Kisses Wounds walked through the Pirate Haven that she rarely walked through. Strange, given how many people were often hurt here, but she had slowly come to realise that she was neither welcome nor would she leave if she tended to everyone who was ever hurt here. It took a lot of self-control for her to not come here, but today it wasn't enough. Someone needed her help, and she was far too close to ignore it, so here she was. Finding no one. Now here she left, or at least she tried.
"Hey," A gruff, slurred voice cooed from behind the wolf woman, making her stop. "I ain't never thought about screwing no dog before… But I think you might be an exception…" The guy laughed, making the Druid turn around.
It was a man, obviously, sided by two other men. They were all dirty, gruff, and smelled horribly of alcohol, which meant Kisses was none too pleased.
"Come on darling… A Nice gal like you doesn't walk around like that unless she's looking for a good time," He chuckled, making the Druid roll her eyes a little.
"I am not interested. Please leave me to my tasks." She said coolly, not wanting to be misunderstood.
Unfortunately, the men weren't in an understanding mood.
Vinsue had been in the area cause of a ship and captain that had taken something that did not belong to them. Normally she could care less, but it was more personal than a trinket or pet.
She was in the bar trying to find out who had the young dragon, but to no avail. Everyone in the place was either too drunk to know, or too sober to tell her anything. In a huff, she left the bar. She quickly noticed a creature that did not belong, being swarmed by drunken men. It was a messed up situation, to begin with, but to swarm one of their own was not mutch better. The wolf lady just looked as if she was trying to get free from them.
Vinsue let down her hood and stepped into the group. She looked at the men with an angry face. "She said buzz off! Unless you want to deal with me I suggest you listen."
She took stance seeing that they were not going to back down.
"Oi, ain't no one askin' you to butt in. We're having a nice chat with this pretty little thing. Why don't you go mind yourself then yeah?" The larger of the three said, stepping up to Vinsue. Before he could get much closer, the wolf had stepped between them both, staff in hand.
"I would sincerely prefer the two of you did not fight. Honestly, I would rather just leave you all along your way, so that I may carry on unharried by you…" She stated calmly.
The man did not like being stopped by such a small woman, going to push her out of the way. "We'll deal with you in a seco-" He started, before suddenly he wound up face first on the floor.
Kisses had simply grabbed his wrist and twisted it in such a way as to pull him off balance. The other two jumped at the fighting actions, but Kisses seemed to deal with them in the same bored fashion. None of what she did was actually offensive. She simply seemed to manipulate their own movements, eventually leaving them in a pile on the floor. It was short. It was over.
As the men started to crawl up off the ground, the leader growled. "Ah fuck it! We ain't got time to deal with a freak like ya anyway," He snapped, wanting to get the last word in. A word that Kisses was in no rush to respond to as she stood there silently, watching the men leave.
"I appreciate your interference, though I do not think it had quite the effect you had desired…" Kisses said softly, turning to look at the woman from over her shoulder. "I hope I have not marred your pride at all. I just did not want any of them to get hurt," She said simply, turning to face Vinsue.
Vinsue looked at the woman that was obviously capable of getting rid of the idiots herself. The brutes were past drunk or they would have backed off once she had stepped in. She could hardly believe that the wolf woman had the guts to stand between her and the man. Then just flip him and his buddies around like pancakes.
If that wasn't strange enough, the Druid also just let them insult her, not moving to correct them or defend herself. This probably confused Vinsue even more.
The human-hidden dragon snapped out of her thoughts when the Druid started talking to her, relaxing a little more. "My pride will be fine. I see you value life, and I will not complain about that. Though the three drunk men you just let walk off will probably find another helpless girl to harass, and she likely will not be able to do what you just did." She said, looking to see if the men were still in sight.
She debated on following them but thought otherwise. She had other priorities. "None of my business what you do though. I have things I need to attend to anyway, so until next we might meet," She stated, nodding in acknowledgement. Then she turned, walking down a block to lean against the wall.
Vinsue now had a new problem. How was she going to get to black market traders? Her face was far to known, and it wasn;t like they would just let her waltz near the scum with the bounties on her head. Strange, given the place, was made for criminals. It would most certainly be a fight, that was for sure.
Normally, she wouldn't mind the idea of getting into a fight, be she had to start changing how she did things. She had a hatchling to feed, and another to find. She couldn't start taking any unnecessary risks. Then she looked at the sky, only to learn she had maybe an hour left until she had to be back home. The idea of going yet another night without being any closer to finding her child made her want to scream.
It was in this though, that Kisses walked past, looking at the concerned looked on Vinsue's face. "You seem distraught. I was brought here by pain, thought I was not expecting it to be a pain of the mind. Are you needing assistance?" She asked, looking the woman over.
Then her nose flared a little. "A dragon? I was wondering why I smelled one before, though I suppose I have found my answer now. It is clear, you are in distress. Please, allow me to help how I can," The Wolf offered.
Vinsue looked at the Wolf-Woman as she spoke. It wasn't surprising that she had guessed her true form. After all, her hair and matching skin was enough to say she wasn't human at least.
"I doubt you could help me really. The problem I have is most likely going to end in bloodshed, and by your previous actions I can tell you are not a fan of such things," The Dragon sighed, looking up at the sky as if looking for something.
"My problem is that my child was stolen from me recently, and I am having a hard time getting them back. It seems that no matter where I go I can't get any answers. Some people in the trading market might know something, but I have not been exactly helpful to the goals of the pirates. They won't let me go anywhere near them without raising the alarm."
Kisses nodded slowly, listening to Vinsues story. She thought about the issue, then had an idea. "I believe I may be able to help you. Though, you will have to trust me. Do you?" She asked, arching a brow.
