His business finished in Vilpamolan, Icarus was preparing to set off on his own once more. He felt a sudden gust of wind that dissipated. With the way it felt to the common man, it could have been a light breeze that passed from the sea, but Icarus could almost taste the faint traces of magic in it. His senses were sharper than most, his body approaching the pinnacle of human potential now that he had no ability to use most magic.
The hints of it led him to glance toward the docks. Instinctively, he turned that direction and began walking to it as he saw a man departing a boat. He hadn't seen the rest of what transpired, but the man appeared to be drenched, having taken a dip in the sea at some point or another. When at last Icarus saw his face in better detail, he felt a bit of familiarity, prompting him to pull his journal out of his bag.
Within the pages of it, he had sketched the facial features of those he could recall from his travels. The feeling of magic in the breeze set his mind in motion, his hand quickly flipping through the pages until he eventually came to the facial features of the man in the distance. His notes were scattered with bits and pieces referring to wind magic.
Inquisitive as always, Icarus kept walking forward toward the individual, clearing soaking even as water dripped from him. In his past life, he could recall that they were on good terms, though the context of their interaction was lost with his own death. The resurrection, though, had come with the price of a vast amount of his memories. As he drew closer, Icarus held up a hand, as though waving to him.
"You look like you've seen better days. Guess we've got that in common," he called out, trying to get the man's attention.

((OOC: Might be a bit rusty. Please don't give up on me! Haha)
Drowning. Kale felt the icy salt water fill his lungs as he struggled against the currents. His body sank deeper and deeper into the growing darkness surrounding him. The sea stole the last of the air in his lungs and his consciousness slipped away.
Water forced its way up from Kale's throat as he awoke to the sound cracking of bone and began gasping for sweet air. His chest hurt immensely but he was alive. The light from the sky above was blinding, a white that burned the eye and swallowed the world. The world gradually came into view as his icy blue eyes adjusted.
A crowd was encircling him, their eyes filled with curiosity and amazement. They couldn't believe the man still lived. "You're lucky we found you in our nets," one of them said. A wry grin spread across this savior's face before continuing, "We thought you was dead for sure. But seein' as ya are alive, I think a reward's in order, don't you?"
Kale's mind was still struggling to understand what was happening. Beneath him was a wooden floor.
A dock? No. The floor is moving. A raft? Not with the mast… It's a boat. I'm on a boat… Thoughts began pouring in as he processed, ignoring the prods and demands for answer from the profit-seeking savior.
I'm alive, then.
Pushing himself up, Kale could see he was in fact on a ship, but it had docked in a strange town he couldn't recognize. "
Where am I," he asked, further ignoring the demands for payment. "Look," the rude man said, "You're in Vilpamolan, now are you gonna pay me or am I gonna have ta hurt you?" This drew Kale's cold gaze. "
I've nothing for you. I'm grateful, but I will kill you if you push me."
A roar from the man was the only response. He drew his blade and charged. Kale lifted his hand so his palm faced the man and snarled. Winds ripped through his attacker, cutting clean and through. All that was left was a lifeless body that fell into the sea. "
I'll be leaving. Thank you for saving me," he said as he walked out into this strange new town.
I need to find a way back, he thought as his mind turned towards the sister he'd left behind.
