she had noticed that they where being fallowed as he lead her into the allies. When they stopped and he let go she rotated her arms and stretched to make sure they still worked the right way. She looked up to see him looking back. "Rugal, Its ok to drop the act now." She than looked around at the group of old friends. it was nice to know that they had her back though it was not safe for them hear.
They stopped at looked at he a bit confused. "He is a friend I found a wile back. I was low on coin." They smiled understanding the statement. "We need to talk latter but for now I need some coin meat us at my cave in in a few hours

Maintaining his grip on Vinsue, Rugal pushed her towards the door, ignoring the dagger that had been dropped onto the floor of the tavern. It did not seem to be of much value to him, anyway. The two had finally found themselves outside the tavern, on the streets still lit by the rays of the Sun, which was about to set. The quite romantic scenery was somewhat ruined by the attention that the fight Rugal fought at the tavern garnered, with many people's eyes drawn towards him pretending to hold Vinsue in a shoulder lock.
The apprentice was quick to lead his companion into the nearest alleyway and to take a few sharp turns in order to lose any particularly nosy witnesses. Having thought to have found himself some breathing space, he was about to release Vinsue from his grip, when he heard a loud shout from behind:
-
"Leave her alone!"Rugal turned around to see a shabby-looking man, soon joined by another one, each of which speeding towards Rugal, improvised clubs raised over their heads. The apprentice was quick to recognise the two men as innocents, looking solely to rescue what they supposed to be a damsel in distress. In their rage, however, the could not be reasoned with, so they had to be pacified - preferably as temporarily, and as harmlessly as possible. Having let go of Vinsue, he had conjured what looked like the energy orbs he would usually hurl against his adversaries. But instead, he had raised each orb in front of each of the men's faces as they ran at him, and let them explode in a flash of blinding light. Although one of them had stopped to bend over and rub his eyes, grunting in pain, the other one had ran blindly into a pile of debris on his path. Hopefully he was not too hurt…
Not certain whether to maintain his act or choose to clear out the situation, Rugal decided to do the former.
-
"This does not concern either of you. If you value your lives, you will cease following me."Soon after he said that, however, he found himself surrounded by many more shabby-looking men, some of these wearing what looked like ragged slave tunics. Most were armed, and these who were not, went on to scan the dirty alleyway for anything they could use. While they seemed to pose little threat to Rugal, he would have greatly preferred not to fight them. His eyes briefly turned towards Vinsue, as if asking her to suggest a course of action

the shoulder lock was a success and she lost the fighting urge. "
My mistake, I yelled" she said as if it hurt. it did not but she was well at pretending it did. she could have got out of it or she thought she could but knew he was tired from the fight. the dagger had fallen from her grip and she hoped he would pick it up and 'claim it' so she could get it back later but it was an old one that she had stolen from the lords when she was under their custody. she would leave without hesitation.

Rugal's eyes immediately wandered to Vinsue's hand reaching for her dagger, which she then swung at him. She did so in an exaggerated manner, giving the apprentice time to react to it, so he knew that she was still conscious, aware of the plan, and acting accordingly. He firmly gripped the woman's striking arm by the wrist and rested his other hand on her shoulder, intent on putting the woman in a shoulder lock as she was standing up. Or at least managing to loosen her pretend death grip on her dagger.
Despite being a mere act, the 'fight' between Rugal and Vinsue seemed to be a tiresome addition to the young man. He hoped that the woman would not insist on dragging the whole scene out further and that the two can quickly get out of there.

Vinsue awoke to being shook. The face being so close and the vice being so stern. Immediately got her going for her dagger. Halfway there she remembered it was all part of the plan and grabbed her dagger and swung in a way that he would be able to see coming and block. The room was still spinning but everyone knows that she would not go down without a fight even if she were planning on losing. If he did not block the slice would miss but not by much. She than got up and assumed a stance appropriate for a fight. She hopped he got rid of the dagger because she would feel less bad punching him than she would cutting at him.

