It had been some time since he had released Hendrix and learned the location of his rebellious son, Sol. Things got a tad more complicated when it was revealed that he had an accomplish and as if fate wanted to strike him with a cruel joke once more, it had to be one of Cyprus' daughters that he had never known about. How even from beyond the grave did this woman somehow crept behind him and pulled one over again. In hearing that she was supposedly a powerful denizen of the sea, even Eldora didn't wish to cross her unless she threatened her daughter or mate. That made him think that his hand-picked assassin, as well as both Eldora's and Undine's sister, wouldn't be enough to deal with her and Sol. This would require help, something that Hendrix washed his hands of as of recent. That left one option and he wasn't too keen on but it had to be done. The only ones that knew how Sol was inside and out were his own siblings and he knew the perfect pair that was…eccentric enough to go against him.

The lord found himself opening the tomb of the older sibling first and soon emerged a fairly tall woman, eyes that shined crimson stared out from the blink of the darkness. She wasn't particularly fond of being woken up so abruptly but the fresh air flowed into the cramped space as she stepped out into the vault and looked at her father for the first time in ages. "How long was I in there?", she spoke up, rubbing her eyes gently. "And where's Samyaza?"

"About a thousand years, give or take. As for…him"

Xunatar was a bit reluctant in releasing him this early- he would have preferred to do it in a few days to mentally prepare himself for a headache that was about to come. He moved to the next tomb and opened it. Keres smiled as her twin slipped out within moments, a bit dazed but as soon as he looked to Xunatar to her, he flashed a dangerous smile. "I see, I see, I see. The old man's caved and missed seeing our faces, right pops?" The god was clearly not amused but Kere welcomed him with open arms. "Either that or he needs us for something", she smirked as she stroked his head affectionately. She looked around the place and noticed that some of the others were missing. "Who else was freed?"

"Hendrix…and Sol."

"Oooh, I see now. Brother Hendrix is a harmless gnat, but Brother Sol? I thought it would be a cold day in the Inferno before he'd ever be let out." But as she could see that one of the tombs looked like it was blown up, a voluntary release didn't seem likely. "So, I take it that we were let out to fix this mess?"

"As always, your deductive skills are sharp as steel. The boy must be brought back to me. You both are to accompany my assassin and seek him out. I know that you two can handle him well enough. Do this and you will earn your freedom”, he stated.

“Samyaza peeked up and tilted his head, “Sounds intriguing. Brother Sol was a liar anyway. Thinking that he would best you and take over as the family head. And worse off, thinking he could boss us around, like Sis?”

“Yes. He tricked us into siding with him, and for that he will pay.” Her voice was stern and cold as her memory was coming back. He certainly could sway others to follow his word, but this time there would be no silver tongue to distract them. But before he could voice her opinion some more, she felt her body overwhelm from the inside, enough for her to fall on her knees. “Sis?” Samyaza looked on with concern before he too succumb to the very same thing. “What are you doing, old man?”, he muttered out in between the fits of pain.

“Returning your powers back is all. Your bodies will regain it by themselves too slowly for my taste, and Sol would wipe the floor with you both in that case. At least now I won’t have to worry. Oh, and don’t cross me again or else.”

After a few minutes, Keres felt better, stronger than she had been in a long time and slowly rose to her feet and helped her brother back up. “Don’t worry, father. We wouldn’t dare to dream of it…”

When he had first heard about one of his eldest children escaping the vault he had place the most traitorous spawn in, the God had been highly skeptical. Those tombs were meant to conceal even the most powerful demons in the realm, and Sol had found a way to break through. How? Even he could fathom how it was possible. It had nagged him when he took it upon himself to go to the highlands and make it to the mountainside that was hardly ever traveled by most. When he came to a familiar spot, he waved his hands and the earth slowly moved to grant him access inside. One could easily get lost in the cavern system, with its constant twists and turns to make sure that no one got in or out alive that he didn’t want to trespass.

Once he made it through the correct path, he found the tombs- hollow capsule-like structures that stuck out like sore thumbs against the earthy terrain they settled into. Their entrances were enchanted with magical runes that suppressed their demonic captives’ powers. Sure enough, he spotted one of them broken and he frowned deeply. So he had escaped. Perhaps he had sent all that time plotting or digging his way through. It was possible but still highly unlikely. It was a problem, nonetheless since he had been the one to lead his brothers and sisters to revolt against their father.

Yet, equality as strange, his tomb seemed to be the only one that wasn’t intact. Perhaps he had given up on them, at least for now. While he could hunt him down himself, Xunatar came up with another idea. Perhaps a terrible one, but it would be interesting. He moved over to another tomb and broke the seal by ripping the runes out of their sockets. One that happened, he moved over to the side and pried the seal off, letting it tumble onto the ground and peaked inside.

Slowly, someone stirred from what seemed like a horrible slumber. Sleep wasn’t the easiest thing to gain, even though that was all most of them could muster to do. With a long yawn, a person came out, one with dark crimson locks and eyes as golden as the sun. His dark skin made his appearance all the more unique and out of place with the general public as did his attitude.

“What gives…”, he sighed, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes before cracking his back. “Hate cramped up spaces, but I hate waking up more…hey wait a minute.”

Everything was slowly coming over to him as he remembered following that fool of a brother of his in his crazy crusade, only to end up on the losing side. The moment his eyes came into contact with his father, he gulped and backed himself inside the tomb.

“I rather not be punished any further, father. I wasn’t trying to break…”

“I released you, Hendrix”, Xunatar said with a wave of the hand.

“I need you to locate Sol and figure out what he’s up to.”

“Sol? He’s out?”

Hendrix looked over a couple of tombs away from his and sure enough, his was empty.

“That bastard, he left us here this whole time?”
He yawned again and stretched a bit more, “Fine, but does that mean I’m free now? I only joined him because I thought he’d win, all things considered.

The god gave him a wary look, “He will never win. You are smarter than that, boy. Did you really think he had a chance?

The redhead blankly stared into space, considering the odds once more and shrugged. “Guess not, he was just certain that his hand was higher. Knowing him, he’s probably back in Abed. You know, that whole cult of his and whatnot.”

“The cult is no more, I made sure of that after you lot lost.”

Hendrix stuck a finger into his left ear and moved it around. The next best thing would have been that his brother was trying to start again. But this time, he would be wiser not to mess with the demon king, especially since he felt different. A scary sort of different. “Either way, he’s probably there. Am I supposed to bring him back here?

“No, you will simply locate him and let me know. Perhaps then I will pardon you.”

“Great.”
