket gently enough to avoid detection as he started writing into the air a glyph "But my main arguement im afraid is, Sorry?" before activating his spell of safe passage falling through the mast and appearing at the bow of the ship looking rather green on the face as he leant over the railing with an awful gagging sound "Ugh,transportain spells are terrible, thanks Mom" wiping his mouth and smoothing out his clothes with the cocky smile reappearing on his mouth as he pulled out a scroll and started scribbiling away with flowing golden lines.

"Now I'm sure you've all recovered from your shock" wincing after saying it due to a quick memory of Randal slamming his head with a staff for being too showboatie while Wen giggled quietly in the background for her son's failed spell to once again backfire but once again that backfired spell might come in useful today for Ali was simply looking to scare the crew enough to see him as a danger so with a flick of his hand his sword was freed and the scroll wrapped around its sharp blade "But I feel a little under dressed for the occassion" running the page up as the sword seemingly caught ablaze with golden flames, knowing, however, the flames wouldnt harm the living in anyway but hoping with all might the people in front of him didnt know better allowing his sword tip to point to the girl "Sooo I guess, take me to your leader!" with mock bravado and once more a hand shooting up to rub the back of his head as his grin faultered a little from his cheesy line.

The Sea Naga had pulled into the port of Vilpamolan with the usual agenda of restocking on supplies via less-than-legal means. Most of the crew had paired off to purchase or steal certain items, but Philomel was always trusted to go alone to plunder silver and gold. Her rounds were usually successful, and today was no different. She had robbed no less than fifty people of their coin purses, swiped countless jewelry items, and even stopped to taunt a tied-up pirate who was babbling about some thieving brat. When she eventually met up with the rest of the crew, her amount of money was significantly greater than the others, causing Garon to nod and smile proudly at her. As the sun began to set, the crew returned to the ship to perform their settled routine.

Phil's job was to take inventory of the cargo– ingredients, new weapons, things like that. Grinning, she tucked a strand of wispy red hair behind her ear and grabbed the log book. Heading towards the trap door that led to the cargo area, she adjusted the loose-fitting shirt and frowned when she found a hole near the bottom, then shrugged it off as a mark of adventure. She was content with her life of fortune and adventure, even considering the Sea Naga to be her family. The thought was enough to make her smile with enthusiasm.

Her happy thoughts, however, were soon interrupted once she opened the door and found a boy squashing a bag of oranges by treating them as a chair. Furiously, she considered calling for back up, but she figured she could handle the stowaway on her own. "Oh, so you aren't a kid who ran away from his nice life with no plan and no money, then decided to leech off of someone else's profit?" He was clearly from a good home, judging by his clean clothes and intriguing sword. Somehow, he reminded her of herself, so she decided to go easy on him. Gruffly, she jerked him up by the collar, pointed a knife to his throat, and dragged him out of the storage area.

They hadn't yet left the port (though they would soon), so she considered tossing him out into the water and letting him swim for it. But she had a heart, and merely shoved him against a mast. No one paid them any mind, signaling the respect they had for their youngest crew member. "You have one chance to plead your case before I toss you overboard."

Breathing in the fresh air tinted with a sight salty smell, he finally felt free however the way he had done it would cause his adoptive parents to be rather mad looking down up the sword attached to his hip once owned to the great gladiator Viserys Serpentine of course his master would be fuming of the theft but once again had the man told him not to go out exploring into the unknown and that had been the final straw for the young man. However, looking at his other hand to see the small flicker of light dance across his palm Alister Hex did feel guilty for running away from his mother and father without saying a goodbye, simply because of his mother is a sweet dryad unable of seeing evil in someone's heart would worry until the letter he left on his sheets found but his Father the Archmage and Wraith Lord had struggled to teach Ali much to his dismay due to his unique amount of mana and until the boy had enough control was being forced to use conduits much like how most mages use staffs or wands Ali an all rounder with the elements was being forced to use a Glyph scribe a specially made pen that allowed up to write the spells design out into the air or onto objects.

Of course dwelling on such things would hinder his journey and first he needed transport out of this realm and due to money problems hoped to find it in the town of Vilpamolan, also know by his father as Scum Central due to being dragged there once by his old master Edgest,  but know as his feet clicked against the hard cobble of the paths he didnt feel unease but fully knowing once the sun dipped below the mountains this town would become a very different place so ex-student rushed along trying his best trying not to make eye contact with any of the citizens he fianlly got to the docks where ships of all sizes were tied up with guards surrounding each one finding it useless to keep gawking Alister spotted an scarred man frowning at something on their ship so allowing himself time to breathe the boy asked "Do you have a chance to travel for me?" the smile given back to him made the boy shiver as the sailor silently signalled him to follow as they walked down an alley.

What he wasnt expecting was the man to pull a knife on him asking for all his gold, giving him a funny look Ali awkwardly smiled while rubbing the back of his before cursing mentally about habits of his father telling the man "I dont have any silver let alone gold, but Im sure your willing to give me some?" before the hilt of his sword was pulled out into the man's stomach due to the tight fitting area they were in Alister couldnt pull it out completely resulting in him to flick his wrist out leaving a faint golden trail as the feather that rested in his right hand sparkled as he wrote out a spell that caused the frayed ship rope around them to shake before wrapping around the criminal like tentacles dragging him to the floor allowing the young boy to bend over tugging off the thiefs coin purse with a smirk "Im sure someone will come to help you!" giving a coy wave back to the man as he ran off.

Back at the docks he struggled to find any ships willing to take him for such a small amount of silver until deciding to just stowaway on one until it was too late for the ship and its crew to turn around so running aboard the first large ship with masts up he saw and managing to climb into its storage, he rested on top of a bag of strangely enough oranges closing his eyes for a few hours. However, the last thing Alister was expecting to see the trap door above him to open and with a snap of his wrist, he went "I swear this isn't what it looks like… Okay, maybe it is".