The orb had burst into a bright explosion of bluish particles of mana as it had smacked against the man's face, throwing him headfirst against a wooden wall of the tavern. The other man, one that led the attackers turned to face Rugal, angered with what he saw. The apprentice had deftly ducked under the horizontal swing of his opponent's blade, before unleashing his energy-sheathed fists on him. Three strikes, each crashing into the man's body in a burst of mana, made a short work of him, knocking him unconscious well before he finally fell down.
Paying little attention to the surroundings, Rugal was quick to approach Vinsue, who looked unconscious after she took the blow. Not sure whether she continued to act, or she was indeed struck down, he kneeled down and shook her by the shoulder to see whether he will get any reaction. Nonetheless, he did not want to blow the act and as he did so, he spoke to her in his usual stern voice:
-
"We had concluded our business here. It is time for us to leave."If the woman would not react with giving any signs of life, the apprentice would lift her up onto his shoulder and leave the tavern to seek a secluded place where he could tend to her. These dirty alleyways the two had passed before seemed quiet enough, and hopefully shall remain so once he will bring her here.

"Actually were not, only the victor has that right and you do not count. he beat me you have not. beat him and we might." she stated to his statement. then he grabbed her arm and tried to pull her past. She did not use any of her powers to make it look real. she flopped to a sitting position. the man got angry at her.
"I'm not going…" she said before being knocked in the head by one of the other sword men.
she fell limp to the side as he had knocked her out. the man than turned back to see Rugal throwing the orb.

The swordsman who had just regained his composure was about to join the melee before Vinsue had distracted him. As he listened to her words, his pensive expression slowly turned into a satisfied grin. Hoping to take advantage of the distraction maintained between his comrades and Rugal, he pointed the tip of his sword towards her, while with his other hand he gestured her to stand up.
-
"Say no word, lass - we're leaving" - the man said.
Meanwhile, Rugal continued to defend himself against another of the swordsmen, who continued to put pressure on him with many strikes from different angles. Finally, confident that he had found a rhythm in which his opponent moved, the apprentice had boldly stepped in between the swordsman's strikes, hitting his solar plexus with a strong uppercut. Tired of the fight himself, he watched the man let go of his weapon before doubling over, short of breath. The one he had felled before was being carried outside by the other bar patrons, spurred on by the bartender, who was visibly annoyed by the brawls being common as they were in his property.
And the swordsmen's leader, whom he felled first? Having noticed that he had not been laying down where he was thrown down, the apprentice looked up to see him trying to sneak Vinsue past him, and even his comrades. That greedy sneak! Although Rugal was pretty confident that Vinsue will handle herself, he readied an orb of energy he would throw at the back of the man's head, had things turned awry.

His hand on her shoulder told her that he had agreed and that he wanted to take them by himself. she sat back down and crossed her arms. She was going to look like she was going to escape. she took note of what the 4 men were doing mostly watching Rugal. than once she saw what looked like a chance to get across the bar she stood up and ran for it. she was quickly blocked so she went and sat against the table. they were doing good at keeping her in this side of the bar. She looked around then got transfixed in the fight.
she kept a scowl on her face to show she was not happy. though many times she wanted to help and laugh. he was doing well with the fight wich was no surprise to her. Seeing the leader stand she decided to provoke him to look like she would take any help on getting free.
"I thought you guys were better than that. you know the price is yours yet you're letting my chapter beat you. if it weren't for the curse he would not have done came any were near what you all have at bringing me down." she said hoping it looked real.

At his first glance, Rugal could tell that these newly arrived goons will be more of a challenge, despite the fact that there were 'only' three of them, rather than the seven he had fought off earlier. Dressed much more cleanly and carrying actual weapons, the three did look much more competent than common street rats, indeed. Having given himself a brief moment to let Vinsue's words sink in, the apprentice gave the woman an approving nod. Having slowly stood up, he briefly rested his hand on her shoulder as he walked past her and towards the three men, quickly catching their attention.
-
"If there is anyone who had run out of luck, it is you" - Rugal went on to speak -
"She is currently my captive, for I had felled her. And I am going to present her to the Lords."As both Rugal and Vinsue, could have expected, neither of the three were willing to give up their part of the reward. From the looks on their faces, they were not believing that one man could achieve what three could not, either. And the leader of the trio was most eager to voice it.
-
"And I hold this filthy lands' entire Pantheon in my captivity. Look, kid, you aren't walking nowhere with our bounty. Besides, whatever it is you did to her, sure didn't involve you beating her into submission, for had you done so, we could tell. So, I'm pretty confident you won't stand a chance against us, either. Now you better move it, for we have a bounty to collect."Yet another fool who had underestimated Rugal and proceeded to push through him, only to be forcefully thrown against the tavern's wooden floor. And so, Rugal was to fight not three, but two swordsmen, who were quick to assume their fighting stances, ready to deflect the apprentice's next attacks. The young man had looked at the two in an attempt to assess the situation. Although he himself was not a swordsman, he could tell that each of the men had his form well practiced and had Rugal opted to strike, he would most likely regret that. He needed to put them off somehow, and he already had an idea coursing in his mind.
In preparation for an oncoming clash, the apprentice went on to sheath his arms in protective, bluish energy, having folded them behind his back. It might not be enough to allow him to block the well-swung strikes of a blade, but parrying these would be made much easier and safer that way. Now to get these swordsmen out of their zone of comfort…
-
"Seeing that you decided to go on the defensive, I take it each of us knows full well where we stand. I seek no further quarrel with you, so how about you aid your companion up, I bring the woman to the Lords, and we cease to get in each other's way from there?"The swordsmen looked at each other expectantly for a brief while, before one had shot forward, with his blade at the ready, shouting:
-
"You're going nowhere with our bounty!"The man had swung at Rugal, only to have his strike deflected by the apprentice's own swing of his hand, faintly glowing with the protective energy he had summoned. Having parried a strike of the man's sword, Rugal had thrown an energy orb against the face of another of the two men, who was about to follow his crony into the melee. The impact of the arcane projectile made the man stagger but was far from disabling him. Rugal had only managed to fight one of his attackers off before he was left to fight with another one. Eventually, all of the fighting men found themselves in a cycle where the apprentice would fight off a swordsman but another one would engage him before he would be able to deal a finishing blow. So by the time Rugal would fight off one of the men, another one would quickly recover and take his place. The young man's superior stamina was also declining, as his opponents would take turns resting and fighting. Finally, when one of them found himself unable to stand up, the brawl seemed to lean in Rugal's favor. Then, the swordsmen's leader, having finally caught his breath and recovered from being strongly thrown a while ago, proceeded to stand up…

she smiled as he asked if she had plans for them. at that point she did.
"Well we could make you a hero to them and gain some coin. You are strong and are a great fighter. they would believe you could and had taken me down. turn me in and head to my cave I pointed out before we came in there we could meet and split the coin." She said than looked at the door.
"There will be a small group come in soon. you could fight them and say that you want the reward for yourself than we could put on a show." she said all of it at a whisper. the plan was foolproof but she was not sure if he would agree to it.
She took a sip of her drink and watched the door. she was right about a small group coming in. 3 men strong and tall. each with a sword and each quite skilled with it. there faces were not new to Vinsue. the leader laughed as he spotted her.
"SilverTail, looks like you ran out of luck. some of my friends and the lord's want to see you." he said with a loud voice. She started to stand and wondered if he would join in or not. and if he would do as she said or not.

Rugal was most appalled, knowing that there is a place where atrocities such as slavery are not only common but tolerated, too. Perhaps it is difficult not to tolerate it when it gets you chased by determined mercenaries across the Haven and wherever else. All in all, Vinsue seemed to be doing Gods' work, and the apprentice was honored to have acquainted with her.
He continued to drink from his cup, as the woman explained whom they faced a while ago. It seemed that the rumors stating that Vinsue had been weakened brought onto her pretty much anyone desperate for cash, rather than solely groups of mercenaries who knew their stuff. Last moment's showdown might have been a cakewalk for him, but it seemed that he had yet to face an actual threat here. Having finished, he put his cup back onto the table and asked the woman:
-
"I see. I take it you have another attraction for us today?"

It was odd how he watched her. He now had questions and she could see it. she had ordered a glass of ale as she always did and led them to a corner table. she did not blame him for the questans but the way he watched her was odd she kept glancing at the door as different people walked in.
"That guy was one of the lesser gang leaders that the lords allowed to be here. and if one has the belief i lost my powers they all may think that wich will spark a fews curiosity though they are a bit smarter than him and are a good bit better at fights and swords."
She sipped her drink hopping she answered his question. than thought of how that would make her look. "Well the Lord's hate the fact i free the slaves and have offered big for my head and bigger for a live capture." she said then again sipped her drink.

The apprentice was most glad to see that the rumor he had just heard turned out to be… well, a rumor and nothing else, as Vinsue had incapacitated the man with a surge of electricity she had conjured. Although the sight of the man, convulsing as the remainder of the conjured electrical energy still surged through his body was not pretty, perhaps it could be said that he had asked for it, trying his chance to harm an innocent person for own gains.
Rugal gave Vinsue an acknowledging nod, as she gave him her advice. He had faced many other aggressors, mostly thieves and muggers, as he continued to train. And he only had to fight the most desperate of these, managing to talk the others down into giving up. Seems people think differently when they are after other people, rather than just their possessions. When the two had finally made their way to the tavern, Rugal had ordered a cup of stewed food drink that was being served there. He wondered what was the 'real fun' the woman mentioned, as he went on to sip his drink. Many thoughts coursed in his head as he went on to process all he had learned about Vinsue and this strange place the two found themselves in. What could have motivated her to go there in the first place, and what is the magnitude of the threat she is constantly under, while she's at it?
He did not let his eyes off her, as he continued to think, occasionally stopping to wonder what else the two will get to encounter during the day in this strange place.

She watched as they talked she smiled a bit herself. She only gives one warning and the man had no clue what he was about to go threw. she watched as the rest of the men stepped into view. she did not move and just watched. she was there if anything went wrong but she knew he could handle it and he did. she watched as he flipped the leader and all attention and effort went to him. he was graceful and quick. and quickly got the group to run off. she laughed at the leaders shock and anger wich quickly got his attention.
she pushed off the wall just as he brought the gaff down. a miss. she quickly threw a kick to his belt and moved out of the way. the man set his jaw and turned anger wild in his eyes. she dodged his blow and gave a kick to his face in the same move. he stumbled backwards into a pile of barrels.
"theory 2 wrong. without using my powers i remain undefeated." He slowly got up. and she let sparks dance on her arms.
"Theory three, too late I got my powers back. now last time i was hear you would have been right." he grabbed a piece of one of the barrels that his landing broke. she shot a jolt of electricity threw him and he blacked out. she turned after he landed on his back.
"Never mess with SilverTail." she said.
"You did good, just one warning will tell you if they will back down or not. anyways let us get to that tavern before the real fun begins." she then started walking. she wanted a drink before they try anything else.

So this was what Vinsue has been doing in such a vile place. To free the imprisoned sounds like one of most noble goals, and Rugal could happily approve it. Having followed her towards the tavern, he suddenly found himself confronted by a particularly large man, easily towering over him and Vinsue. He went on to taunt her before mentioning a rumor, apparently stating that her powers were blocked. That sounded terrible, but even in face of potential danger the two found themselves in, Rugal knew he was perfectly competent to handle the situation. However, was fighting necessary? The man did not seem like a foe worthy of his efforts, and that alone made the apprentice willing to give the goon a chance to back down.
-
"If you seek her harm, you have to go through me. Either that or back down, before I will have to use force."Unsurprisingly, his words were only met with hideous laughter, as the large man motioned his cronies to come over. In total, there were seven goons, one uglier than the other, most of each equipped with an improvised weapon of sorts. A club here, a fishing gaff there… these looked unassumingly but were perfectly capable of making a nasty wound if they were to hit. While this made the situation much more dangerous, Rugal did not lose himself and remained firmly stood in place. Maintaining eye contact, he spoke with calm yet stern voice:
-
"I am giving you a final warning. Back down and you will remain unharmed."This time, it seemed to have an effect. The large man's smile dropped, which did not go amiss on the other goons, visibly confused. The thug, however, could not allow something like that to demoralize his men and hinder his task of capturing or harming Vinsue.
-
"Well, kid, it was funny the first time, but now I grow tired of your nonsense. Will you get your sorry self out of there or do you want me to help you?"Rugal felt he did not need to answer to this question, and so he did not. The hulking thug took this as an invitation to come over and strike the young man down. However, he was in for a surprise when Rugal grabbed hold of his arm and, having turned around, he dropped into a crouch, pulling the meaty arm downwards. The thug was flung over the apprentice's shoulder and with a loud crash, he fell onto his back. Rugal had little time to appreciate the results of his handiwork, for he had yet to face the remaining goons, who promptly rushed in to aid their supposed leader. Rugal boldly stepped into the imminent melee, deflecting a gaff being swung at him and planting his foot firmly in the attacker's ribs, nearly folding the unfortunate aggressor in two as he fell over. With exaggerated spin kicks, the young apprentice kept others at bay, while looking for a window to strike.
Finally seeing two attackers too far apart from each other, he jumped in between them. Having grabbed hold of a goon who sought to strike him with a club, Rugal turned him around and pushed him into his crony. As the two had bumped against a wall, the apprentice stepped forward and unleashed a flurry of punches upon them. In a matter of a single second, each of their two faces was met with three punches before slumping onto the ground as Rugal turned around to face the others, visibly hesitant to move on. Their leader, who had been watching the scene unfolding before him since he was thrown to the ground, went on to shout at them:
-
"Curses! Ain't anybody going to act? Move it, before I move you!"As he slowly stood up, the three of his remaining cronies, spurred on by his encouraging words, did indeed move on. However, demoralized as they were, they did so slowly and hesitantly, making them easy pickings for Rugal. Luckily for them, he was not the one to take every excuse and opportunity to cause harm. Seeing a goon trying to strike him with a gaff of his own, the apprentice had swiftly snatched the tool out of his hands before chucking it aside. The three were quick to flee, much to the large man's disgruntlement. Although he remained the only one standing against his target and the man who had just beat his little gang into submission, he turned out too stubborn just to let it go. He made a foolish mistake, picking a discarded gaff from the ground and attempting to rush down Vinsue, whom he believed to have lost her powers. Poor fool had no clue that he had left his fate in her hands.

"Sadly no. as i said i have tried but once one has gone threw what they have it is hard to give them hope. I have helped the ones in the arena and often save those that i can before they are broke like that. " she said as she started walking once again. she keep her eyes strait ahead as she walked. she saw those that whire waighting and keeping track of her but pretinded not to notice.
She decided that it would be best to find a tavern to fight in for thats where she always is when they start something. as they near the tavern she stopped and crossed her arms. guess they where not going to make it to the tavern. She knew that someone was waighting. and than a laugh came from the side street. the tall buff man stepped out in frount of them. he had a dark tan and black hair. She lissiened as she readied her stance. Usuly there are three to six of them. where where the rest?
"I see you found you a body guard, SilverTail. Did the last visit hear rack your nervs that bad? or Is the rumer true?" he said a bit cocky. She looked back at her friend. no offince to him but he really did not look like a body guard. corse she knew a lot more than the man did. "What rumer? and where are your buddys?" she said knowing something was up.
"your magic is blocked. and if thats the case any one of us could take you down." he said. wow that was a slow rumer and she was surprised to hear that they even found out.
"well want to test your thearys?" she leaned aginst the wall. "
first thery is wrong he is just trying to learn the tricks of the traid." she than motioned her friend twords her apposer. "test one" she said

Vinsue's warning made the atmosphere much more serious, even in face of a merry facade, for which the bright surroundings constituted. And that was before the woman had put her hood up and headed towards some unremarkable alleyway, easily contrasting with the colors of the Haven's main street. Or pretty much every other aspect. It was bleak, it smelled, instead of cheerful people going about their business, there were drunks huddled beneath the dirty walls. Some of them laid in what seemed to be palettes of body fluids a person could possibly extract, some others were not even looking alive. At least with the facade gone, there was nothing to distract him from the sense of danger looming over them? So much for the positives, of which Rugal could possibly think.
And then Vinsue led him near the and of said alleyway, which seemed to lead out towards the Haven's fabled port. Now, it did not look like particularly worrisome. Even after Vinsue mentioned how did all these men end up working as they did, it still did not look like as if they were enslaved. This would not be Rugal's first lesson on how truth seems to differ from whatever meets the eye. Having heard Vinsue's statement on the state of mind these people are in, the aspiring apprentice felt much saddened. Having turned towards the woman, he asked:
-
"Is there still anything we can do to help, then?"

"
Last thing before we go in. I go by SilverTail in his port town for many reasons, i prefer not to use my real name within the walls." she said she was glad to see him happy and lost in thought but that was dangerous. If one wanted to test their strengths in a real fight this was the place as she had learned. He would be safe with her but she would not always be there. She put up her hood just before they entered the city. the streets were at their usual busy state as many walked about some even staggered and laughed definitely drunk.
If one did not like this they should stay out of the city cause it only gets worse. She turned into an alleyway and and keep walking. She knew that she was being watched and knew at sundown she would be pursued and was thinking if she would rather any fight to be in the street or in a tavern. she came to a place that one could see the ocean and many men toting creates into a shop and onto a boat.
"Pore saps can't speak after what the lords did to them. They have been broke and refuse to be freed. Sad, truly I have tried to help but there will is gone."

Rugal was most thrilled about an opportunity to see more of the world, especially after his trek with yet another experienced adventurer he took not long ago had endowed him with knowledge he was more than willing to put to test. Accompanied by Vinsue, who had offered to take him here in the first place, he wasted no time eyeing the distinct and colorful streets of the Haven. It looked pleasant enough, though if he is to believe what Vinsue told him back in the tavern in Iria, the looks served as a facade for all the shady business going on here. And they did so pretty effectively, from the looks of it.
His musings came to an abrupt pause, as the woman asked him a question.
Does he have what it takes to survive?-
"I am pretty positive that I am, indeed. I figure you told me all I need to know, as of to what to look out for" - he answered, returning his smile. He found it odd how she seemed to be in such a good mood, being fully aware of the dangers looming above them… and perhaps anyone else present. Seems everyone needs to find a bright side to the situation they find themselves in, which again, was well helped by the colorful streets made that much brighter by the intense sunlight. Pleasant fragrance emanating from the local taverns and eateries, as well as high-pitched squeals of seagulls gliding overhead contributed much to the experience, too.
The young apprentice looked at Vinsue expectantly, wondering where is she planning to lead him. Having ditched her robe she wore when the two first met, she looked so much different, especially with her white hair flowing freely with an occasional breeze passing along the busy streets. He himself remained clad in his usual attire, the bright colours of which helped reflecting the sunlight and heat it carried.

She was happy to have someone to talk with as she walked down the path. Her hair and hood were down. She wore a long brown skirt that started at her ankle and rose to her knee. It had coins hanging on it's bottom at an the angle in three rows. she wore a long sleeve brown shirt that buttoned up and had 3 rows of coins hanging on the bottom of it. under that she had a white undershirt that only the top can be seen as she had the top button unbuttoned as she walked. The coins clicked to the beat of her walk and she quite liked it.
"Well there it is. the city ruled by the worse. So Think you got what it takes to survive?" She asked with a smile. She was in a good mood now that she had her powers back she had nothing to fear though she hoped that his opinion of her in the end would not be negative. She was known to have triple chase her here and hoped they would not chance a fight with her after last time she embarrassed those that captured her.
